When I had my 2018 supercharged and I ripped everything out at 10.5 psi of boost it was around 9.8L per 100 km but stock it was 16L per 100km and I was always in it
i'm jealous. Sometimes i consider selling mine and starting all over with anything newer than an early 09 so i'd have a 6L80 and all id have to do is buy a converter.
Love my 09 in black with 8 pa s s leather with the rubber mat that is the only way that you can get rid of your carpet 30 lbs of dirt or just the smell of the previous owner and the reason why she had copd
It is my daily. Although I don't make a trip to work everyday like most do. But it iis my primary vehicle I use for trips and day to day running around.
i'd say its well worth the money night and day difference and still drives like stock when your not in it. Its really not quick compared to alot of the stuff locally lol due to the weight etc. but its still fun.

That and most of the people i hang out with are out my class when it comes to racing. Its just a shelf ON3 kit for a silverado and i had some alterations done to the intercooler piping.

i paid somewhere around $2300 for the kit which included everything aside from the injectors. Turbo, intercooler, piping, wastegate, BOV, oil return and feed, etc. There are some things you will need that didn't come with the kit as well. Also yes this kit does retain the factory driver side manifold.
Not really sure. it all depends on what look you are going for. If you want it to be extremely noticeably low i would recommend the adjustable 4-6. I personally think anything above a 3 on these trucks isn't worth it.
No problem. Hopefully I'll have some more videos with mine here soon. Upgrading the fuel pump this week and going to start purchasing parts for the trans swap and stuff.
@@backagainmedia6478 Was it an email tune via HP tuners or was it in person? I would like to build a turbo ls but I'm not real comfortable tuning the gen 4 GM's with stock ECU. I know PCM of NC will do it but not sure if I'm comfortable with them tuning it.
@@GreatLakesLogger it was a sequence of remote tuning using HP tuners. Didn't take to long at all. He is very knowledgeable and helped me fix and understand more than when i had it tuned locally on a dyno. Also even sold me my HP tuners stuff. Atomicfabricationandperformance
it is a custom tune but it has been remote tuned. When i first completed the kit i had it tuned locally and overall just wasn't happy with how the truck performed. So i had it retuned by a guy that was well spoke of on the forums and could be happier with it.
i haven't done much with it due to some life changes. But the only thing i have changed on it since this video is i installed water meth kit and with a 70/96 instead of the 76/96 that was on it. Tried doing a few test launches but the 116k mile 4L60 wasn't having it so i currently don't have second gear. But it still drives i just switch between it and my vette.

@@jakelinkenbach45 the 430 is rear wheel horsepower it has a new GM LS3 480 horsepower crate engine with CNC ported LS3 heads on E85 with 450 miles on it with a circle D 4200rpm stall converter one piece aluminium driveshaft to mention a few upgrades vs a 5200 pound 5.3 turbo Tahoe that makes 420 rear wheel horsepower better be turning up the boost my 2011 CAMARO SS is not a stock L99 or LS3 my friend so you do some research before you open your pie hole and my numbers don't include the 150 200 or 250 hit of nitrous take a laptop change the timing from 26 degrees advance to 19 and your ready for nitrous right now it has the 150 HP jets in it but haven't used it yet

Its actually fairly simple. Completely stock 5.3, LSA injectors, Walboro 450 in tank pump. On3 76mm kit. AFM and DOD turned off in HP tuners. Tuned by Atomic Fabrication and Performance. Your truck should perform alot better with it having a 6L80. My truck doesn't miss any shifts but it pulls timing to make them so its not a firm shift which isn't great for track E/T. I've made some changes and i'm certain it pulls harder than in this video, need to get out and film an update.

@@mr.monitor. it'll take quite of a bit more beating than most think. As i've done numerous 1st-3rd gear pulls as well as rolls on the highway and taken it down the track a few times. Still makes all of the shifts. I'm not claiming i'm still not going to do the 80 swap but they take alot more of beating when the tuner knows what he's doing and your not trying to rev it to 7k.
Ok so I have to ask, because everytime I see it it bothers me. Why do you not run a air filter on your motor? Is it only for video then put it back on or what..? No one would run a stock car and just remove the air filter, so why do it on a turbo car?
it does have a slight lifter tick when cold. i can see where the video makes it seem that way. The truck still had a few exhaust leaks at this point as well as when you have the camera right up close to whatever your filming it intensifies the sounds. But a cam DOD delete and lifters are on the list.
@@TonySoprano-p6i outdated 1400 dollars to get a really good rebuild by a reputable transmission tech for the 4L60 2200 dollars for the 6L80 being outdated saved me 800 dollars got 800 dollars to give me I'll take it you can call me outdated that's fine
mine personally yes that's what i use it for. But i also don't leave my house to go to work everyday. Turbo charging it took out the option to run 87 in it . But depending on who you have tune it as well as your power level still gets good gas mileage and drive's like a stock truck until you get into it.

@@locogtr6475 i think it will easily do that. One of the main associated problems is with the flex pipe within the crossover. After a while it blows out. That is the only problem that i've encountered with mine.

Mine just had built heads arp head studs and a stage 3 cam and I think an M1 Abram’s has better gas mileage than I do😂😂😂

Should’ve done a 6L80e swap, he’s got a 4 speed, which means longer gearing, good for drag racing, not as good for streets tbh

Short little pulls on it probably wont cause too much damage 😅 wouldn't want to be towing or racing.

BTW...your PPV should have a 6L80 6 speed trans in it. Not a 4L60.
The trans your truck would has is dependent on the year of it. My truck for sure has a 4L60 in it not a 6L80.
4L60 on ppv tahoes until 2009 and 3.73 gears 6L80 on 2010 and up
