I had the complete set growing up from Thomasville Furniture from 1967. My daughter used it til she got married then then it went into the nursery. My daughter had it professionally mended and sprayed a lovely off white to go with my granddaughters crib that converts into a bed. The best is vintage for sure.
Wow! Just beautiful! I love 1960s-1970s painted furniture like that. Excellent job! I can totally see that as a console. It looks so much more sophisticated now.
Wow, Lisa how beautiful it turned out! I love the hardware I think it looks beautiful on this dresser! Very stylish and adds just enough pop to front! This one will be gone in know time! Gorgeous job! 😊❤
Oh Lisa! It is absolutely gorgeous. Your prep is incredible, I don’t have the skills…or the patience, to do such flawless work. Just amazing, and I adore the drawer liner! Fabulous job as always. ❤❤❤
Wow! On the before, I thought it was too ugly to save. But you did more than save it. Lovely work. I really like your channel- you teach so much as you go along.
When I was a kid in the 60's, I had this exact style of furniture. A single dresser with a mirror and a small chest of drawers with a bookcase/hutch. It was the same shade of yellow your piece is and the top was white Formica with speckles. The handles were white painted solid metal shaped like bamboo. My parents saved the furniture and I used it in the 80's in my babies nursery. I wish I knew then what I know now about vintage furniture because I'm pretty sure I put it out for trash pickup when I was done with it.
Really pretty sideboard! We had our kitchen cupboards spray painted, I had the bottom done in a dark grey and the top in a silver grey! Best thing we did! 😊
I love it! It would go well with a table I bought at the Goodwill this summer which was in bad shape, I gave it a makeover. It turned out beautiful, anyway, I just love faux bamboo and rattan, they are timeless and classic . Well done as always Lisa!!
Woah! So beautiful. I LOVE the hardware. Also, the info about the sprayer is really informative. You always do a great job, and you didn’t disappoint! ❤️ Also love the blue & white chinois vases for the presentation.
Love the design choices you made with the hardware and liner. Got me thinking that maybe I should add some paper to the drawers on a couple dressers I have that haven’t sold for a while. Beautiful as always!❤
I don’t think you can go wrong using the 1k poly for any projects or your cabinets. I brushed and rolled my bathroom cabinets with it last year and managed to get a smooth finish. I had to be careful not to brush over after I laid it down because it did dry so quickly. The dresser looks amazing!
I believe its by Henry Link. He was known for his Bali Hai faux Bamboo furniture back in the day. I actually have the two matching nightstands that go with the this exact style dresser
Gorgeous! I love the white but could see it in black, dark blue or burgundy as well. In my early teens, my mom bought an estate sale dresser for me that was in the same yellow color and similar style as yours. It didn't have a makers mark either. I'm guessing it was from the 60s? Beautiful work, as always!
Ha! Right?! Command is great for furniture. I’d say Command and Wise Owl are great for durability. I haven’t tried Sherwin Williams Gallery, but I hear it’s comparable. The ICRO is the best I’ve used so far. I think it’s most suitable to cabinetry, high traffic furniture pieces, or furniture pieces that you plan on shipping.
Hope you and your family had a lovely Thanksgiving. I have a dresser similar to this, from when I was kid. My mom has an entire bedroom set like it, but ours is wood and real bamboo😊😊. Love what you did❤
@ivylane-home lol, my momma does for sure. I've bought everything since I've moved on my own in thrift shops. Especially after I had kids, (if it got destroyed by sticky fingers or coloring no worries).
The piece turned out beautifully! I noticed that the bottom drawer pulls were lower than the others. I wonder if they had two different kinds of pulls on it originally?
have you ever heard of the paint brand Dixie Bell? There is a girl on utube who has her own channel and that is the only paint she uses. It hasn't let her down and is very durable. She says she won't use any other paint.
I have heard of it, but it’s not as high quality as this paint. It’s more like Fusion and Melange. They are good paints for certain applications, but I was testing this one specifically for cabinetry.
I have one of these bamboo pieces, a console. One of the things I like best is the pecky nature of the finish, with all the little indentations, as if a bird pecked it. And you got rid of that. Your piece looks nice, but I think it's a shame to smooth it out.
You didn’t even consider making the drawers inside and out look good. Sand down the drawers; the parts of the drawers no one sees and use something like Howard’s Feed and Wax. A true refinisher cares about all parts not just the outside visible parts. Putting in contact paper on the bottom and leaving the sides looking poorly is just careless on your part.
If you watch some of her other videos, you’ll see that she does take care of this detail. She is quite meticulous and cares a lot about her work and even cares about her words in the kind way she chose to respond.

I love the Thomasville version. Vintage is always best 🤩

I think so too! Thanks Charlene. 🤩🙌🏼
It is only when you see the before and after that you can truly appreciate the transformation of this piece. Superb! Well done. 👍😁
The fill and paint were the star of the show. In person, it’s SO good! 😊🙌🏼
I always enjoy seeing your choice of drawer liners. You never disappoint me! Another beautiful job!
Aw, thanks Laurie! It’s like a little surprise inside 🤩
Wow, Lisa how beautiful it turned out! I love the hardware I think it looks beautiful on this dresser! Very stylish and adds just enough pop to front! This one will be gone in know time! Gorgeous job! 😊❤
Aw, thanks Pam! I hope so! 😊
This piece started out as the kind of bamboo furniture I hate, but you turned into something special. Beautiful work!
Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
Wow!! Very nice. When it was that horrible yellow I thought, I DUNNO ABOUT THIS ONE!!
Thanks Cathy!! 🙌🏼🤩
Oh Lisa! It is absolutely gorgeous. Your prep is incredible, I don’t have the skills…or the patience, to do such flawless work. Just amazing, and I adore the drawer liner! Fabulous job as always. ❤❤❤
Aw, thanks Lisa! This paint made it seem easy 🤩
Wow! On the before, I thought it was too ugly to save. But you did more than save it. Lovely work. I really like your channel- you teach so much as you go along.
This paint made all the difference. It’s definitely my best paint job to date!

