I have 12 c4 White rock lights on my truck and In the market for a New trailer 17' - 27" trailer and plan on putting 4 down each side to help with set up and backing into camp spots at KOA. The install was clean and looks awesome good job Broski A++++
Cool job I actually got a roll of led strip lights and was gonna go that route but after seeing the rock lights I definitely am gonna install those instead thanks for the simple and easy to understand video!
Dude, nice job and thanks for sharing. Was thinking about some 3m backed strips but this seems way better. Doing it this week but only ordered the 4 pack, cause I don’t want to light the other side of the camper and annoy neighbors. Thanks again.
Bad azz 👍👍was looking into led strip lighting ,, only 8 mounting pionts compared to getting the strip lighting to stick the whole surface is a pain ,, i know this aint my first LIGHT show did the under lid of my camper shell witch came out TITS nothing would hold the light to the carpeted shell but good ol' silicon along the bottom ... great vid
Perfect! Thank you! I wanna pimp my lil camper with some rock lights and this is what I needed. I wasn’t exactly sure how to go about powering it. The question I have is how do they turn off once they are wired hot? Does your app turn them on and off through the controller?
Crystal Geiger no I did this a while back. I tied to capture most of the parts in the video. The exact led lights and parts have likely changed but I'm sure you can use similar light kits for your project and get the same results. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching! The holes are not going to be a problem as far as compromising the structure of the frame. The self tapping screws are pretty quick and very durable. I think the tape would work initially, but I would be surprised if it lasted more than a year or so. Let me know how it holds up!

I’m curious, where did you have to place the extensions? Is it to connect the 4 from the other side to make the run across the camper or was it between lights on the side? I have a 19 foot camper. I want the 4 on each side also. Just curious how many extensions I should get. Thanks. Great video.
You may only need two. One for the drivers side rear and drivers side forward if you place the controller on the passenger side middle. With a 19’ trailer you may be good without the extensions. They are not expensive $12 I think. Better safe than sorry! Or wait and see and order them later. Let me know how it turns out!
Awesome job! Well explained! What size L brackets did you use that hold the lights to the trailer? Also were the L brackets pre drilled with the correct spacing to hold the lights or did you have to drill them yourself? If they were predrilled where did you buy them?
Is drilling through the frame and hitting a gray, black or freshwater tank not a concern? I have no clue how they are actually positioned in the frame and like yours, mine are covered.
Your black tank is usually located right underneath your toilet and near your sewer discharge outlet. If you use the 3/4" self taping bolts like in the video, you will be fine. If you want to make sure just unscrew your liner in a few spots near your sewer outlet and take a look at your tank locations.
I don't but I can tell you the link to the lights are posted in the comments and the brackets and self tapping screws are from hardware section in home depot
I was under the assumption to never drill through the frame of any vehicle. That it could void your warranty also could cause the structural integrity of the frame to be jeaprodized ...
Brandon Foster I just played around with them until it aligned with a good looking spot. I believe they were about 3-4 feet from the trailer edge and about 6 ft apart in the middle. Honestly the light puts out so much glow it ips pretty forgiving of all of the crap under the trailer. Just make sure they are evenly spaced apart from each other. This will make it look like a professional job.
Chris - how are they holding up? Anything you would have done differently? I too was thinking LED strip - but it makes sense to use the rock lights as a secure way to bolt to trailer frame. Great video - thank you.
They have been great. I have had no problems. They are awesome and in have used them a lot when we arrive at night and need to set up in the dark. I just get out the phone and use the app to set the color and brightness and boom.
Now if people would learn to turn them off when they go to bed, so that others can see the night sky and keep light pollution down. Every time I ask people if they would, most gladly do so. Of course their are always the few….
So you were going to use the “fish line” and return it. Disappointed to say the least. Please people don’t take advantage of retailers that help by have items available to use immediately then return it when you are done. Not honest.
Tim G relax my friend, Home Depot is doing just fine. Lol. If it makes you feel better the thing is awesome and I kept it. I've used the heck out of it for lots of projects! Thanks for watching!

Great idea. Just what I have been looking for. Nice touch, painting the bracket
Awesome! I’m glad you found it. I love the lights. It is great to change the mood with your phone as you sit by the fire with a yeti
Great video. I bought these lights and wasn't sure how to mount them. Great step by step video. Hopefully doing mine this weekend.

Very informative. Well done! Saved us a bunch of time trying to figure out how and what tools etc are needed.
Thanks Norma!

Chris Tenaglia keep me posted on your project
I was wondering what brand of lights you bought I have read alot of bad reviews and I just want a good set !!!
+Chris Tenaglia the only thing that came with the set was the brochure the says mini rob rock lights Bluetooth.
Look at 1:30 in the video
Looks awesome! Definitely want to do mine. But doesn't the the kit say the control box isn't waterproof?
GREAT job Chris....im doing this

Thanks for the kind words! The app turns off the lights via blue tooth on your mobile device.
Good job. What is the distance between your light pods? I'm doing the same setup.
I think it was about 5-6 ft. I had to play around with it due to different obstructions on the frame
Great video! My camper is similar in size. How many extension cables were needed?
Charlie Murphy thanks for the feedback. It’s been a while but I believe I ordered 4 and only used three
Is there a list of all supplies used. Or Amazon link for type of rock lights purchased.

I’d be nervous about drilling that many holes in my RV frame. I think I’m going to try with 3M tape.
Thanks for watching! The holes are not going to be a problem as far as compromising the structure of the frame. The self tapping screws are pretty quick and very durable. How many 10ft extenders did you get for the 8 rock lights? I have a 35 ft bunkhouse lookin to do the same.
ThatEquine Pilot I ordered 4 and I think I used 2. They were only 7 bucks each so better safe than sorry!
Wanting to do this myself, not seeing a parts list in comments do you still happen to have one?
I don't but I can tell you the link to the lights are posted in the comments and the brackets and self tapping screws are from hardware section in home depot
I was under the assumption to never drill through the frame of any vehicle. That it could void your warranty also could cause the structural integrity of the frame to be jeaprodized ...
ramzy1013 not sure about the warranty, but holes that small will have zero impact on frame integrity.
OMG IM YOUR BIGGEST FAN!!!!!! BEST VIDEO EVER!
Yeah what she said!
Thanks for the video nice work!
Thanks for the kind words. We took the rv out last weekend and the lights were a huge hit!
How many extra cables did you buy?
I bought 6 but did not use all of them. They were really cheap. Like 6 or 7 bucks so better safe than sorry
New to this, but why is the fuse necessary?
Just want to add a layer of protection between the battery and the light control panel.
What controls the on-off for the lights? Did I miss that?
It is controlled by an app on your phone via Bluetooth
How do these turn on and off? Is there an app for your phone that allows you to turn them on and off
Yes. It connects to an app on your phone via bluetooth connection. It's pretty sweet!
Did you get away with only needing 1 extension?
I bought 4 and used three. They were only about $7 bucks a piece so better safe than sorry!
How far apart did you mount the lights? I just started my install this evening on my trailer.
Brandon Foster I just played around with them until it aligned with a good looking spot. I believe they were about 3-4 feet from the trailer edge and about 6 ft apart in the middle. Thanks boss. I finished mine up. Turned out perfect. 4 feet gaps, no extensions needed. I ordered them but didn't have to use them.
