The “Role players will talk about everything for like five minutes” made me laugh. But yes, I think an option to slow down time in multiplayer (maybe if just by .75 or .5) would be perfect! Maybe not only limited to multiplayer, in case you want to play single player with different timescales.
I second this. Having the option to slow down time for both MP and SP is a great idea. Sometimes I feel like time passes too fast in SP and I can imagine that would be worse in MP.
If day/night cycle timescale becomes a changeable thing then I think how it effects everyone else (the player wolf's hunger/sleep, animal behaviors, etc) should also change with it.
Wow, I am so excited for multiplayer. It's gonna be incredible! I know on certain roleplays, it's nice to have it at specific times of day. Sometimes, in 2.7, a roleplay session can be well over an hour with the time of day remaining the same. In my opinion, I don't think slowing the time would be a good option, but rather allowing the host to have the choice to either 'lock' the time of day to whenever they want, or allow free flowing time(like in single player).
wolfy wolf This! Maybe an option where time doesn’t move unless the host sleeps and advances time? (that way they can also effectively set the time to whatever they want)
I’ve said this more times then I can count but this is so beautiful and the best animal simulator I’ve ever found and I’ve looked in a lot of places 2.7 I thought it was so beautiful and accurate and then wq 3 was announced and I was so excited!!! Honestly I love 2.7 so much and I’m so happy I found this game all that time ago because when I first played younger me just fell in love with everything about 2.7 and I can’t wait to see where wq3 will go in the future!,! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Yeah i was thinking it would be intresting to be able to attack other players for a pack ranking maybe, but that also could get annoying if someone were to do it and the other player not want attacked
This game is looking prettier every-time I catch up with the devs and their work, this video made me giggle, you guys are having so much fun making this game together and a healthy team makes the best games! I can’t believe where you guys have come, starting from Amethyst Mountain Deluxe to now, just wow 💕
I think slowing down time in MP would be very helpful. Wolves need to sleep a lot, and the faster times passes the more frequently they'll need sleep. This could cause problems in MP, as a player would have to sit for a long time for their wolf to rest before joining in the fun. Or would have to sit and get everyone organized to all sleep at once (in which case, it just takes one person being a dork to mess the whole thing up). This would still be a factor if time was slowed, but would at least be less frequent of a problem
I think being able to slow down time on multiplayer would be a great addition! Great job with the game so far! I can tell you all are working really hard and deserve a huge break after the game is finished (or at least mostly)! I hope everyone stays safe and healthy in these times! Stay strong and WolfQuest on!
Aaah i'm so excited! You guys are doing so great, you should be so proud! You've made an amazing game and I can't wait to see how all of it turns out!! The realism is astounding, the commitment you guys have is honestly amazing :')
Im so excited and watching this made me realize how hard it truly must be to get every detail right and be sure how players interact with each others wolves (like the collision glitch u guys showed) but it still looks amazing
You and the team are working so hard on this and it's turning out wonderfully. The new features sound incredible! I'm so exited for it but I'll wait for as long as necessary.
It would be interesting to be able to choose a pack howl, perhaps from a few pitch variations on the same kind of call. That jump over the other wolf was very cute :)
Btw, I've got a question. Will other animals ever be playable sometime in the future of the game? I think I remember hearing there was once a game mode about elk vs. wolves planned, but eventually got scrapped. I think it'd be a really fun idea to include a game mode where nearly all animals could be playable. I for one would love to fight off a pack of wolves as a powerful moose! It could be like a Predator Vs. Prey game mode, or maybe just a sandbox mode where you can run around as all the animals, even ones like hares and golden eagles.

