Whether it is detoxing or not I love the fact that it relaxed you when you seemed really stressed.

This was a really cute video and enjoyed the heck out of it. I already bought the blanket but now I’m doing more research. I used to do hot yoga and I loved the heat. I feel this will be a relaxing yet effective way to detox after a workout. Thank you for your review. 💜

I'd be curious to see older adults who have some chronic pain issues use this -- and see what results they get. Thanks for the review!

I am only 21, but I have fibromyalgia, sciatica, and other chronic pain conditions. I have had my higher dose blanket for about a year, but it is really helpful for my pain. My pain responds well to heat so sometimes I will just stay in the blanket on a really really low setting and just relax

@@sammgriffith5992I have chronic pain as well so finally decided it was worth a try. Excited to see if it helps. My biggest worry is being consistent as sometimes just getting out of bed is an accomplishment.

Aanything that makes you sweat has similar effects to saunas,
like if you wear heavy Jackets and cover yourself in a blanket in the summer it will have a similar effect,
it has actually been shown that doing a workout in extreme temperatures (hot or cold) improves the benefits you get from the workout.
Don't forget to drink a lot of water though

The acne is from the sweat... And if you lost any weight, you sweated out water, you lost water weight, you didnt burn fat and your liver is likely working great so there is never a need to do any "detox"

@@D0J0Master when you sweat you detox from toxins. Which is why for example (and you’ll see this from others in the comments) doctors will recommend using this when detoxing from Lyme and other diseases. I’d love to do the research for you but unfortunately I’m not interested in being an educator. But feel free to site your sources and research on the comment you made “there is never a need to any “detox” especially in relation to what I’ve mentioned.

  • @simonsaysism

    hey kids, remember:
    - your body has multiple systems for getting rid of toxins and they're all automatic, you don't need to help the process except by living a healthy and balanced lifestyle
    - none of those detox systems involve the skin, so if you're breaking out, it's just clogged pores from sweat
    - the only scientific research I can find on how Infrared affects the body is that it can cause thermal burns, and contribute to faster skin aging
    - sweating is NOT a replacement for exercise, you have to use your muscles to stay healthy
    - if heat relaxes your body, you don't need a $500 blanket to achieve that

Eh, there’s more nuance to it than that. The world is the most polluted it’s ever been. There are 80,000+ artificial Frankenstein chemicals released in the environment and it all pollutes our air, water, and food. Based on a few studies and clinicians’ experience, no one is exempt from excess toxicity of these chemicals. Yes our body is great at detoxifying, but 1) people usually eat crappy processed foods that don’t provide life-supporting nutrients for their organ systems 2) even if they did eat well, the sheer amount of toxicity in our world is causing our body distress whether we feel it or not.
Therefore detoxifying with things like infrared blankets (sweating is a fantastic detoxification mechanism) is an amazing way to combat our current environment. I wish it were as easy as just eating well (that’s already difficult enough for most) but deep detoxification to reduce the overload our bodies face is one of the most underrated things to do for your health. No I don’t have double blind placebo whatever the hell studies to prove nor do I care for them, but I have synthesized this information from the following books/sources:
Our Toxic World, A Wake Up Call by Doris Rapp
Sauna Therapy by Dr Lawrence Wilson
10 Americans Study by EWG (on UA-cam)
And the fact that chronic disease is currently exploding exponentially. Toxins definitely have a role to play in that.

"Reasons you may need to detox
    1. You have no kidneys
    2. You have no liver
    3. You don't know how to exhale
    4. You haven't pooped IN WEEKS," Abbey Sharp, Registered Dietician and UA-camr.
Can we please put this "detox" BS to bed already?!

Your body typically stores stores toxins in the fat as well specially heavy metals that are not easily detoxed and if you have had a ton of vaccines so please stop being ignorant
