  • It's official, I sold my Sony NEX-FS100. After almost 3 years of ownership, I figured I'd do a closeout video, a final review of sorts, showcasing the picture profile I spend hours perfecting and sharing to the world.

Hey Patrick, I had the fs100 for 4 years and it did it's job well for me. I've upgraded to an fs5 last year and I love it. I kept my fs100 and i'm using it for live events, a b cam and for some harsh low light moments, that the fs5 is too noisy for that purpose.
well done for all of your PP that you've created! I play with them from time to time, especially when I'm using the fs100 for family documentation, unpaid events and I don't mind take it with me for weekend trips etc.

Love this video. It’s kinda of inspiring. It’s cool you kept it for so long and worked around it until it was just wasn’t sufficient for you. I’ve seen so many people mindlessly upgrade their gear before they know how to fully work the equipment they had. However, Hope you journey is still going well though!

What's the most affordable camera with interchangeable lenses and onboard XLR inputs that outputs to an MP4 file format?

    Thank you for video!
Please tell me which would be better sony pmw f3 or sony fs100 for short films? I don't have enough money, so I think I will have problems with lenses on sony pmw f3 (because it has ARRI PL mount)

truthfully, the FS100 unless you have the budget to build out the f3. The FS100 on it's own is more than capable enough for short films, and unless you have the resources for a PL lens kit and an external SDI monitor, the only benefit over the FS100 will be SLOG and the bitrate to the external monitor, otherwise the FS100 is more than enough, as evidence of me using it for a handful of productions and the quality i've been able to capture with it.

@@PatrickLipp Hey Patrick, I did the same thing....sold my FS100 a few years back. I have now re-purchased another one because I just missed how simple it was to use and the quality coming out of it is still unbeatable.
