I agree. One doesn't loose the "bond" if they opt to try something different with their hair. In fact, they're more attuned.
I had locs 6 yrs ago. Cut them out because gum got in it. I had a head full at least 80-100 locs. I started a new lic journey August 2020. I was going to have a set of my old hair (yes I saved some of them) re-attached. My natural hair was shoulder length. I decided to wait until 1st yr Anniversary. I'm not feeling going through this ugly stage. I will have them reattached.
