This is a perfect subversion of the expectations. Those staffs look like something you'd expect high priests to have, and to not only have become mics, but to have them be part of the choreography, is an inspired choice.
@@GothGoneWrong The rewritten line is "Infantile sermons, the multitude drools." Tim Rice said he changed it because the original one was a false rhyme (rhyming "fools" with "cool") but I still prefer the original line.
@@nathanw6867 I'm sure a full ProShot is just sitting SOMEWHERE on SOMEONE'S hard drive 😩. It was sooooooo good. I saw it in Boston, I knew the girl who played Mary. It was just INSANELY incredible.
Al inicio dudé mucho des esta interpretación por carecer de movimiento pero luego demuestra un mensaje impactante el de hacer un show de la muerte de jesus por ello el espectaculo sobre la cruz, simplemente inteligente y genial.
Saw this production of the show last night. Having seen it many times before with Ted Neeley my expectations were high. These guys did the show proud. Smaller production so it took a bit more to get the actual picture in my mind that they were trying to convey but the vocals by all the cast were outstanding. Worth seeing again and again.
Have they sort of put Annas in charge here by putting him at the front (even though words stay same) which would be historically accurate if I'm to know my usa friends
Oh gosh can tell from some of these comments that maybe it us Republicans who are really singing Jesus must die. Love is always louder and you cannot ahut it up because the rocks would still sing. Jesus is love, gey some love
So refreshing to hear a genuine bass singing Caiaphas!
I saw it in my hometown it was good and out standing
Oh yes, at last, proper low notes. That's amazing.
There's a genuine bass in the current UK tour, absolutely amazing!
He also has a great high range!
The same guy who did it in the 2000 film

I'm glad this had the line "One thing I'll say for him: Jesus is cool."
Original script had the other line and they changed it on day one 😈
Agreed. I prefer the original line. Never liked the changed lyric
What's the alternative line please?

@@Blokewood3 interesting...to me the original line sounds a thousand times better than the new one false rhyme or not!
dude I would pay an insane amount of money for a pro-shot of this production, yall were SO GOOD
That Ciafas though…..RIGHT?! That freaking voice ❤
Same here. Saw it in Boston. I was blown away. Best show I've seen in years.
EXACTLY
I would too

saw this live in woking (uk) yesterday. watched this to show my dad how insanely good the production of this is! ❤
I saw it in the UK on Thursday, it was wonderful, wasn't it!
I saw this tour before the pandemic. Tyce Green was my absolute favorite of the performance!! This whole song was absolutely amazing!
What I would give to see you perform this show again.
Thank you so much for uploading this! I went to see this earlier this year and could barely find any vids for it
Hello, how are you? I have several complete Video Performances of this Tour. I don't know if you are interested.
This production made me fall in love with the show. I wish I could re-live it with the appreciation I have for it now
Loved this so much... the singing, music and choreography is perfection!
Loved their costumes, kind of toxic masculinity written on their costumes and staffs
Well done! Great rendition of a classic 👌
Cheers from Canada !😃🇨🇦 👍
I just love that they gave choreography to you guys! But also kept it very rigid because well, it speaks to the Pharisees. 😂
I had such an amazing time watching you guys in Chicago, thank you for posting this. ❤️
It was amazing in Mad-Town
Damn, that bass is amazing! Sounds really haunting.
Maybe the best performance I've seen of this song!
Here's hoping this eventually leads to a Broadway or Off-Broadway transfer. Hell, this production style could probably work on a cruise ship.

Just seen a production of this in the UK!
ur vibrato is INSANE dude

I saw y’all in Fort Worth in July you were great!
Would love to see this show again
Best Cahiaphas ever
I saw this in Seattle. It was amazing
I was there too !
Just saw it a couple weeks ago, Caiaphas was really good!
Really wish Judas was any good!
Bro violated that microphone
So good!!
This is wonderful
I saw the version at the Barbican which was a few years earlier, the used the same choreography as here - with the mic staffs etc.
This was the US transfer!! The same team brought it over with an American cast. That’s the Barbican set up there, too. They shipped it over ;)
@@tyce It's the same Caiaphas though I think (Cavin Cornwall)
@@JavertRA different Caiaphas! This is Alvin Crawford. I’m Annas :)
I saw y’all at bass hall in Fort Worth in July y’all were GREAT!!!
@@williamsutcliffe3505 I loved that venue!! so glad u got to see it :)
Wish you guys would do it at the real speed rather than just slowing down every song to make it a 2hr show

love the guy that did the stanky leg
Is there a full recording of this?
me with my mates in karaoke:

It's OK. Give me, Bob Bingham
Don't go. They left out The Resurection at the end. They also casted Jesus as a high-pitched twerp. He didn't get many applauses.
The resurrection isn't part of the story at all, JCS always ends at Jesus' death
The resurection was never part of the show,
Last of 2022? Just saw it yesterday 😅
same, in LA. so good. i think the tour got extended
Hi! We were the original US cast through August 2022. The current tour is a scaled down non-union version of our show with younger performers!!
@@tyce ah yes explains the different actors
@@tyce LOL
