12 Mini for me. I don't like big phones...and there aren't many...or any manufacturers out there making high end small form factor phones. I'm going to get a 13 Mini later in the year when the prices come down and hold onto that for the near future. The battery life of the 12 Mini is not an issue for me.
Will the 13 mini still be sold new at apple for $599 and the 12 mini at $499?

Bought the 11 on Nick’s recommendation ‘happy new year’ video. No worries in the UK with 4G. Yes, the OLED display is very nice. 6.1 inch screen on the 11, however. All the best.
I would pick the 11 simply because of the bigger screen and battery life. I feel like LTE is fast enough in my area and the rounded corners are easier to hold

If you’re only thinking about 5G, unless you’re American, you better take 11 over 12 Mini because only US iPhones have mmWave 5G which is ultra fast. Sub-6GHz 5G is barely any better than 4G.
But I’d still take 12 Mini over 11 because I also factoring in other features

To me the iPhone 12 mini is the winner here. Yes the battery life could be better, but with a battery case or a magsafe battery pack, it fixes the problem. Having 5g, an oled screen, more support, a better processor, better camera and a compact size make the 12 mini a better long term choice.
I’ve had my iPhone 11 mint green for 6 months I simply love it 🥰 I have zero regrets with my iPhone 📱

I chose 12 mini. The display and form factor is just perfect for me. I don’t mind charging the phone twice a day as it charges real quick with the fast charger.
How's the battery health now? Someone said that we shouldn't use 20w charger for 12 mini as it drains the bh. Do you use it?
@@Toy_In_Tub I’m using it over a year now with the 20W charger. It is at 88%. I often use my phone while it is charging so it might be taking a toll on the thermals! Charging using a 5W brick takes ages.. And one can always replace the battery after a certain point.
For a moderate user the battery life is just fine.

@@Toy_In_Tub Not really, I get around 5Hrs to 6Hrs average screen on time. I predominantly use YT,Instagram and whatsapp and outlook. I don’t play games and I consume media on my iPad. So for the social apps and YT it is sufficient.

The 12 mini is much better in most aspects, but battery life is by far the most important thing to me, which is why I’d pick the 11 in this case

Plus, 12 mini’s battery will degrade faster than 11.

between the 11 and regular sized 12 then i'd go for the 12 but if it's the 12 mini and the 11 then i'd go for the 11 instead, 5g isn't really a necessity for me (even if that's the reason i was considering the regular 12) and the screen size is perfect, not too small and not too big and if you want to save money then in most places the 11 is significantly cheaper than the 12 (because it's nearly the same price as the 13 here).

I’ll take the 12 mini any day, it’s a better phone overall, I like how small it is, It’s light, easy to grip. IDC how small the screen is, as long as I can see the texts it’s fine, and as for the battery life, well I can just bring my charger or slap it on a power bank. It also has longer apple support.

But does the cell reception come down to 4G vs 5G or Qualcomm vs Intel modems? Although 5G is nice, plenty of places still don’t have access to reliable 5G, and I don’t think 4G is going anywhere anytime soon
I had 12 Mini for 3 days. It was unusable because of the poor battery that didn't get me through single day. Returned it and picked 13 Mini instead and I couldn't be happier.
How much better is the battery on the 13 mini and did you turn off 5g on 12 mini and used it with dark mode on?
I want to buy one of these but I wonder if I could save some money and go with 12 mini, and then optimize it to last longer
Yes, i turned off 5G , tuned the brightness and I was pretty much on one place the whole day. I had dark mode on. With moderate usage, I had to turn on power saving mode at 2pm because it dropped dramatically. It got me through the day with few percents left but that is not the kind of experience I would want from phone this expensive. I have also Z Flip 3 and it’s battery is known to be terrible. It’s still miles better than the 12 Mini
Even with the worse battery life I’d pick the 12mini, the 11 is too thick.
That's how I felt when I held the 11 too. I know the 12 and 13 are a bit thinner, but I haven't had the chance to hold them in my hand yet.

