Wow, those albums are gonna keep you busy, I especially liked the Belgium WW1 cover that you showed as well as the Persian one. Great score, looking forward to the next batch of albums
Hello Mallard, how are you?? Thank you for the video. I really like this kind of videos, going through old albums and see what are inside!! Thank you very much. Greetings from Portugal!!
Good to see you again Daniel. Glad your time away was a joy! Can not wait on more videos my friend! Crazy, I'm from the area you are leaving, GSO-HP-WS. Been in TN for 5yrs.
Mallard, the items at 5:22 are US Souvenir Cards, printed by the USPS and the Department of Engraving and Printing. As you noted they are sold at major domestic and international philatelic shows that the USPS attends. They are listed in the Scott’s US Specialized Catalog at values for both mint and with show cancels applied. Most are valued in the $1 to $5 range. There is even a small US Souvenir Card Society, but the number of members are rather small. They are usually displayed as shown in this album at one card per page.
awesome albums, will keep you busy for quite some time. hope you enjoy the stamps. looking forward to your next video. Hope the little one is doing good.
Nice lot of stamps. Regarding the two types of French stamps at 8:26, Scott describes them under illustration A15. The two types have to do with how the “N” in “INV” in the imprint lines up with the word “REPUBLIQUE”. Type I: “N” is under “B”. Type II: “N” is under “U”. In most cases, type I is worth more than type II.
Those first flight covers are cool. Planes didnt fly far with a tank of gas. Shows all the diffrent stops if did with the cancellations to the post office stops. I only have one Trans alantic cover in my collection with all the stops.
Can I ask you what your collection is approximately worth. I have tried to appraise my collection and it is really difficult. I know it's not my business but I watch all your videos and it would be cool to have an idea of your net worth
