You didn't bring up the increased costs of insuring or fixing your tesla well above a similar gas-powered car. Then there is the catastrophic possibilities of a battery fire....don't think for a minute that Fire-station twelve blocks away will save your Tesla, it will not, if it starts smoking, consider it a bomb & the fuse has just been lit. If it parked in a garage, in less than three minutes time that garage WILL be destroyed, followed by attached structures ...& there's nothing you OR the Fire department can do...