12 mini is superior to the 11. While yes, LTE is fine by itself, 5G is a nice improvement. Also, the iPhone 12 has an OLED screen unlike the less premium 11s LCD. Furthermore, the 12 minis size is perfect and i much prefer the squares edges like my old SE 2016.
I would say 11 because of battery and larger screen. I can get through most of the day without charging once a day.
I got my 12 mini in October 2021 and I do not regret one year later. Yes I could’ve gotten the 13 mini but due the the price and color (I wanted the purple), I chose the 12 mini. I love small phones because I have small hands and i love how comfortable it feels. The battery issues do not bother me, I have a charging case and it works for me. I will be sticking with this phone for a few more years
What is your battery health and screen time?
@@lordoftheplugs785 I usually can get 4-5 hours of screen time. Now I do work during the day so by the time I come home, I put the phone to charge. I know that isn’t a lot for some people but it works for me. My battery health is now at 89%. Not great but also not bad

I went for the 11 without hesitation for the battery life only. I don’t think missing 5G will be a huge problem for at least the next 3 to 5 years, still gonna get ios updates for a few years, the design is still incredible today… the only thing i would regret is the OLED screen. I almost went for a XS because of it, but tbh the ips display on this device still looks great !

IMO. If I get the middle-sized phone, I’d go for 11, or 13 standard, but If I choose a mini iPhone, I’d go for iPhone 13 mini at this point. There’s no point of getting the 12 mini today if there’s a better 13 mini, a way better battery life (atleast on phonebuff’s battery test) and much improved performance compared to 12 mini. So between the two, I’d definitely choose the iPhone 11, I can sacrifice 1 more iOS update and 5G and high pixel for better experience.
Since both iphones have 12 mega pixels, is one really better than the other OR does one have better screen resolution? Like, would they look the same printed out?

I know that size matters for some folks but that oled display on 12 mini is totally worth; too bad the battery life is on the short side. As someone pointed, getting the 11 now (great bargain) and wait for the 13 mini to go down in price might be the wisest choice right now.
Take 11 pro even better bargain and it is not big with 12 mini
@@Flattithefish A14 in 12 Mini is a pretty significant jump from A13 in iPhone 11 series, 12 Mini is far more worth it if we are talking about future proofing. Also 5G, MagSafe, night-mode in all cameras, Dolby Vision, same OLED as 13s, etc.
But if you prefer bigger screen for same price, sure get 11 Pro instead
IMO, if I have to get a mini Phone, I’d choose 13 mini instead of 12 mini. There’s no point of getting the 12 mini when there’s 13 mini which cost extra few dollars but worth that extra.

I had the xr last week Monday it sadly got water damage and I'll probably get the se 2 or 3 or something few days left if my brother doesn't have enough money still I have to wait 2 more weeks
For me the choice is easy, go with the iPhone 11. Bigger display, bigger battery, I prefer the rounded corners and the iPhone 12 series had call quality issues. The regular 12 I had was absolute garbage on phone call clarity perhaps the worst I've ever owned of any phone. The LCD screen to me isn't a huge deal because Apple makes quality displays. In my opinion, the iPhone 11 is the best more budget iPhone right now. In 2022, I just feel like the smaller screen and just passable battery life is outdated already.
If I had to choose I’d go with the 12 mini

If you're able to buy 14 then wait for it, all the way, just remember there won't be a mini in iphone 14 series (if size matters to you)
Just turn the 5g off in the settings screen and you will find that the battery wont drain as fast. Usage also comes into play too.
I have a iPhone 13 Pro and a Galaxy Fold. I use the Galaxy Fold as a 3ds!

iPhone 12 mini & IPhone 12 series has OLED screen while Iphone 11. OLED panels are better because they use less pixels. They also support Dark Mode which saves the battery & battery health. Given the choice between 11 & 12 I would go for IPhone 12 .

Do not get the 12 pro if you are going to get a pro, save for 13 pro as it has better camera and 120 hz display

im getting 4.5-5 hours of sot with my 12 mini. ive been using it for more than a year and the battery health is 88%. however, the battery health is not accurate imo.

Yes, probably a 100 dollar price drop for both phones. At that point though, if you're looking at the mini's, you may as well go with the 13 mini as it has all the advantages of the 12 mini with a better battery, and higher storage capacity.

Everyone is raving about the iPhone 11 battery life but it deteriorates like avocado guys, mine is barely 2 years old and down to 78% and I'm over charging it multiple times a day and looking to go back to my 5s because I never had those issues with that phone.

I love my 12 mini but I’m planning to get the 14 pro with trade in, love the size but the low storage and battery isn’t sufficient for my needs. The phone runs hotter easier and I’ve had slow downs, again I love the novelty but it’s better for someone like my mom who has small hands and doesn’t use the phone as much.

Personally I wouldn't buy either of these right now. The 11 is probably the one I'd go with if it wasn't overpriced, just for the screen size and battery alone. That 12 mini battery is really not the greatest. 13 mini would be more appealing if you can spend a bit more money. The battery lasts longer and the storage is higher.
