Visited the USS Massachusetts, in July 2016!! DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE! Stayed on-board for six hours. Read everything. Photographed everything...and everyone on board. Even saw the Boston Pops fireworks from my room at the Bunker Hill Holiday Inn. Best trip in a very long time. Oh. Great video!
Great video of the Battleship USS Massachusetts BB 59 and the rest of the fleet. I visited years ago with my parents. My dad who passed in 2017 at 92 was on the USS Louisville CA 28 from 1943-46 and witnessed (52) sailors and Rear Admiral Theodore Chandler buried at sea due to (3) kamikaze hits in the Pacific. Walking thru the ship with my dad he knew the dept's and how they were used. He still remembered the fast way to go down the steep stairs. (1) main battery 8 inch 55 caliber gun turret was found in Nevada Desert in 2016 and my dad was able to talk to Rob Hoffman who determined the ship it was from. There is a Y-tube of that turret. Thanks for sharing and that sky was beautiful! God Bless our service men and service women - past and present!
Glad you enjoyed it feel free to see my other historic naval warship videos I have a playlist called something similar :-) everything from aircraft carriers to submarines battleships and even cruisers and if you tall ships along the way
