Hi everyone! In this video I'll be attempting a Pokémon Ultra Sun hardcore nuzlocke using only shiny Pokémon!
My rules:
- If a pokémon faints, it cannot be used anymore and must be boxed for the entire run.
- Set mode must be turned on.
- No in-battle items, such as potions or revives, are allowed. Held items are okay.
- I can only catch the first shiny encounter per route.
- No leveling past the following Kahunas (or E4’s) ace pokémon.
- XP share is turned off
- No Z-moves allowed

Rose, also id just like to say, after i heard u were doing a shiny locke i decided i would find atleast 1 shiny in ultra sun, it took me 30 seconds, a shiny rufflet from sos chaining

I tried to do a shinylocke in ORAS. i spent 2 months trying to get a shiny mudkip before i gave up. I admire your commitment.

Shinylocke are hard I have almost beat one on oras just finishing it need 1 more shiny I've done all gyms just need the elite team my team is Shiny sceptile, shiny gardevoir, shiny manectric, shiny sylveon, shiny levanny and I'm hunting for shiny skrelp

Damn, Alola has some amazing shinies. Your team ended up looking so good, Midnight Lycanroc is one of my favourite shinies because Rockruff was the first ever shiny I hunted for (I sadly never evolved it, I lost my Moon cartridge ages ago)

Having personally endured the hell that is soft resetting in SuMo for Rowlet (85 hours) and Popplio (202 hours, WISH I was joking 🤢) then Litten (55 hours) in USUM, I can't give you enough props for sticking out that first hunt, definitely the worst part of the run for sure. Immediately hit that sub button, great bloody job my dude 👍

This video was awesome. I once tried this challenge as well, but lost my sanity before getting the starter as I kept having to see the starter cutscene, and I gave up. So seeing you complete this was really cool.

this was such a good run!! i have tried my first nuzlocke in pokemon platinum recently(not on yt just for fun yeh..) and i just lost my starter .... to a friggin skuntank.. im so depressed rn rip. cheers to how good u can handle these situations and still keep going while ur best pokes die.. i found it way to hard and gave up;-;

This run makes me excessively happy because you use both my favorite pokemon and Shiny, Vikavolt. On the day I got my copy of Sun, I got two shinies within an hour, the second of which was Grubbin. Loved the entire line ever since.

Not only grind-walking for shinnies but doing so in the Ultra Gen 7 games, the hardest games in the series to nuzlocke.

It’s kinda crazy to see how far your video quality has advanced over the span of a single month. And then again each month it keeps improving. Most UA-camrs I’ve watched took months to over a year to improve that much in their quality and editing.

This was fun! The sped-up footage gave me a bit of a head rush during the Elite 4 fights though. Maybe consider adjusting the speed a bit when you edit? Usually, it's more fun when we can see what's going on on the screen as well as hear your narration. Anyway, please keep it up!

I know you couldn’t really help it in this run, but I HIGHLY recommend using Vaporeon against Ultra Necrozma? Why? Because it can know HAZE! Haze will immediately get rid of the omniboost, and Vaporeon is bulky enough to tank a hit.

Shiny litten is my favorite shiny of those starters. And litten is one of my favorite starters to begin with
It looks so cool, and the great thing about these nuzlockes is that you really grow to love the pokémon you’re using! Incineroar (especially when shiny) is now one of my favorite starters as well!
oh man toucanon ist basicly my favoritie regional bird. was shiny hunting it and also have a perfectly competitive bred one. i really just love it. The shiny is so vibrant and the concept is just so neat. (commenting right when it gets caught so i hope nothin bad happenbs to it)

I love how PokeTubers say "so I get another shiny Pokemon-" when we all know it took them 1 week plus to get it. Actually I've never gotten a shiny Buneary in Ultra Sun and I've been off and on SOS hunting for almost a year, but it took me three weeks to get a shiny Misdreavous and longer than that for a shiny Evee.

It definitely took a while to do lmao! I played this one on an emulator which I screen recorded, but use an elgato screen capture for switch games although it turned out not to be too reliable…
