Hey Durbin, I used your videos to replace front and rear pads on a GLC 300 - both times worked perfect. Thank you!
To remove the caliper spring ,simply lever the middle of the clip towards the caliper ,it pops out of the 2 holes , also to release the wear sensor ,simply pry the small wire up a fraction and the plug pulls out . Bit of butchery in parts of this video, but great overall. Very helpful.

Great video, thank you. I am having trouble getting 2015 C300 to go into workshop mode so I can release the brake to replace them. I was able to do it once but it took a bunch of tries. Any suggestions?

6x6 is an excellent choice for jack stand on a low profile car!
I always keep a bunch of cribbing readily available. No excuse for no safety
Its a best practice to sand the rotor every time a new pad goes. You should be able to take it to a shop to do that so that the pad and rotor stick together without gaps

Does it matter what brake pad goes where on the rear? the brake pad with the sensor should be on the inside right? And when I put the caliper on I had issues getting it back on is it the brake pads not being in there right location? And yes I did push in the piston on the caliper so it’s not that. And by the way thank you for the video , much needed!

Love your videos. Hope you can help. I bought an 09 c300, love it. When i push on the brakes it has a sound that repeats every 3 seconds until i let off. Is that the pads, rotor or wheel bearing.? Can it be something else?
Yes definitely sounds brake related.
What does fitting position do exactly ?
Is it possible to change the rear pads without the fitting position little manoeuvre ?

I think the manual says spark plugs every 40,000 miles. I have a video on those as well. I don’t believe in wasting the money on the brake fluid changes
Man, I am so angry. My wife had to go from BMW to Mercedes and I fix all our cars. This is over engineering on steroids. BMW brakes are soooooo easy and fast. Now I have to get a special tool to compress the caliper? Ughhh. I don't understand what the ebtake is even for! Thanks for showing us. I subscribed.
The ebrake is the most annoying thing. It’s not designed for stopping and getting out driving. Every time you open the driver door it clamps down. Then if you want to move the car with the door open, you have to manual release it. Not to mention the safety feature where it dumps it into park while the car is still rolling if you open the driver door

Edit : And Tha brake pad wear sensor is so much easier less intrusive on the BMW. This one has tiny exposed wires, cheap connection set up. Almost seems like they forgot about it and added it in at the end :)
On my BMW, I push back the pistons with a pry bar between the old brake pads. I’m sure this is possible with a MB. You can also rent a caliper tool for free from most auto parts stores. Generally, I’ve found my wife’s MB to be no more over engineered than my BMw.

Sorry it took me so long to reply! The part I have for this is 0004206700 from AutoHausAZ. These are the AMG (Sport) package brake pads.

No, not if it is in good shape
2 questions, is there only one sensor on the 2015 c300 model as well, also do you have to replace the sensor each time you change the pads? I just bought pads and one sensor for the job tomorrow.
Only sensors on the passenger side of the car. Front and rear if it is not damaged. You can reuse

Once you set the rear epb to service mode did you turn the car off or leave it on

After re engaging the epb do you have to pump the brakes before starting or the epb takes car of theirs? Thx again

What torque setting did you use for the bolts?
The brake caliper bolts? 12ft-lbs, just past snug basically.

When I press and hold “OK” and “call” at the same time the menu does not come up. Vehicle is in position 1.
You actually need to hit the phone button first and then press okay. Not at the same time.
Do both sides have the sensors?
Only on passenger side
