It's really cool seeing a new IP developed from scratch that creates transforming figures. The creative freedom that seems to be a direct result of NOT having to adhere to 45 year old designs from an 80's cartoon is truly staggering, I may pick up this figure for myself.

They make what's a guaranteed sale, and once they make enough guaranteed sales they'll make characters that might not sell as much and then sometimes cancel the line because those characters didn't sell and then make the characters that sell again in a new line
I love that Toys Alliance went from those licensed Transformers figures to their own property, AND they nailed it. It's sad we never got a MAS Soundwave ... but getting some kick ass transformable W40K viking robot stuff more than makes up for it.

A phenomenal figure and great review. A word of warning on Frost Light. The top of the cab was too tight on mine. Opening it up in truck mode for the first time put stress on the hinge. Close it during transformation and don’t ever open it again. This piece is very important. If it breaks you won’t be able to connect the top half to the bottom in robot mode. Combiner mode: the plastic part in the shoulder ratchet that flex. They aren’t strong enough to hold a pose well with the wolf hanging on it. Let alone with the giant axe. There is a reason the combined promo images never show it doing a dynamic pose with the axe.

After my Thunder Erebus Snapped in half a week out the box with no repair, replacement or refund available I could use something else to decorate my shelves! - Just saw the combiner at the end... This makes me want another third party company to take the original Transformers designs and remake them in a style that works just as well as this figure. Imagine a G1 inspired Optimus Prime or Megatron that isn’t perfectly accurate, yet is still recognizable, but has near perfect robot and vehicle modes like Frost Light does
@@Da_ComputerMonster exactly! So kind of like how the IDW comics or the Cybertron games kind of redesign all the characters, but all the designs look G1 inspired. They need to completely scrap cartoon accuracy and do a total redesign so each mode if as perfect yet functional as possible
I love this aesthetic of this figure. Like you said, blocky but incredibly detailed mechanically! So glad that the Bumblebee movie went down this road, hope they continue it in the next movie!
If you like integrating accessories as a necessary part of transformation, check out the TFC Toys Tyrant (totally not Megatron, honest!). I think one of my favorite things about that figure is that it not only looks like a GI Joe/Transformers crossover figure, but it has an alternative faceplate to make him look like Cobra Commander. He is a tad pricey, though.
he is actually based on that crossover, there is a comic about it but i don't remember the name tho but yeah its based on its design and if im not mistaken they already have made Optimus as well and three different versions of him(im not really into GI Joe so forgive me) 1- Is his base colour scheme (the red and blue) 2- ^the same vehicle but its following the GI Joe colour scheme(Green Camo) 3- ^The same colours but instead carries a nuclear Warhead :')
Daaamn man, the whole line seems an amazing project. Creating new characters that can actually be themselves instead of naming them different. Don't get me wrong, 3rd party figures are great, but there is also the itch for something like this: original IPs. Also beast box, those are great.

I love seeing clever transformations. When the middle of the torso was revealed to be the cab, I was sold. I had no idea how the truck was going to come about, and yet, it was so simple. I might pick this guy up and check out there other stuff too.
I used to have transformers as a kid, but eventually lost interest in them, seeing as i only ever got my hands on deluxe class transformers. But this line looks so incredible that i'd gladly partake in it.

As someone who has a family of Nordic(I'm Nordic) and with a entire bloodline of Vikings...I love this and have any of the toys from that toy line and I recommend looking at the others if you can! Especially if you're into viking esc stuff or anything of the sort!
