So many mics to choose from my head is spinning , question for pros would this or what mic would be best for vocals and very low pitches voices ??? Appreciate the help 🙏 or is it more.of a daw thing? Or what works best ,
Thank you for the comparison, I'm new to the game but I want to get a good mike to record male vocals. I don't have that great an ear to decide which is better but the 107 sounded great on your guitar and I like the available options on the 107 which leads me toward purchasing it. I just got the HeadRush prime modeler so I'd love to use them together and see what I can create. The comments also helped a lot, they had observations I'm not qualified to hear so they also helped me make the decision toward the 107. Thanks for helping me make the decision. Peace.
I own the TLM 107 and love it for it's full balanced sound and it's versatility. For male vocals, I generally use the high-pass filter switch to knock off some of the low end. I record through either the UA 6176 or Avalon vt737-sp. The mic sounds incredible.
The TLM 103 presence boost really helps the Martin..brings out the highs more and controls that dreadnaught bass boom
Both has great low and high frequencies, but TLM 107 catch more clear mid to high zone. And yes, stereo with both (R + L) sounds really great.
Love the 107 on guitar. Beautiful.
I'm literally on the market and I was torn between these two mics! this is brilliant timing for this video...thank u!
Great review Ryan! I got the TLM 107 and I love it but it seems to need more gain compared to my NT1A or MXL 990. Is that the case normally?
Great video thx for sharing.
BEAUTIFUL Acoutsic guitars in the intro 🥺

The TLM 107 seems a bit more neutral, while the TLM 103 has more presence.
The 107 is gorgeous !!!!

Probably would benefit from the bass roll off switch on the 107
the 800 more or so its because its much more versatile! check the polar patterns :)
Crap the mic bro that guitar melody was 🔥🔥🔥 I forget I even came for the mics 😂

Tlm 107 definitely! The 103 sounds too brittle
When they're turned upside down they sound best.
Neumann TLM 103
tlm 103 best
i mean why not its already setup!