One thing that i really hope the WolfQuest team adds (if not already in the game) is the carnivore AI being able to hunt as well. For example: Cougars being able to hunt mule deer or elk. It would add to the amazing nature immersion that they have already set.
Wow! You guys are making so much awesome progress with this! You should be very proud!! I don’t play multiplayer but from watching some on UA-cam, I know people can get very engrossed in their role plays and will take their time to write good sentences. I think an option for maybe slowing time for roleplay servers would be handy just so it’s not like what your example was about “Let’s eat Breakfast”, and by the time you finally write that it’s afternoon or something. But for maybe just normal servers it would be good just to have normal time. I think it might throw some players off who are so used to single player time, but I’m sure they would get used to it. I can’t wait to see what this will all be like in the end, but take your time! Also I just love how you added those new wolf pack howls in the distance. It gives so much more life to the game! Or base it off the difficulty of the set game. On easy time should go slow for example giving the players a carefree game experience as easy describes.
When this starts working, My friend group and I plan to make up formation types when group hunting 😊 along with formations during the puppy transport, rival wolves attacking and much more.
That reminds me of this book called Wolves of the Beyond and in the book, the packs would make formations like that when hunting and traveling! Sorry, random, but I think that sounds very fun and helpful during pup quests. :D
I think an option to slow down time would be really helpful, because of course if you're typing that takes away a lot of time - think it'd b a useful option, but I'd be interested in how you would set this up as if two people had different wants on time would each 'server' for multiplayer have different time scales from the creator/moderator? This is looking great though, can't wait for multiplayer and pups!!
An option to choose spawn area: spawn any random area (or pre-set game spawnpoints) on the northeast, southeast, northwest and southwest parts of the map. There can be a system to avoid players to spawn on spawnpoint with players near, so we won't have spawnkilling or players spawning inside other players. That would be great to give us more freedom on where we want to start, but also avoiding annoying bugs.
We are thinking about more spawn points with these bigger maps. In PvP, spawn points would likely be determined by which pack you are in but we will think more about that when we are working on it.

I have an idea for Wolf Quest 3! I’m not sure you have this yet but I believe a good touch would be if you wolf would become slower in the snow. For example, when there’s a blizzard and the snow reaches to your wolf’s shoulders or something like that it would effect the running speed. This would make hunting more challenging because your wolf would get stuck in the pounds of snow.
I think I’m first! Oh my god! U haven’t watched the whole video yet but I already know it’s going to be awesome! The game itself is so amazing and I love the way you put so much effort in it and how it looks so realistic. Thank you for this masterpiece, Wolf Quest!🤭🥺
I really want the majority of the players to play on realism dedicated servers instead of hosting their own little roleplay servers, it would make me really happy. Nothing against roleplayers, but I personally find it boring, at least the ones I find on Wolf Quest 2.7. Said that, I would like to see people creating their own server communities of realistic servers with chat disabled, where the players can interpret their wolves with realism, just like the point of the game: "Live the life of a wild wolf". No chat, no voice, just you and the wild Yellowstone, ready to be explored. Someone will say that this is roleplay, but honestly, roleplay or not, that's exactly what I want to play in multiplayer. An immersive experience that is what the game should be.
The game hosts can decide what type of gameplay they want. We will add some things to help hosts let people know about the game and so players can join the kind of games that interest them most. No chat is a great way to play immersively using the emotes.
That is exactly what I said to myself. I'd also enjoy a server with no text chat and the story of the game is told by you and the other player wolves playing throughout the map along with nature. I'll probably end up creating a realistic server if not many other people do. For many years I wanted to play a realistic animal game of some sort so this is what I'm most excited for.
My PC fries when I try playing WQ 3 So I will just play 2.7 instead. Mine is core i3 so there's no way I'd be able to fully enjoy this masterpiece of a game. Thank you guys for developing such a beautiful game, even If I can't play I admire you all for the hard work and how much you care about educating ppl about wolves and about your public!

@@WolfQuestGame oh that just made my day. this game is great. Perfect for every kind of public.
My PC fries when I try playing WQ 3
So I will just play 2.7 instead.
Mine is core i3 so there's no way I'd be able to fully enjoy this masterpiece of a game.
Thank you guys for developing such a beautiful game, even If I can't play I admire you all for the hard work and how much you care about educating ppl about wolves and about your public!
