Brilliant Rob really love how you put a no nonsense approach to your subject matter for folk like me to understand and want to have ago. I still, love the perspective low shots on the layout but the drone effect view at night on the town looks like the real deal . I’m going to try out the light kelvin spectrum on my layout and try and get the natural light effect like yours on mine just feels like the UK day light watching your layout on the move. Thanks for sharing your quality content Rob 👍
Hi Phil, it always pays to experiment. You never know what you might discover. Certainly the drone shot has its place. I’m glad you feel as though there might be something in this for you. cheers, Rob
Great tutorial Rob. There are certainly things here that can help me. I do think the aerial shots have their place though, you even used some to good effect in this video. David.
Hi David, Thank you. Yes, there are times the aerial shot can be helpful. For train spotting the eye level shots are best. Seeing the fine details is what I like to see. cheers, Rob
Thanks Rob that video was really useful as there are some very good tips which I shall be using . In fact a tripod adaptor for my phone arrived today . Cheers Kev 👍
Hi Kev, Thank you. I've used several different phone tripod mounts over the years. The plastic ones are too weak, and the 3D-printed ones always break. This last one I got is metal; I have had it for a while now with no problems. Good luck, Rob
@@FarlandHowe It's already helped me...I've made a mental note to make a better effort to film from scale eye level for a more realistic angle. Thanks again!
Thumbs up from Michigan - Good stuff - 📷 👍

Great video I learned a lot and will try it out when I’m ready to start filming my layout ❤
It is about experimenting. Sometimes, when you least expect it, something great comes along. Best of luck, Rob
