The period that starts with Knightfall, going to Cataclysm, then No Man's Land and finishing in the early 2000 with Bruce Wayne: Fugitive, and not only Batman and
Detective Comics, but including Robin, Catwoman, Batgirl, NightWing, Azrael, and even Bird of Prey and Green Arrow (Connor Hawke) has to be my favorite Batman era.
The era I grew up on. Classic stuff in here. Right after Bruce Wayne murder and fugitive is another all time classic: “hush”
Morrison, Snyder, Loeb, and Dixon are my favorite writers for Batman

Reversing the dynamic duo's...er...dynamic (a broody Robin and a brighter Batman) was a brilliang move. I enjoyed it very much while it lasted. :)
Everyone should check out Batman #700 for a single-issue story emblematic of Morrison's run. "What can we beat but never defeat?"
The most fun I ever had reading comics was when Morrison’s Batman 700-702, the last arc of Batman and Robin, and The Return of Bruce Wayne were all coming out at the same time.

Morrison is responsible for both one of the greatest Batman era's and X Men eras and his All Star Superman is amazing
And his Doom Patrol.And JLA. And his complete retcon of Animal Man. And that's just his licensed characters. Invisibles is epic. Seven Soldiers. WE3.The Filth. The Authority. Even Zenith and Big Dave.
Batman and Robin by Grant Morrison was the last comic book series I bought, and it was great fun. I'll pick up the Absolute edition soon.
When it comes to King's run, I don't think DC were so much afraid of change as they were just afraid of Batman being outsold by The Hulk lol.
Is that why Batman had a crossover with the Hulk? X_x

Irving Ramirez I’m only on the 5th volume. I’ve heard his run gets shitty later on, but I haven’t read a volume (from his run) that I didn’t enjoy. Night of the Monster Men was uninteresting; never finished it.
I wouldn't say it gets shittier but it just seems to start taking a few more issues to get to the point later on

Everything Batman was in the New 52 was perfect in my opinion whether it was Batman Eternal, Superheavy, or the Court of Owls everything was so good

I couldn't agree with you more. I recently grabbed Morrisons Batman & Robin and thought it was a great run.
I loved Batman Incorporated: DC really dropped the ball on that one.
Scott Snyder had a very good run. I loved Endgame and I'm happy that they(Scott and Greg) are getting to write their version of final Batman adventure.
My personal favorite is the Snyder/Capullo run. It was short compared to some, but it created the best new villain, The Court of Owls, in a long time. I do love the Morrison run though.

Bang, you’re dead on right. Morrison’s run is not only the best Batman but it might just be the best superhero run. It’s not only rereadanle, but it actually gets better upon rereads. Morrison is a complicated writer and so you have to do some work to fully get what’s going on, not only on the main text but subtext too. It’s like Grant Morrison was born to write Batman.
How was Morrison run brief it lasted from 2006-2013

Honestly it seems a lot of people haven’t read Alan Grant’s Batman run or they would see he is the premier Batman writer. He understood the mood and the mythos. Morrison’s run was good and I love how he incorporated the forgotten silver age material and created new villains but his dialogue/story telling is sooooo tryhard pretentious “Tarantinoesque”.
This was a great run, I get why it had it's critics but overall I think it was great work. It wasn't just putting Batman in a story with a great plot but also great character work so much was explored personal which can be hard to do in comics. Also it was great having a cow in the cave 😃
And legends of the dark knight was a great series, extremely underrated.

The Black Mirror made me realize something Batman. It’s incredibly EASY to figure out his identity.
We got damien wayne,professor pyg,the flamingo,simon hurt,batman inc.,2 scallop gauntlets,that ill batmobile that can fly but still is limited by it's advantages

Snyder’s and Morrison’s are definitely top 2, which is funny considering they were the most recent.
So when was the last time DC made a change to a character or the world that mattered and didn't get undone? Because I really haven't seen it if they have.
