I've done grappling for 25 years and every now and then I think I've seen every move, but there is always something new. That's what's so great about this art 😎👍
3:51 Really well played segway :) Thank you for the information and especially the knee-elbow escape tip to free the leg on 0:50. Most difficult for me is to figure the correct position of the bottom leg. Brian kept it on the floor, Grace held it in the air without blocking Shintaros left hip. Still investigating.
I use the clamp all the time and put my bottom foot on the hip if possible, for what it's worth. Least amount of effort needed and/or best way to manage the distance for attacks.
Hello all. I hope all is well. Does anyone know why most all BJJ rule sets do not have win by pinfall? I find it very interesting that Wrestling, and Judo has win by pinfall, but BJJ does not. Why does BJJ not put a high value on pins? Thank you.
such a fun question :) I think the answer is not truly knowable, but some argue that helio gracie was often thrown for ippon by judo players, and pinned as well - and therefore you find neither ippon nor pinfall in BJJ. Another argument is that a pinfall wont end a real fight, but a submission surely will - therefore BJJ does not include pinning to win.

That bicep + SHOULDER frame is what I’ve been missing for sooooo long. Thank you!

I love this, it has created so many attacking opportunities for me
Sensei Glick is great👍
WONDERFUL POSITION DETAILS CONGRATULATION BRO❤
Yes, Sensei!
This is kind of like rubber guard
Except far more useful because you're not wasting an arm by holding your own leg.
