I would say that closest you could come right now is Colter Wall. They have very different styles, so it is hard to judge. They would both have to cover the same song or co-write a song and sing a duet or something.

Best one to cut your teeth on is a live version of Easy come Easy go......where he is playing the whole song on a 3 string cigar box guitar....it is FIRE 🔥
Yes, you're right. He really is that good. Mind-blowingly good. We won't get somebody who can sing like that and play like that and have the gracia in the songs that he composed for decades to come. The first time I heard this guy by accident in UA-cam Music my eyes nearly bugged out of my head. I realised I had suddenly stumbled onto one of the greats. They don't come that often among all the amazing talent out there. Really not.

Me too, saw him open for Chris in 2019. Crowd stopped when he sang. I like the song So long live he slayed it. Now I am a HUGE Marcus fan.
