- In a clip where trisha paytas removed her press on nails, it almost looked like they snapped on and off magnetically. So this gave me the idea to do my first attempt at magnetic press on nails!

I have a thought. Try mixing the metal filings into some acrylic powder. Put oil on your nails. Put the acrylic powder/iron mix into the the press on nail. Then press it on your nail. It will create a perfect impression of you nail and it will hold the nail on to the magnet. It shouldn’t move around because the magnet is stationary.
I forgot to say put the magnet and gel polish on your nail like you did, you want ans impression of that whole situation.

I have the same with having it mixed in the gel or something, like the cat eye gel polish but slightly stronger.
And my girl/boy that's a million dollar Idea about the acrylic.
@@drunkmonster11 I considered the gel too, but you have to do it before the nail is decorated. Also I wonder if the amount of filings needed would interfere with it curing.
I actually think the drawings came out so well! The details were so good and I can see major improvement in your hand-drawn art!

Honey I'm so sorry for your loss we all know how much your dogs mean to you. A little tip for magnetic nails to work at all they need two anchor points, one magnet at the bottom of the nail & one at the top otherwise they will just spin. Please take all the time you need to grieve if you don't feel like recording.
.Do you remember the letters and numbers magnets you had as a child that you stuck on the fridge?? On the backs of them they have a magnet that's thin and you can cut with a pair of scissors.. Do you think that would work?? By they way the design and colors you used are adorable and your getting sooo much better with your artwork.. Just thought I'd tell you that😍

I feel like the magnets might be so weak that the nails would pop off just by looking at em
I mean, I’ve tried the magnetic eyeliner for false eyelashes that works a treat! So there is something there. But it’s going to have to be quite a strong magnetic nail polish to stop the wobbling problem and the popping off after any kind of impact issue. Not sure the invention would supersede what a double sided sticker can do, but man I would love the ease of magnetic nails! 💅😱👏😍

I think you're onto a good idea. I think if she puts on a base coat and on top of that, use the magnet lash glue on the nail and tip will work. I think I'll try it 🤔.

Now the idea of a magnetic press on is amazing! Have you seen magnetic powder? Do you think maybe it could work instead of the iron thing? So you put a thin layer on your nail and a thin layer on the press on, idk if it would be strong enough or even work like that but maybe it's an idea.
And for the second character you drew (sorry I didn't catch the name) maybe if you do it horizontally on the nail it could work better, I know it could be weird looking but who knows..
Anyway loved the video and I'm excited to see if you can come up with new improved ideas for the magnetic press ons bc it would be awesome!

I really love the concept here! I'm wondering if a nail polish that is maybe filled with like iron (something similar to those magnetic nail polishes that you can literally change the design of with a magnet) and then the faux nail itself has the magnet embedded in it. Like a little hole drilled in the nail to make the tiny magnet level with the acrylic of the nail. Then maybe it could get a more snug fit? Because if the natural nail is able to be magnetized (I'm not sure if I'm using the right word lol) all we would need is one magnet to stick to the metalic/magnetic surface.

You could theoretically put magnets on the back of rhinestones or charms to put on the natural nails when you don’t have the long press ons to somewhat disguise the magnet bump if you were concerned about it! They’d probably not be super solid on there so you’d still have to be careful, but definitely could be better than just having a flat circle in the center 🤣
this is such an amazing idea oh my god. maybe making the nails matte could help with disguising the magnet. of maybe you could work the magnet into the design somehow as well. like the center of a flower or something. idk i’m not the best at design haha

Aw Emily, its the worst feeling in the world to lose a pet. I've lost 2 of my cats in the past two years. It does change you but it gets easier with time. The love your dog has given you has made your life richer, happier and better. Without them it is undoubtedly hard but how lucky are we to have experienced their endless love

personally i would put the magnet on the top of the nail tip instead of under so the nails could lay flush. try putting the magnet on first then building over it with acrylic or whatever and go on as usual. then the magnet would be hidden, the nails would lay flat, and it would probably help with the wobble of the nails.

i think using a magntic base as your tried, and then maybe incorporating the magnetic into the nail design to sadwhich the nail between the base magnet and top one so it is sturdier? Loved the video such an interesting concept !

I think you can put a magnet on a paper form and build a nail around it with gel so you don't have that space between your real nail and the form. I don't know if I explain myself, English is not my native language

Maybe you could embed the upper magnet in polygel in a dual form so the nail fits better over the thicker base? I think using 2 of the little round magnets on your nail would help keep the extension from wobbling as much.

Mixing the iron powder into acrylic taking and impression of the shape and using it.. that could work. Also you could use the very thin magnetic sheets like you would get business card magnets made with. The last suggestion would
Be to do a shorter set, I think because these were so long the magnet just wasn’t enough. I’d love to see you have success with idea
Sorry about your pup😢. I wanted to suggest magnetic iron powder like what is used in magnetic slime-mixed with the gel base maybe? And rather than gluing a magnet on the underside of the press on, use a tiny magnetic nose stud(ball or diamond)on top of the press on disguised as bling

Maybe a square shaped magnet and an inset magnet on the natural nail in a deeper build? So it would "lock" in place. But you'd need a really thin magnet for the base. What a fun concept though.

I think Trisha's magnets were incorporated in the bling she had on top of them. Maybe a hole drilled in so more contact is made with the nail. Wondering if some metal is layed on her natural nail 🤔
You could try foil magnet, or a magnet sheet. I know i came across one and it supposed to have a sticky layer so you could stick it on something. Although i dont know how thing those could be.
Year late but maybe try to paint the nails with iron and put iron on the back of the press on?

U tested the magnet thru the glass so maybe, if there is a next time, u could put the magnet on top of the nail, it could b the center of a flower or something idk ❤

Try using magnetic sheets and it will flat and you can cut the piece to the shape and size of your nail.
Maybe try magnetic tape. It's a lot thinner and flexible.
