Hollow Knight DungDefender% Speedrun Race w/ NickNog (Post Run Commentary)

Here is the post run commentary version of NickNog and I's speedrun race we did! We are not professional speedrunners by any means but I hope you can all still enjoy the commentary!
DungDefender% is a Dung Defender speedrun we invented (as far as we're aware). The run starts when your file starts and the run ends when you collect the Defenders Crest. If I could remake the rules for a professional run I would obviously have it start at the normal Hollow Knight run start time.

12:49 I’m not, like.., amazing at it but I’ve had a lot of practice and something that helps me when I’m speedrunning is to practice counting the hits I need to kill something or where on a wall I need to dash. Focusing on small details like that (like needing 5 hits to kill a flying brava guy) help me practice.

I know you can skip the False Knight fight but you need to defeat him to get the city crest. And as far as I'm aware you need the city crest to access City of Tears unless I missed something.

@@CinmnLol Shade skip and tram pass both allow you to enter resting grounds, and there’s a lift in that area that goes down to the eastern section of the city.
