    Tried this for our Thanksgiving and it turned out GREAT!
    1. thawed
    2. 350° 20 minutes
    3. Turned, repeat
    4. Had to do 20 more minutes to get to internal temp of 165°
    Thank you so much! We enjoy your cooking videos 🙂

    Tried your recipe last year on a 4 lb butter ball turkey and it was the BEST turkey that I’ve ever had!!! Hands down!! Came back this year for a refresher (and to comment) because I will be cooking this again with a 5 lb breast. I cooked mine at 350 for 40 minutes and applied half the seasoning in the beginning and then added the rest at the half way mark. Followed your suggestion on using less oil , as well :) Again this was the BEST turkey ever and I can’t wait for my Thanksgiving dinner this year. Sending much appreciation from Greensboro NC as well!! Thanks sooooooo much!!

      Do you have to thaw it out... or can you cook it frozen?

    • @carlahenry7311
      @carlahenry7311 4 роки тому +1

      Definitely thaw! Follow the instructions on the package and you should be good to go! I sat my frozen breast in the fridge on a baking dish for a couple of days to thaw out. I hope this helps!

    A good idea is before you start seasoning, use your fingers to lift all that webbing out of it's groves and reposition it onto the non-grooved parts. That will not only allow the seasoning to get into those grooves but also make the webbing MUCH easier to remove after cooking.

    Doug, your the best. I got the same air fryer you have. I went to Walmart this morning and picked up one of those turkeys. I followed your directions and I have to tell you this is one of the best turkeys I have had in a very long time. Great video and great food, from a great person who made my dinner super easy. Thanks for your post. Again yummy turkey.

    Looks awesome. I usually remove the mesh before cooking. Maybe tie it with kitchen twine. And I have also added bacon strips over it to protect the meat from drying out. Thanks for the video!

    fried turkey is a game changer .. I think the crust works .. when I would use my Butterball turkey fryer the skin would always be crispy, but locks in the juices and flavor of your seasonings. I see the airfryer did the same. gonna try this with the turkey breast they normally have in the store

    Definitely need to get a turkey and fix one in my fryer. We love turkey here and I will buy a small one and fix it; no Thanksgiving side, just basic mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans, or corn. Take the left over meat, make some more gravy, toast some bread and pour the gravy and meat on the toast for a quick meal.
    Enjoyed the video, really enjoy watching and listening to you as you talk, the giving of info, chatting and such just makes it more friendly, a connection aspect.

    Looks awesome! I picked up a 3 lb Butterball turkey roast that's a combination of white and dark meat (white meat is too dry for me - and yes, I paid too much, too!). I'm anxious to try your recipe. I just can't decide if I want to use my Gourmia or Ninja Foodi air fryer as they are a little different. This one may be best cooked in the Gourmia, but we'll see (I'll let you know how it turns out!). I appreciate your laid back, casual style and tips throughout the video. Even though you think it's a bit too crispy, it looks perfect to me. And based on the dishes you described, I want to have Thanksgiving dinner with you! God Bless.

    For comments below about juices. It's not supposed to drip all over the juices IT'S IN IT! Airfry n deepdry hello same it keeps all juices inside and soft and outside nice crisp. If want juices all over oven bake or crockpot. This hold in the juices and dam taste good to.
