I really love the "Guided Playthrough" thing you are doing. Just finished A3 Hell and it went super smoothly, killed the Travincal guys with ease (i guess i got really suuuper lucky the way they were standing). Mephisto kill also was peice of cake. Did just cry him to back to hell thanks to the "Insight" weapon on my merc. The whole A3 took me like really long but in the end I made it without real troubles at any point. Just moved forward slow and steady. Im really looking forward to kill Diablo and Baal and play the other classes. Many many thanks for this, these guides are awesome.
Insane how much balance they achieved in this game being well over 20 years old ! Even with the ancients… 😊 you have Madoc who is very tanky but with extremely weak damage. Then Talic who hits very hard but has slim survivability and of course Korlic is in the middle. Just really cool to see the small details in effort they put in ! Great let’s play Mr L !
I loved this character, and my intention is to have good gear and run the pits with it. A good idea for this one is to have a merc with Defiance and and Insight weapon, with that and the shout warcry the guy never dies lol
Thanks for this awsome guide i followed it every second - i ended hell on my singer barb "Skald" with levle 81 cause i did a lot more Hell Countess run for runes but never got awsome runes BUT i was lucky to find some on the run and my merc got his Obedience on an war scythe helping me out BIG time on bosses cause i lacked the 1hand crush blow mace ... only got 2 times Bonesnap but i was to lazy to boost my strenght up to 69 to use this 2handed mace (its pretty slow but the chance of crushing hit is decent!) i finally found my BLACK hammer (darn it is 6 spaces in my cube so unhandy!) and used it with RHYME to face at least Mephisto and Diablo and of course Baal ... for Diablo my Obedience was on the merc and wiht enough 100% rejuv pots i managed to get HIM the final blow :) mercs revenge the best. It was very funny and i felt NM is the best difficulty to get a singer barb shining... also if i ever would play a permadeath character it would be this build cause you cant beat the singer, right?
Stuck on ancients with Hell sorc. Bad build. No way of getting absolution token. Started another sorc full blizz build via your advice and got hell down at 75. Blizz/ firewall wound up having to get crafty on Korlic and having him chase me around a broken pillar with blaze going and holding my breath to finish him off after I ran out of potions. Able to beat the game and farm baal/tokens now. Point is- still no Shako 😂 Big love for your advice from Mesquite. Love the guides.
Definitely this character is playable through the game if you are one of the top players in the world. For someone like me who has trouble getting through the game with hammers pally, not so much. But your vids were a lot of fun to watch. Thanks.
Each of these videos ran 3.5 hours, so you can expect about 10 hours to take a Barb solo through the game. The Bo Barb from LLama's speed run got through the game in 2.5 hours. I think we all need to get onto Discord and figure out our groups for Launch...

Cleared Hell today while watching the guide. I think this was my first barb clear on hell ever. Despite playing pre LOD. Keep up the content and have you considered doing a post game overview? Just a look at what to upgrade and run with these characters once you complete hell?

On the topic of remote workers, our company was one of the pioneers of it. We started 15 years ago and didn't even have an office for like 3 years. My entire team worked remotely and it was a constant battle to get some of them to stop working.
a lot of managers are against work from home exactly for that reason. You can't actually stop people from working, and some people will work themselves into the ground if they aren't forcefully stopped. Yes, a lot of people are also lazy and work as little as possible, but the overworkers can actually get the company in legal trouble, if they don't intervene.

You obviously need to stop people from going completely nuts, but some people get a killer idea in motion and its better to just let them grind it out. My 2nd in command worked side by side with me in terms of hours and we often combined for 200 hours a week. She now owns a chunk of the company and is enjoying quite a bit of free time. There was an 8 year span where I worked 12 to 18 hours a day with only 2 days off. That only worked because it was from home.

