I'm getting legally married to my husband soon so I'm like REALLYYY trying to grow some length on my natural nails for ny wedding day! 😂 Because i want long ish nails for my big day but i cant stand fake nails. They ruin my nail beds like crazy. So I've been usung builder gels and gel polishes. Gonna move on to acrylic dip powder soon because i want a dip powder ombre for my wedding. ❤
@@Batty_0666 first of congratulations sweetheart that’s amazing I can’t wait to hear how your big day was 🥰 so I found using a rubber base coat and builder gel and keeping a thin layer on their always even when I do my fills makes me nails so strong I don’t do soak offs very often I usually just fill my nails with the same builder gel and I’ve had my nails grow so long it’s insane 🤯 you got this happy nail journey sis
@@ravensreviews I definitely need to do more research on what brands are best to use because the builder gels I'm using are kind of useless. 😭😂 I've followed so many tutorials step by step and the gel still peels off a few days later or doesn't cure all the way. One day I actually left my nails under the lamp for 3 minutes. 💀 Still didn't cure one of the brands I got. I don have lifting problems or bubbles either. Idk why it peals. Only thing I can think of is the fact that they're on the cheaper side so quality must not be the best. :( Still learning though so I'm hoping to find what works best for me. For now I'll keep up with the gel polishes because I've never had any issues with them so far. ❤️ Also tysm! 🥰
@@Batty_0666 do you have instagram? If so follow me @RavensNailBar If you direct message me I can go through the steps you need to achieve a manicure that will last and help your nail journey. If you don’t have instagram I’ll give some tips here regardless to help you out. Firstly you need to use a good brand not all gels are made equal and this could be causing you issue. I suggest Madam Glam’s builder gel in a bottle or their pot formula. Secondly prep matters big time so you need to with a file, buffer, e-file rough up the surface. Natural nails have oils that can make it very hard for the gel to adhere and then it just peels off. Also your lamp matters! If you don’t have a good quality lamp this can also make it not cure properly leading to possible allergic reactions to the under cured polish. Make sure during prep you clean you nails with acetone or alcohol to remove all oils I like using rubbing alcohol personally. I use 99%. You can also use a dehydrator and primer to help adhesion and ph levels of your nails all making a good environmental for your gel to adhere better. You must use a good base coat and make sure there’s nothing spilling on your side walls or cuticle flooding this too can cause lifting or peeling. There’s so many more tips and tricks to help but again if you’re having an issue curing try thinner layers and build it up as you go curing in between to ensure all layers are cured. Buff the builder gel before applying your polish this all helps me greatly. I have so many other things that help I show these in my natural nail care videos but I can walk you through what to buy and do if you want to message me directly.
