I think it was a troll from Gamefreak. In usum, it took 3 minutes to reset for a shiny starter. Now we can save LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO IT, AND IT'S SHINY LOCKED!

Whenever I lose my starter in nuzlockes I just reset the entire thing bcs I'm too attached to them so seeing you had to release your starter hurt me

I don’t recommend hacking the game to get starter/legendaries un-shiny locked cause it makes people question if u changed the shiny odds. Just an observation from someone who came across ur videos via the algorithm

Funny story about shiny zigzagoon. One time my sister was shiny hunting zigzagoon in sword. She had battled over 700 (non-consecutivily) and had a chain of over 25, but never found one. Switching gears, she also had pokemon ruby on her old tablet. And while we were grinding up trapinch to use arena trap ability on latios (which we actually encountered while grinding) we found a SHINY ZIGZAGOON. I was playing for her, and I screamed when I found it. I took a screenshot, and used an ultra ball on it while on speedup mode. I was shaking from the adrenaline, and we agreed on the name Citurs. It is now a linnone, and that's when I realized it looked like that character from avatar for the first time, and we taught it surf for the memes.

Yeah I decided to do this myself not long after SS came out. Started a new game, started grinding right after getting my starter. After about 20 hours(over several days) I got bored and decided to play something else.
Every now and then since I will sit down and grind for an hour or three. Still never got that first shiny, the save has about 95 hours played so far.
One day you'll finish, I believe😎

You can actually reset your game for a bit and get a female starter and get a ditto later on in the run
And breed for a while with ditto and your starter and you can get a shiny starter legit. Love ur vids

I find it interesting that almost all of your wild full odds encounter shinies have the star sparkle when wild encounter shinies typically have the diamond sparkles. Could it be an error with the emulator you're running? Or are these not full odds after all

yea you can install the mod through a pc idk how to fully do it but just a warning play offline because people have been known for getting banned on nintendo for it
