    It really is a cool inverter being able to take a load like it does and the biilt in breakers and all those features are great. Im wanting to order one for my shop sometime in the near future

      @rodneyhunt if you were to wire 3 in parallel, would you run each hot leg to a different 30 or 40a breaker or would you run them all to busbars and then just one set of wires to the load panel breaker 🤔

    • @tjmooney4181
      @tjmooney4181 8 місяців тому +1

      @rodneyhunt after reading my question I realized it wouldn't be good to run the hot legs to a busbar without breakers haha sorry I'm still trying to figure out the most efficient way to wire them if stacking more than 2 in parallel

    • @rodneyhunt

      I will use breakers like the growatt setup I have. Since I have a box setup already and it will make it easier to service if needed with multiple breakers.

    Compared to what I was pulling in on my old growatt inverter from my solar panels using the exact same panels and wiring I'm actually pulling in more wattage than before, with the 6000 XP. The only change in the panels is instead of two separate strings of seven I have all 14 in series (I bought low voltage panels because the inverter I had only had a 180 volt max MPPT.) Eww 😬 lol. So far loving the unit

    • @rodneyhunt
      @rodneyhunt  8 місяців тому +1

      I still use some grid power for now when needed. I do have a generator to charge batteries back with the chargeverter during emergencies. But since I have the grid I use it when necessary.

    Rodney i see alot of people asking questiins thought you could elaborate.
    #1 how many panels you have on each mppt ? Total voc on each alot of people are thinking 480voc ÷2=240voc per input . (Or ) 480 voc per mppt 960 voc total ?
    #2 grounding is it needed ( ground rod)

    • @rodneyhunt
      @rodneyhunt  7 місяців тому

      480 is the max per mppt but I think up to 385 is the max recommended. So the mppt works at it’s best. Yes system needs to be grounded when fully installed by following the manual. Mine is not since I am moving and testing right now. Will be grounded during full installation when other inverters arrive

    • @rodneyhunt

    Rodney - will one of these units be able to supply fulltime power to a 50 Amp RV service (OFF GRID)? We don't plan on using air conditioning in our RV but we do have residential refrigerator/freezer, washer/dryer combo and a 120v/propane water heater onboard. If we needed to purchase two - I would like to know beforehand. Thanks and Hope this finds you having a Great Day!

    • @rodneyhunt
      @rodneyhunt  5 місяців тому +1

      The unit is only rated for 6,000 watts. So depending on your loads. If using a full 50 amps then you need two. So it depends on

      @@rodneyhunt having the discussion with my wife. If two are necessary - then that will be the route to go. I prefer the ability to have the 50Amp+ potential as though we were utilizing a 100 amp panel (residential). Thank you for your response and video tutorials!

  • @cgutowski471

    Another great video Rodney. Trying to understand the math. In the last test, the inverter was putting out 1900w per leg (3800 total to car 16a @240v). Then you added 29amps at 120V which is 3480. Total of 5380w on the one leg?

    • @rodneyhunt
      @rodneyhunt  8 місяців тому

      If I remember correctly you are talking about the 1900 watts from car and 3600 from surge. I think I calculated from 30 amps when it kicked out. So 5500 watts. Not sure what I said but the number was lower on the leg when it kicked out that last time with the car load than when no load on the other leg. If that is not what I said I have been recording a lot of videos and might just be wrong with the math or remembering lol

      Not my house lol. We run tons of things simultaneously so we need a minimum of 15k output like my 3 growatts. That is why I will have 3 of these to run my house. Which will bump me up to 18k output.
