bruce and rick gave a similar interviw at this time in berlin,i recorded it and gave it to john weller, john played i on the tour bus for paul and then did an inteview with the nme who was touring with him at the time, weller was not to complementry about the book i did get my name into the nme which i have still got...happy days
At the end of the day, Paul wanted to leave the band coz he was the one who was writing most of the songs, and writing all the big hits throughtout 1977 to 1982, Bruce wrote about 5 songs, and Rick didnt write any, they pretty much just played bass and drums, no offense to either of them, they are very talented musicians, but not as talented as Paul, so Paul had every right to call it a day, and move on, and do something completely different, there was a huge amount of pressure put on him thoughout the jam years, and its also a shame that Bruce and Rick took Paul and his Dad to court for unpayed song writing royalties, so its not a suprise that that would have made things worse. But its still nice to know that Paul and Bruce are good friends again now!!
I personally believe there is more to the reason why Paul has never spoken to Rick since 1983. Something that no one except themselves will ever know.
EM176 probably that haircut.
Cool interview the pony tail is pure class 🤣

respec to Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler.
there were 3 people in The Jam and 2 of them were not Paul Weller
Yeah, but Weller was the Jam cos he wrote all the tunes. Buckler and Foxton were passengers and could have been anyone.
@@Edward1312 That's not how it works
Fucking bullshit Bruce and Rick were important parts of The best band ever .
