Somebody at DC thought it was good to ban guns on their action figures. This Joker was announced before DC decided to remove guns but they removed it in the marketing material when it was up for pre order.
@@notg_c2639 Which with how WB has and still sometimes does act with DC, It’s not shocking sadly. But still it’s so dumb especially for characters that are know for guns. Mcfarlane even can use guns so they give them swords and it looks so out of place.
I agree with you on the live action Jokers. Don't get me wrong, Heath's performance was fantastic, but since his debut the whole design of the Joker really has shifted. We're in need of something a little more classic. I feel the same way about Harley Quinn. Big fan of the classic design.
Maybe we could blend them together in some way? I have no idea how that could work, but I feel like if it was done correctly, we'd have the most unsettling yet cool looking Joker ever.
I honestly didn't know which colour variant of the Harley figure I liked more, but the blue/red/blonde variant looked better in this specific design. I would still like if Revoltech would make another Harley Quinn figure, this time with the classic suit. Would make a seriously epic figure. As for the Joker figure... Eh, it looks kinda awkward, similar to the Batman figure.
I think the suicide colors work better for this design. Love her classic colors, but I think that color scheme works better on a more simple and straightforward costume
I’m all about hyperactive visuals so I did get the blue and red Harley since she’s the most vibrant. One important thing to note before you buy one tho is that each Harley has different facial expressions for themselves, like the Blue/Red has a “blowing bubblegum” face but no shocked/angry/hurt face like the other ones do.
I honestly ADORE how expressive these two figures are, especially how you...P O S E them, it brings so much life into these characters. More figures should have this level of expressiveness.
The Batman was a decent show that lived in the shadow of the DCAU stuff (it couldn’t EVER live up to the quality of JL/JLU or their previous Batman shows) for a good part of its run, but for all its flaws that show’s voice acting cast was almost as stacked as all the DCAU shows and Kevin Michael Richardson’s fresh interpretation of the Joker was no exception.
Love how this Joker manages to blend the animated look with Jack Nicholson. Amazing work. and jesus fuck, they made a Harley in her iconic black and red that doesn't look like a full bodysuit or...whatever the Injustice one was. Really reminds me of her design for the Lego Batman movie. Basically, the folks at Revoltech should be handed the master license to DC
I guess I’m a misogynist too, because I actually prefer the Animated version of Harley Quinn. She had more heart and personality to her compared to her more modern incarnations. I didn’t care for these figures when I heard about them, but you really sold me on these figures, Jobby. Great review.

For those of you curious: the director for Jurassic World: Dominion based off the Giganotosaurus--whichseems to be the films dino antagonist--, in the sense that it wanted to see the world burn. We've never seen complex personalities in dinos before--except for Blue--, let alone sadism. But a sadistic dinosaur just might be right up your alley. Just gotta wait until June 10.
We are talking about a dinosaur who's brain, in proportion to it's body is the size of a orange. and yet it's asadistic, nillistic bastard? It's a fucking animal.

I love 2004 the Batman design with the jester dreadlocks and gnarly teeth. But the new The Batman Joker is the first time I actuallynfound this character lovable. Like, he's cute. And he kinda looks like a Killer Clowns from Outer Space clown.
tbf “the animated series” is like 5 seperate animated series and a number of different movies since the DC Animated universe was pretty expansive. think the joker had like 4 different designs in it. and the animated series version is pretty close to the og comic verson. Not saying veriety isnt good, but there is still a general “classic” look for the joker.

How the heck did you get so good at posing? That one shot of Joker slapping Harley absolutely floored me. I could never get a realistic slapping pose or the reeling pose, much less have perfectly lined them up!

I know this is not related to topic, but I kind of thinking joker had a god-damn "gf" in Harley Quinn loving him... Compare to other batman female rogues gallery, excluding Catwoman, Harley had a much tragedy relationship as compared to poison Ivy, Talia Al Ghul etc... Maybe there a bunch other female villains but most prominent is these few.
My favorite Harley is the one who can only keep herself from going into a depressive homicidal rage by pestering and/or getting very non platonic with other super ladies. No particular reason mind you, I just really like the chemistry with Power Girl and Ivy that's all...

I got the OG color Harley, and its easily the best one i have of all the Harleys. Super cute, fun and extremely poseable plus the pocket full of accessories really adds a wide choice of options when posing her. Also that bunny-wave at the end is insulting sexy though too...
You gotta check out the Amazing Yamaguchi symbiotes. Venom is dynamic despite his bulk, and the Carnage is insane. I have them both and they’re among my favorite figures in my collection.

Kinda wish she had the white body paint though. I always thought it complemented the red and black really well.
In fairness she's also in her iconic red and black in her own show, just with the cotton candy hair being excluded from that color scheme.
