Your name will be forgotten, but your death, the death of the Nameless Punner, will be the stuff of legends, a warning to all who would dare tread this path in the future.
It really depends on the table… Critical Roll, f.e., is absolutely not for me. Oxventure, on the other hand… They literally have a speedrun session of 60 minutes, if you’re interested.
This is actually similar to a (presumably) popular podcast type, known as an actual play. It would make a lot of sense, especially with the limited visuals, to release this as a podcast.
These are some of my favorite videos. Working home health it's so nice to listen to this while driving around. Love the longer videos without animation. ... Can't wait to see like a all-star game of Puffin, crit crab, runesmith and jocat to play together.. I'm sure it would get hilarious
So glad you’re doing another of these. I watched/listened to the curse of straad with my kiddos and we love your voices for the various characters. Great work and keep up the amazing videos!
great vid, glad to have you back releasing stories. would love to know as guessing that halfling was the warlock from your strahd campaign as getting same vibes..magic dad etc.
Nana. Once a rogue, always a rogue. Actually wrle have a lot of old and grizzled warrior and cleric type, but it's kinda rare seeing an old person in other occupation/class.
It's amazing the number of problems a character can "solve" with a bit of arson. You also create new plot hooks, which great for an adventuring party! How do you put out a burning building? More fire! "We'll eat up all the fire's oxygen and it'll die!"
To those of you still dming I fucking salute you, because I unfortunately came upon the horrifying realization that DM’s in a lot of communities are starting to charge players just to be a part of their games. Not just a one time fee but per session. So many people have lost the will to be a dungeon master that we have people essentially being bribed to run games. That should not be our standard and creates a whole new breed of entitlement, because now if a player is being an asshole what do you do? They’re paying to be there. Along with just the stress that comes with it being paid now. What do you even do in that scenario? Because now you absolutely have to craft this grand adventure or people do not get their money’s worth, or move on to another literal pay to play game, and now you’re scared to do anything against the player or even make them face the consequences of their stupidity. I didn’t realize how bad the scene of tabletop games had gotten into I stepped back into it for just a moment.
I think you might need better circles of people. Cause... No. If someone is an asshole, you, as the DM, do this magical thing called: _talk to them._ If things can't be fixed... _kick them._ "That's mean!"? If one feels that way, better be content with paying for air and dealing with assholes with no recourse. "But the money!"? Terms. Of. Service. I would offer my service for free... But I have 5 already at present.
I honestly thought Ben said "...the Doom Rapers," rather than "Doom Raiders!" Which would have been doubly strange, since it should have been "Doom Rapists" and not "Doom Rapers." But that's what it sounded like.
Man Tuff’s player sounds like the worst. Like I get we’re getting a skewed perspective, but they just keep constantly getting in the parties way to, what, be funny? Be in character? They sound like a pain.
Honestly? Agreed. Why are they constantly leaving the party? Why are they making it a point to hamstring and work against the party's goals? Why are they setting the building on fire?
@@heirofcarnage1782 Given the fact that Tuff's player is also the player of Asiago and Gouda Thyme I would say that the player's whole play style is "If I am not the center of attention or this scene isn't about whatever my PC wants to do than I need to move the scene to make it about me/My PC is the Main Character who should never face consequences for their decisions", with PCs who are either children or childish adults who any rational party would drop off at the nearest town since it's clear they shouldn't be adventuring given their lack of maturity. Ben seems to be a very forgiving, passive DM when it comes to this kind of shenanigans, which only incentivizes this kind of behavior. While this isn't a problem per say, I can't help but wonder how many headaches this player has caused the party as a whole. Look at the W.O.R.S.T videos where Asiago is front and center, her player is constantly acting in a way that is detrimental to the party as a whole, forces her DM to include an NPC that I am certain wasn't meant to have any relevance to the plot, then has her PC act as a Chaos Gremlin that is constantly getting into shenanigans that could put the party into serious trouble. Things such as: trying to eat the Baby Harp Seals that are protected by angels in heaven, setting any and all she can on fire, using the Deck of Chaos's effect to find another one when the party had had enough of her shit and destroyed it instead of using it to progress the plot, the magic beans and Slaads fiasco. Plus the COS campaign, where Gouda managed to screw that party over a couple times. In fairness, my table runs with a heavy "consequences for actions" playstyle which might be causing me to have a bias, but I do my best to make PCs that work with the party and don't go out of their way to screw over the rest of the party because "LOL random". We as a party may bicker in RP, but will not actively try to derail the plot or each other. Regardless, Tuff's player sounds like a "That Guy" who Ben is too nice to tell to stop and whom the party refuses to have a discussion about.
Anyone else having a Tuff Thyme waiting for videos to be released?
Nope, I’m having a Gouda Thyme!
😜
Straight to jail. All of you. Immediately!
Your name will be forgotten, but your death, the death of the Nameless Punner, will be the stuff of legends, a warning to all who would dare tread this path in the future.
You cheddar believe it
I think i prefer this format over the live play feeds. You get all the good stuff without a 4 hour video. Love these. I wish more people did them.
It really depends on the table… Critical Roll, f.e., is absolutely not for me. Oxventure, on the other hand…
They literally have a speedrun session of 60 minutes, if you’re interested.
I could listen to your stories as a podcast. You must have tons of stories to tell.
Seconded!

Anyone else feel like the doomraiders were one of Ben's previous player parties?

Love your work mate!
How will the players try to destroy the campaign today.
“I’ve got an idea!”...... that would do it.
Puffin's postin' prodigiously!
So many videos lately!
Why do I get the feeling that Tuff, Guda and our favorite hellfire Druid are all the same player?
I think they are.
They are and boshak is definitely probably wren because he loves dogs.
Tuff and Gouda are canonically siblings, so that's for sure a lock for the same player
@@HeinerGunnar gouda thyme and tuff thyme? i just got that

I love that Zumbo is Team Jacob.
It is so great to have these episodes to look forward to! Thank you.
Enjoying these very much, thanks for sharing!
love this - Hope you do more because they are so great to listen to

This is fantastic, thank you.
Making a crappy week better. Thank you.
My commute is almost exactly as long as these videos and I need 2 per day
I think Valiant may have a devil on his shoulder to go with the angle now
The question is is it a right angle or an obtuse one?
@sakurakitsunestar Acute actually. 89 degrees to be specific
the story just keeps getting better
Love your narrating. Just surprised in how low che prices where if it was all the rich people of the place haha

Have any of your groups ever used darkness and it actually helped?
Speaking for all my former games...nope
HYPE!!!!
Congrats you are first
Huh. Only two still images. They seem to be dropping like flies. Was it like this in Strahd?
Yay another part! 🎉
Do I hear another miscast of Darkness in a fight? Your players have a tendency to tip the scales against themselves pretty often!
Wow! I never had players like yours!