Well, you had very stylish furniture 😊🙌🏼
Really pretty sideboard!

Thanks Lesley! I have a phase 1, 2, and 3 in mind for my kitchen 😬
Wow! That is so beautiful! I really love the way this piece turned out!
Thanks Julee!!
I love it! It would go well with a table I bought at the Goodwill this summer which was in bad shape, I gave it a makeover. It turned out beautiful, anyway, I just love faux bamboo and rattan, they are timeless and classic . Well done as always Lisa!!
I love bamboo too! Classic and timeless, indeed! Thanks, Edna!! 🤩
It's beautiful I love it ❤
Thank you! 😊

Thank you! It’s amazing what a good paint and sprayer can do. 🙌🏼😊
I love Chinoserie 💙
You made it beautiful again! Well done m'lady!
Thanks, Kay!! 🤩🙌🏼
So glad to hear about this paint. Now im gonna go spend money 😂
Ha! It’s even better than Command and Wise Owl. 😬😉
This is stunning in classic white 😊
White is hard to beat 🤩🙌🏼
Turned out beautiful Lisa! But OMG I need to get that nail cutter wrench thingy!
Thanks Kai!! It’s the little things 🙌🏼
You are right, beautiful finish
Thank you, Debbie! 🤩
Love the design choices you made with the hardware and liner. Got me thinking that maybe I should add some paper to the drawers on a couple dressers I have that haven’t sold for a while. Beautiful as always!❤
It’s a funny thing. People love the liners. Go figure. I usually always put them in painted pieces 🤷♀️
@@ivylane-homeyeah I feel like they fit better with painted pieces, too. I’ll add it to my to do list.😅

What brand did you use?
Beautiful work. Great transformation!
Thank you so much! ☺️
Beautiful job 👌🏻 , if I wanted to paint it for myself I would go red ! , but it’s me .
Very clean and detailed job 👍🥰
Red is a bold choice! ❤️ Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
Great transformation! I’m looking to do my cabinets next year as well and that paint looks promising. Looking forward to your next project. ❤
Thanks! The paint is SO good and I have tried a lot of paints!
I believe its by Henry Link. He was known for his Bali Hai faux Bamboo furniture back in the day. I actually have the two matching nightstands that go with the this exact style dresser
I wish it was a Henry Link, but I couldn’t find any markings on it. 🤷♀️
Beautiful
Thank you ☺️
Just gorgeous!
Thanks Cheryl! 😊🙌🏼
Another awesome job! 🎉🎉
Thanks Marilyn! 🤩
Es un mueble precioso. Gracias por compartirlo.
My pleasure 🤩
Wow, it’s beautiful Lisa, what a great before and after. I’m super impressed too!
Thanks Lesley! 😊🙌🏼

Oh yes, I know it would be beautiful in lots of different colors. Colors are so hard to choose! 😊🙌🏼
😍😍😍
🤩🙌🏼
Beautiful!
Thanks! 😊
Hi Lisa! You got me hooked on BM’s Command…now you are raving about this ICRA paint? How do they compare?
Ha!
Love what you did❤
Your family has great taste in furniture, Michelle! 😊🙌🏼
@ivylane-home lol, my momma does for sure. I've bought everything since I've moved on my own in thrift shops. Especially after I had kids, (if it got destroyed by sticky fingers or coloring no worries).
Ha, so true! 😅
The piece turned out beautifully! I noticed that the bottom drawer pulls were lower than the others. I wonder if they had two different kinds of pulls on it originally?
Maybe 🤔
Beautiful. The paint color was Winter Wisp? Thank you.
Thanks Pamela! It was White Wisp by Ben Moore
If you don't need an air compressor, what makes the sprayer work?
Great refinish.
It has a separate motor that is two turbines. You plug the unit into the electrical outlet and then you plug your gun into the unit. It's great!
Like it
Me too 😊
❤
🤩🙌🏼
So, did you use the ICRO paint, or Benjamin Moore paint?
Yes, this is ICRO paint. The color was a Benjamin Moore color.
I stripped one of these down. There was veneer and some solid wood. The wood was beech, and very dull. This furniture was meant for paint.
For sure! 😊🙌🏼
Can you list the sprayer brand
It’s a Wagner Earlex 5700. I have all the products linked in the description, but here’s the link to the sprayer. urlgeni.us/amzn/earlex
What is the name of the paint please
This is White Wisp by Benjamin Moore

Ha, that’s funny. I didn’t like the pits. I didn’t think it fit the style of the piece. Everyone is different 🤷♀️

A true refinisher cares about all parts not just the outside visible parts. Putting in contact paper on the bottom and leaving the sides looking poorly is just careless on your part.
Woah…what a ray of sunshine you are.
Yes, I’ll give them a nice sand and conditioning before I list it for sale 🙌🏼😊

Such positivity. 😮 Watch her other videos. Her attention to detail is great. Love the paint job! Don’t you love the haters at their keyboards.
