    To be fluent in any language you must spend years with this language. Language is not only myriad of words, phrases but also music, literature, films, TV shows, law, society, religion, culture and so on...

    • @EnglishAnyone

    This is going to be a good discussion. I do not think it is possible to learn a second language without translation. No, that said, I also believe it is impossible to speak fluently if you translate during a conversation. Wanna talk about it?

    • @EnglishAnyone
      @EnglishAnyone  10 місяців тому +2

      Do you have any basis for your belief, or reason why this would not be possible? If it were not possible to learn a language without translation, you would never learn ANY language. So the truth is you get fluent the more you understand a language as a first language. And of course it's possible to learn a second language without translating because you learn many new languages all the time as a first language, like math, vocabulary for particular professions, etc. Learn English as a FIRST language (without translating) and you will speak fluently. :)

    What if I know all that information and the moment I open my mouth it comes out sounding like english spoken in my native accent?
    I really think speaking is also key

    • @EnglishAnyone
      @EnglishAnyone  Рік тому +1

      Then you probably don't know it as well as you think you do, or you haven't had enough naturally varied review (which includes content that develops your accent). You are welcome to try speaking before you are ready. But you will feel much more confident if you really understand something like a native before you say it. :) Watch this for more: ua-cam.com/video/EQ51oFiLYUg/v-deo.html

    Hello Hello, many thanks from Brazil, I've been watching your youtube class tons of times and, it's my first question here... Please help me on this one. This word sounds confused "oversight" I've found at least two meanings and they are opposite, how can it be possible? I saw: 1) supervision something. 2) neglect something. So, it can changed the whole meaning of a phrase... Help me teacher lol...Thanks

    • @EnglishAnyone
      @EnglishAnyone  2 роки тому

      To "oversee" means to watch people, like as a manager. The past would be "oversaw." But an oversight is a mistake, something you "looked over/past" and didn't notice. You would really benefit from SEEING things like this to understand how they work. Read this: englishanyone.com/visual-guide-to-phrasal-verbs :)
