Tuners don't tune anything and everything they have preferred engine's and ECUs they tune as I've noticed a lot of tuners only specilize in one type of ECU I've never seen a tuner do every type of ECU including stock

From the very beginning it sounded like you have a one rod with excessive clearance, The excessive clearance is more than likely from one of four things the first is the rod was incorrectly sized during manufacture/machining and is why I like to take the time to blueprint /mock-up engines completely when building them. The second is the result of a screwup by the machine shop and one of the rod journals on the crank was incorrectly ground and or polished resulting in either a slightly undersized rod journal or out less likely an out of round rod journal, Option three is the crankshaft is not true this can result from previous engine damage resulting in a tweaked crankshaft, or a crankshaft that was dropped or was not stored in the vertical position when out of the engine. I have witnessed a crankshaft that was stored on its side for a little over 24 hours become slightly distorted, additionally I have also scene a crankshaft that was out of true from being stored on its side return to being true after it was stored on end (vertically) for a week or so. The fourth option is the upper rod bearing was damaged/distorted during assembly. This is normally caused when a piston is being tapped down into the cylinder and the rod hit the crankshaft at a bad angle or the upper bearing shell popped out of the rod slightly and became distorted either from the rod/bearings being roughly tapped home. In any event one or more bearings has developed excessive clearance. Lastly when dynoing a vehicle and the tuner says I thinks I hear engine noise chances are he/she hears a noise.
You should put lights around the compound that change colors. Flip the switch to red when you are ripping around and green for when you’re not. Will help prevent accidents
After the FD season is over, I think the LZ team needs to go on a dang vacation and relax for at least a week. You guys have been working so hard for all of us and y'all deserve some time to relax!

can we just talk about this guys arm strenght placing the window with the naps on the side, FROM the side!? he has some damn confidence placing those S15 windows like that XD
sounds like shim clearance honestly, the clearance isnt the big issue, its making sure all shims across exhaust and intake side are the same height (ex. exhaust guide and shim need to match so that way the rocker isn't sitting sideways, make sure they're all the same across exhaust side, and then do the same for the intake within oem tolerance, HOT SHIMS makes kits for this)

a tip when looking at cut open oil filters or any cut filter squeeze it in a vice and get rid of the oil etc and you can see so much better how much metal is in there.
Did you see the exhaust gasket looks like it's been leaking. That can make that ticking sound. Plus the idle rattle is the VCT gear they are quite prone to rattling especially if high lift cams are involved.

First gasoline powered "turbo" vehicle i ever drove was a s15 with not heaps of power by today's standards. But was soo responsive and for someone who's never driven a gasoline powered car with a turbo. I can only imagine how nice this will be to drive 👌💪🔥

Tuner says Rod knock and completely ignores him....... then drifts it and destroy/damage the crank and new parts that have been installed. Could've a safe sr20 really easily by just rebuilding the bottom end in the beginning

Disconnect the TPS sensor while checking base timing it kills the VTC advance and keeps its stable while you set base timing
