I'm sure all of us maplers hold Maplestory close to our hearts and cherish our memories with the game dearly. Maplestory has united all of us and given us such an experience of a lifetime. Even if the game shuts down, it will never die. It will always stay in our hearts.

I disagree, this game fell of. still banger osts I must admit.
Coming from the end of December 2022. Just needed to hear this piece again before the new year.
Many orchestras tried recreating this theme with their own twist, but none had managed to showcase the melancholic feeling this version brings.
I was actually partway through a live orchestra version before I closed it and came here

Goosebumps every time.. It's so telling of the task that lies ahead. Killing a former ally, a queen.. a girl who struggled hard to become the leader her people needed in these dark times, only for them all to end up corrupt.. and you, the hero, who now need to end your former ally and friend.

I dont play nearly as much as i used to a kid...but Maplestory is always installed on any computer that i own.

Maplestory bgm(s) make me so nostalgic and are just the greatest. Makes doing cardio ( running treadmill) actually not a pain. I always use this playlist and Cygnus Garden is one of the best!
The evil magic of the Black Mage created a time warp where Empress Cygnus and her Knights become twisted by darkness and work for the Black Mage. If you really think about it, it's kind of tragic. Love the story that's been brewing for Maplestory.

It gets really good at 1:02. Fighting Cygnus with this BGM is so perfect... One of the greatest aspects of Maple is the music. (almost) Never fails to disappoint.
Every time I listen to this song I think of a royal ball, or some type of royal character. It's great for inspiration and let alone a great song.
YES! I know right! It also contains a tinge of feel that gives of the impression of loosing something or destruction which shows how the Cygnus Knights became corrupted and the place being destroyed

There's a really sad feel to this theme T_T And I love it.
For a game made in 2003, this is pretty impressive.
Music is timeless
The feels are strong with this one. Although it's revealed to just be an illusion, it still gives off the feeling of the world coming to an end and the last Bastion of hope has fallen and been corrupted and turned against you.
