Stefanie is just amazing. I admire her so much for all the wonderful chances she endeavor's to take with her career. A truly remarkable woman, actress and singer. --Thank you for sharing.
Stefanie is performing at The Hippodrome Casino in London in a few weeks time, it's small, its intimate and if you're a fan you can't go wrong with a night out there. I saw Kerry Ellis on Monday and it was an amazing night!
do you have a recording of Kathryn Evans (the London revival Norma, from a couple of years ago). I saw that either just before or just after opening night, on a Saturday Eve, sat immediately in-front of ALW himself!
@onlyalittlewicked I agree with you. I had the good fortune to see Ms. Powers in Ogunquit last year, and while she certainly was good she was not my favourite by far. She had the haughty star persona down pat, but I felt her performance was a little too refined and stilted. Her voice was okay, and perhaps if she'd been directed better she could've come across stronger.
I really dislike that she decided to make the notes at 2:23 into more an elongated speech instead of actually singing. That is the part that's meant to be belted out...
The thing with Stefanie Powers is beyond some nice late 60's Disney movies, she never made that one film that connects with viewers. Die Die My Darling is maybe the one she'll be known for?
That's was horrible. I mean... she can't even hit the notes- and flips in and out of bad head voice, scooping and back singing- after that, no one can ever judge Glenn Close again. I'd have boo'd her.

Oh how I wish they would do a soundtrack with Stefanie. She is now my new favorite Norma Desmond!!!
Ms. Powers did a very creditable job as Norma Desmond.
She’s as good as a lot of the actresses who have played the role in bigger venues.
Thumb’s up.
Absolutely beautiful.Thank you so much for sharing
i didn't know she could sing. bravo, stephanie!
Lovely, thank you!
WOW!! I didn't know she could sing like that!!!! I'm impressed! :)
There's really no right or wrong -- they're all personal opinions. Some like, some don't. That's what it's all about!
How beautiful! What a wonderful voice!
It was a pleasure to have shared the photo with you.
Thanks for this! I love it! :D
I am impressed. I didn't know she could sing. I wish she would do more musicals.
You should check out her CD
@HouseOnSunset "Thumbs down queens"! LMAO! Love it, House!!! :)

i was interested to find this; didn't know she had played the role. Wonder how she'd have sounded with her good friend John Barrowman as male lead?
Where did she play the role? On tour?

Call it what what you want- but she clearly can't hit the notes.
Wow ! Who knew?
Can you please post Stefanie singing "With One Look"?
This is my post from my old account. There is no recording of her performing with one look. The master was only able to record the second act
What does that mean, "on the second after the show"?

why do people always cough?
Why do people breath? lol
@onlyalittlewicked Don't worry about those thumb down queens, I agree with you! :)
There's a "T" in the word "frightened. Articulation is a thing of the past.
Her voice needs work. But, I Love her as an actress.
It's impossible to follow Betty Buckley!
Her Norma is a bizarre mutation of Patti LuPone and Petula Clark.
there are vocal coaches, who can make the worst,,,,,seem ok..
2 words....BETTY BUCKLEY
Way too much vibrato!!!!
Man you are so wrong.
