Hi do you know how to do this on the iPad please? I’m trying to copy and paste a radial object from one document to another, but every time I do the pasted radial object gets distorted and looks nothing like the original

for those annoyed at google for always recommending videos instead of a straightforward mf answer: go to artboards, copy the image, paste in new file.

It is with Illustrator, so either Windows or Mac will work, just make sure you have the latest update of Illustrator

This method merges everything into one layer and doesn't move locked items unfortunately. There's no a simple document copy option in Illustrator.

You can copy whole layers and such, but you have to turn this on in the layers panel. Click on the menu top right of the layers panel and then check "Paste Remembers Layers" That should do the trick.

@@Vectortwist Thanks for your reply Simona. Indeed, the layers are pasted after selecting this option, but not everything. There are no guide lines or locked layers, etc. It is safer to just duplicate a file in the system wanting to have the whole thing in my opinion.
