Ive seen him Live in Las Vegas, and i was certainly not bought :) This guy performed more insane magic than was shown here right in front of me. Its a trick, an illusion, not camera tricks. Camera tricks dont win you the magician of the year so many times in a row. Go to Las Vegas dude.
You do know that he does hundreds of Las Vegas shows where he does this shit live. This looks like a legit trick to me. It's probably two gimmick cigarettes. One that he puts under the table and one that is always on top. Everything he does isn't CGI/Actors. He's actually a good magician.
@lee gecsey The best explanation for this is to take a piece of silly putty, hold it up and let it stretch out. This is like glass except a million times faster. If you could take a cross section of an old window, say 100 years or more, you would see the bottom is slightly wider than the top. It slowly flows down to create a teardrop shape. It shatters because too much force has been applied to it. Like with silly putty again, if you pull it hard enough, it snaps.
1:37 He isn't checking for a "soft spot" he is setting up the second cigarette under the table. Remember, he asks the guy WHERE to put the cigarette through. he makes it appear like it is going through, when in reality he is sticking the second cigarette to the bottom of the glass and crushing the original one down. he pretends to take a drag of it, and puffs air on the second one from under the table. Then he takes another puff, holds it, crushes the original deep into the napkin, and exhales
@lolo855 Glass is a liquid because, when melted, it is able to flow which classifies is as a fluid and fluids are related to liquids. Glass is considered frozen because it's a solid, but has a melting point. For example: ice and water
Criss: "whats your name?" Black Guy: "Robbery *incoherent*" Criss: "what is it?" Black Guy: "Rodderick" Criss: "Alright, whatever the fuck you just said, nice to meet you man"
@JoelMonroe1 Actually not always some times when its like Criss' coin trick he actually just secretly has 2 quarters 1 in his hand and one on the table. He secretly just puts the coin that is in his hand under the quarter that is on the table and what he does it he squeezes the one on top so that it would slide to a napkin that is next to the quarter, and since the second coin is under the table it creates an illusion that the quarter melted through the table.
@themagicianbryan The smoke part at the end is easy. You just hold it in. As for how he got it through a 'glass' table, I cannot say. But the quotations are part of what I estimate as the hint.
Glass is known as an amorpous(Sp) solid. It does not have a difinitive melting point (Sudden change in ability to resist shear forces. It has a gradual change in viscosity. (Viscosity is the measurment of a fluid to resist shear). Ie Glas does not "Melt" in a way that ice or other common materials do. it just continues to become softer and "Flow more"
By that standard iron, steel, lead and aluminum are all liquids as well, because they also can be brought to a melting point. Ice is a solid. It's H2O in it's solid state. Water is H2O in it's liquid state. It just has a higher melting point then the other mentioned compounds.
for your information it IS a liquid. thats why old windows are thicker at the bottom then at the top. its viscosity is just too high for us to see it over a short period of time.
It is sometimes said that glass in very old churches is thicker at the bottom than at the top because glass is a liquid, and so over several centuries it has flowed towards the bottom. This is not true. In Mediaeval times panes of glass were often made by the Crown glass process. A lump of molten glass was rolled, blown, expanded, flattened and finally spun into a disc before being cut into panes. The sheets were thicker towards the edge of the disc and were usualy installed at the bottom.
At 3:08 you see him take a puff, but he never breathes out, until he pretends to take a hit through the glass. So the "breathing through the glass" part is solved.
guys he explained it, glass are and can be a luquid, he basicly put the paper on the soft part of the glass that can melt easily, just gotta be smart with science

You're repeating an urban legend. Glass is not a liquid. Glass is irregular in old church windows because, prior to development of the modern float glass technique, glass could not be created that was perfectly flat, and the tendency amongst builders was always to put the thicker end downwards (as makes sense).
it is a solid the whole liquid thing is a study backin 1951 and it was from old glass windows but its proven wrong because old windows already had drips when they were made since glass makers back then werent as "high tech" its an amophous solid not a liquid
2:23 he hits the napkin from under the table obviously he got set up glass and just simply burns through the napkin and then pushes it through the open bit of glass
@themagicianbryan There's a way. I'm sure the cig was not an average cigarette. The glass was something special too. He is really good at what he does no doubt.
When he puts the cig under the table and smokes it, hes not really smoking it obviously, the ash never lights up, hes holding the smoke in his mouth from the previous inhale. you can also see when he blows it out hes still holding some in his mouth so that he can do it twice
Glass has a melting point of about 1400 C. In order for glass to melt, which is the process of changing a solid into a liquid, means it must first be a solid.
I did not know that liquid could be defined as "clear, transparent, or bright." So, I apologize for my ignorance. And, I did some more research. As to technical distinctions, glass is considered neither solid nor liquid. Glass is considered an "AMORPHOUS SOLID." Glass is not a "supercooled liquid" as some have argued. I knew I should have trusted my instincts. I still don't see why people have to get so upset about it. Perhaps I have been trolled without realizing it.
The napkin is the real trick here, the heat from the burning cigarette set the chemicals inside the "napkin" to burn that specific area of the glass below it where the heat was applied. Think about it... "See the napkin melting?"
when he puts the black cloth on the table theres a little factory that gets build underneath cuts a whole then repairs it quickly in time for the reveal
no he started hitting it in the middle big hits so he could have smoke to blow out if you notice when it was completly under the table and he supposably took a hit the cherry never lit up he had left ove smoke in his mouth to blow out thats why he took those big hits :) sooo yea tell me im wrong
what! look when Criss removes the cloth - there's something left on the table....kinda hard to see but, you can see at 3:32 when the guy in the red shirt puts his hand on the table - he removes the thing
When he took the puff of the cigarrette when it was on the other side of the glass table after it went through the glass and he let it out, it was the smoke from the time he took the puff of the cig when it was half way through the table because from that puff he didn't let it out.

Amazing how people can be so impressed by watching someone push an object through a hole in a table.
but there is no hole soy you are a moron because there is not, it is magic
How wonderful to get his opinion on smoking we are truly blessed.
"im not mindfreaked im mindf*cked" lol
i just got MIND FREAKED! awesome. see ya chirs angel - sterling
All these people are his team. They create a sensation around his trick to make it appear realistic
DAMN IT! HE JUST PUT THE CIGARETTE IN HIS MOUTH AND I ALREADY STARTED TO REPLAY
I think he needs more necklaces/rings and such to complete the "look"

The last time he took a puff, he didnt let any smoke out of his mouth so he saved it for the joke at the end

No, that's not how the trick works. Crushing a cigarette causes it to split and bend. This is not that.

Glass is an amorphous solid. It has the mechanical properties of a solid, but its atomic structure is closer to that of a super cooled liquid.
That's heat... it ******* hurts.

Glass is a solid that is transformed to liquid due to high temperatures.
Ice is a solid that also becomes a liquid but when warmed up.

how do you find the soft spot on a glass table

@rangbrod i see but how did he threw it through the table?
When he smokes through the glass, hes exhaling the smoke he smoked before since he never breathed it out.

glass is a solid. spread black ,button magnet, cloth .stick another cigarette to `soft spot`. hide cirarette in black cloth hole dissapears.
