This is what makes HunterXHunter so amazing. The amount of freedom in the Nen usage is truly fantastic. The over arching rules are simple, and the more strict you become, the more interesting it gets. Netero does have amazing Nen sure, but it’s the fact that he limited his actions that makes him so unique and strong. He always prays but he prays so well that time practically stops 😂 and that is cool as fuck. Easily one of the coolest things to me, to see what one persons immense dedication can produce given the Magic’s rules.

Also that moment when you realise just how bad ass a user Netero really is. Netero is an enhancer, but summoning the guanyin bodhisattva is conjuration, something Netero should only be 60% efficient in, and attacking with it is manipulation, again something he should only be 60% efficient in. Netero's speed is pure enhancement. His nen ability should typically be something he excels in (like Uvogin enhancing his body to be super strong/powerful), but Netero's isn't.
But yes, the sheer variations and different applications of nen is mind boggling. Fights very rarely come down to who has the more powerful ability, it comes down to who has the better understanding of their power and what it can do. Then on top of that you have the limit/conditional tweaks which can change how an ability works. It makes the fights more interesting.

By the time he fights Netero it’s fair to say Meruem has doubled his power from both eating and playing with Komugi although there is no actual way to determine that

Tbh both Netero and Meruem had to die. They were so out of place in terms of strength even when compared to other top tier fighters like the phantom troupe, Hisoka or the Zoldycks.
Jeez, not even the Royal Guards would stand a chance.
And no, do NOT even start with "But Pitou took a hit and didn't have a scratch. Netero wouldn't even be able to defeat the guards!!!". Yeah. After ONE hit she wasn't injured. But keep in mind that Netero could hit Pitou thousands of times per minute. At this rate, she'd be beaten into a pulp in no time. There would be no time for her to evade the attacks. Netero could probably use first hand over and over again. He couldn't use it against Meruem because Meruem was too fast. But he is a lot faster than Pitou. Yeah, she is fast too, but not that fast. So Netero could just use this attack on her again and again. And one strike of First Hand made Meruem - who is significantly more durable than any of his guards - spit blood if I recall it correctly. A few strikes and Pitou would be incapacitated. Same would happen to the other ones. Youpi would probably take the longest but at the end, he would end up destroyed as well.

No way the royal guards, even all at the same time, could stand a chance against Netero. They are not at the same level

Nope. Netero would not defeat Pitou without using zero. Even after that it is doubtful. Buy yeah, he can definitely incapacitate Pitou. Pouf is invincible, because of his nen ability. Youpinl is the only one who loses to Netero in a head on fight, mainly because of his speed, given that Netero has enough stamina to go on.
Remeber King was not damaged by Netero's punches at all. We don't know exactly how many it wil take to do some actual damage, and also what is Netero's limit. Also, Pitou might not be as fast as King or as smart, but her ability, teripishcora, especially grants her speed far beyond her natural capacity. Also, she took multiple hits from Gon, who was supposed to be Posing same Ren as King, which means Pitou can tank at least 10 direct hits from King, which tranlates to much more punches Netero was able to deal King before he figured him out. Pitou also has her puppets, which can distract Netero and give Pitou a compensation for lack of speed

Meruen didn't spit blood. I doubt Pitou would get beaten to pulp. My guess is she could still tank Netero's attack with mild damage though she really won't be able to do anything except take consecutive hits from him. It would be a battle of endurance. The first to run out of nen loses
