Lars- My grandfather, Olai Berge, came to the US from Strandebarm in the early 1900s.

Strandebarm - yes, I have visited Strandebarm. Nice landscape - high mountains and deep fjords. Your familyname sounds more swedish.

Thanks for the kind words. Knowledge is power. The more we know about our scooters, the better of we are.

@buckeyemike20 Those are pneumatic lifts built and sold by Handy Industries in Iowa. We've been very satisfied with them.

This scooter looks exactly like LML vespa 150cc (available in India from 1980s until early 2000s... thats when gearless scooters captured the market as govt banned 2 stroke manufacturing. I still have a LML vespa Nv 150 , 1989 model)

It is an LML vespa rebranded for export by LML to the United States.

I own two scooters! 2010 Genuine (PGO) Blur ss220I and a 2013 Kymco Downtown 300i. Both of these scooters received “Scooter of the Year” standing. They are both made in Taiwan & run well. If you are from the U.S. you can call their Headquarters and ask them questions. Genuine has excellent customer service; ask for Dean! (I would personally not purchase any Scooter from China; they are NOT made up to par, in my opinion. That’s how they sell them so cheap. It's called junk) Go Genuine & Kymco !!

    Cool Bob!
Andrew has lent me his red Stella while he's in England for the next year-- which is awesome. And the oil is leaking, so I just went to start working on that but was immediately stymied by a lack of understanding how to get the damn cowl off. (Where's the stinkin' spring clip?) After a quick Google, here you are; now I know. I was just gonna call you at the shop but this is a great surprise!
By the way, I'll be seeing you soon anyway to pick out the new helmet that Jules got me for my birthday! Hope to see you at The Ward soon-

The sparkplug was hanging out of the cylinder head? Tighten it back up and see if it will fire.
