You ain't lying. Just finished this weekend for the first time. Loved every second of it. Hate i missed out on such a great franchise. Playing City now and Knight on the back end.
I totally agree with you, I remember when this game came out I was hooked with the way it felt since you really feel that you’re Batman in all the ways you expect to be.
This game will always have the #1 spot in my heart. Reasons 1) bigger is not always better. Sequel is amazing but i like the intimacy of this one. 2) I recall vividly the time BEFORE this game. Super heroe games SUCKED. I recall the first previews, rumours that this game would have 'flowing combat mechanics'. I along with so many others dismissed that as the usual bull. Little did i know. And as always in 2024: They cant make games like this anymore. Or more likely: They refuse to make games like this. Major parts of it would be butchered by people who don't do game design but PR or other things that are more aking to bureaucracy. It has to have a specific message, monetization, grasp on the player to 'maximize player time spend on the product'. Excellent ways to inject venom into a project that slowly kills it.
For me, each game in the Arkhamverse aside from Origins just got better. Even so, I love coming back to Arkham Asylum and revisiting where it all began. It might've been simple, but it was still so fun. Also, Asylum remains the scariest game in my eyes
This game doesnt just "holds up" in 2024, this game actually puts other AAA game from 2024 TO SHAME! bro im replaying arkham saga, and im enjoying it MUCH more than all these boring, story driven , generic mechanic, realistic graphics ,with dialogues safe for kids. GIVE ME THAT ARKHAM GAMES, pg18 , curses, dark , exciting and unpredictable mechanics, incredible grim narrative.
Arkham Asylum is so much better than both Gotham Knights and SSKTJL. Arkham Knight is still the absolute pinnacle, but Arkham Asylum laid the masterful foundation for what came after.

Awesome 😎
Did this only a few years ago. Worth it. Haven’t been able to get access to Arkham Origins yet though.
@paladinheadquarters7776 yeah. Xbox could make it backwards compatible at least or WB could remaster it.
@@johnnywilkerson8834 a remaster would be cool
@johnnywilkerson8834 Origins is backward compatible but only on disc.
I played this beautiful game for the first time last week, it was incredible, genuinely had the most fun ive had with a video is a hot minute
It's fantastic. Everybody should play it.

There’s just something about this game’s atmosphere

Just finished a fourth replay last night. Game still holds up as amazing all these years later.
It’s one of the best games ever made
@@zman0005 The original 4 Arkham games are truly timeless. Even the parts that show their age dont sully the game even a little.
100%ed the game recently. It was 3rd playthrough and it was amazing.
Awesome 😎

@@brookskull1404 Suoerman Returns on ps2 is good. If you play with cheats.

Rocksteady's Arkham games are truly elite. There's no competition.