If an employee works like that the owner of the company goes to jail, no matter how the employee is compensated. As a boss it is your job to take care of your employees wellbeing, even if it hurts the company. I run my own company as well and I have 14-16 hour days from time to time, but i never let anyone that works for me work more than 8,5h a day, not even external contractors.
I recently did this char in d2r as one of my first. Watching this video has reminded and convinced me definitely not to do it again in ladder. It's just too weak damage wise - even act 1 hell is a total grind.
I've brought almost every class to endgame. The last was the barb. As per guide, I went with the singer barb. I've struggling so hard with it I ended up cleaning my Dyson. BARBS ARE HARD SOLO!!!
So ive been playing along, essentially want to play a trav horker at ladder start. Until i get griefx2 or maybe oathx2 and respec to ww, seems like i can just sing them down without too much issue. Ideally i would pub leech my way to chaos and push 80-85 for the extra find potion levels, but 2x spirit + lore + myth, and insight on a merc should be more than enough for a ladder starter
Andariel poison is no joke best to have something with reduce poison legnth venom ward bp works great +90 poison resistance +15% to max posion res and reduce posion length 50%. actually what i use on farming andariel on sorc since i have yet to find a sunder charm of any kind although she can drop the charms herself have yet to see any there like 1/1300ish for me. and no luck finding high runes so i can make infinity.
My Singer clears NM Worldstone and Throne so easily but can barely do anything in Act1 Hell on D2 classic. Unless they nerfed the monster phys dmg reduction for D2R I am a bit hesitant about taking a Singer to Hell.
Does anyone know if llama happens to ever mention how best to start building towards the suggested gear for these builds? I’m struggling against some of the later hell content and have no idea how to best farm for some of the pieces that I need to improve.
Someone really needs to make a Barb singer mod, where he sings instead of currently crying. Bababababa BARBIAN, I am the barbarian!!! Tralalalala Barb barb Barbarian. Singing should also cause enemy to run in fear 25% of the time, because lets face it, barb is really bad at singing.
I'm 200% totally agree with mrllamasc, that this game is really fun for playthrough.. i found that lot of ppl complaining about D2 is very boring but where they waiting and requesting ppl to carry them (whatever G-Rush/C-Rush) through hell Baal and straight to level 80+ within few hours, right after they created a level 1 char, instead of actually "play" the game.. then due to MF-ing and high rune farm low drop rate, they get bored after 50~100 runs when they cant get all the end game high end gear/runewords, they said the game is so boring.. or after they get all the end game gear, by trading/real money purchase, they said the game is so boring with no harder content.. i'll said u r welcome to f*ck off! u r not respecting the game creator and truly enjoy going thru the game but just aim for crushing things, go play those like dynasty warriors type "harvesting paddy" game...
A couple of comments on the playthrough. I feel like you play a little too much like a speedrunner. Someone doing a normal play through should be using find item on every boss they kill My other comment is that you should be using Howl more when skipping areas. It makes running through way safer and easier when you are fearing everything. Especially when you aren't as good as MrLlama. Great videos though.

I've been working from home since March of 2019, and only been in the office about 5 times. Good times. 1:27:20 I played D1 as a kid over dial up, and even had my own PK clan. Put in thousands of hours in D2, then D2LoD, but stopped playing during my undergrad to focus on football/partying/girls. Fast forward to real adult life and was stoked for D3. Bought a new gaming rig, ordered the collectors edition that cost ~$100 at launch, and took the day off of work. In classic Blizzard fashion launch day was botched. In the end, after playing for a while it just didn't have it like D2. Between game aesthetic, story decisions, and the vast departure from the previous titles I started botting in D3 even though I never did on D2 or D1. Eventually uninstalled D3, went back to D2, learned about D2jsp, made some fg and got my first enigma. Played a couple more years before hanging up the cleats for good. Gave away several mules of gg items and hundreds of fg at the end.

I am Now in (Hell)Arcane Sanctuary... what a Pain .. these Physical Immunes Spectres are! & therr are No Walls I can Hide from Them!!.. Like I Ran From The few Elite Giardians & Claw Vipers : Fangskin to get Viper Amulet ... so It just Takes TIME! For my Merc to Kill the Spectres .. Well it Took me just 1 year + to get Here!.. but Its Possible... I know this wasn't accurate at the time but Blizzard has since released a patch allowing you to create Obedience in a spear weapon.
Act 2 mercs should be able to use spears and act 1 mercs should be able to use crossbows.

To be fair, early D3 was unplayable. It was much more palatable after Jay and his goons were kicked off and the expansion came out.
What would you recoment for a endgame build for barb if you are playing with a friend and solo ?

The barb needs either a buff to the WW or some splash damage. Nobody or very little want to play a shout barb
