In this video, We take a look on one of the most realistic dragster concepts so far!
The coaster will have a vertical spike up to 500 Feet, the track will be 3778 meters long.
During the ride, you will experience the airtime 2 times forward and ones backwards, everytime with different g-forces!

This so far looks like the most realistic Re-imagining I’ve seen so far. I honestly could see them doing this.
Thanks man, all the nice words are giving me a lot of motivation!
the airtime on that spike would be insane
Yeah, it would be around 5 a 7 seconds of airtime
Wouldn’t it just be weightlessness?
@@First-Drop-Studios yes, because since its a 90 degree drop, you will experience that you will get forced out of your seat straight down for a longer time. The spike of voltron for example will have around -0,1 till -0,3g
@@Casper.CoasterCreator that’ll be insane then. 7 seconds!
That trip up and down the spike looks like it would be a much more intense version of the sensation on those swinging pirate ship rides.
Sounds like an awsome experience right!
This is the exact layout that I've been thinking ever since the footers were dropped. Definitely think this is over a 90% chance of being it.
Yeah, lets hope this would be the official lay out!
Talk about terrifying. Imagine looking straight down at 500 feet in the air
yeah, that would be the moment you see your entire life passingt through before going back down
@@Casper.CoasterCreator 😂😂
I'll fly in to ride this ..The SPIKE !!!! ❤
The spike will likely become between 350ft and 400ft instead of 500, due to the high restriction of 420 (the current tophat) and there is no permission so far to extend the height limit
I honestly think this is pretty much what it'll be. you also named it Polaris which was one of the names cedar fair had in mind for Orion at King's Island. Good stuff! 👍
Yeah, we choosed Polaris since Cedar has still trademarked it
Best case scenario I think. I just pray for a straight spike instead of curved.
Hello buddy, nice to see you here! I agree with the straight spike. that weightless drop will be insane!
With the footers now installed it has to be this they are planning.
Will come from the UK if it is. Did it 10 years ago, but need to take 2 flights…it will be worth it tho
You can actually fly from London Heathrow to Cincinnati now on British Airways. It's like one flight a day though and it is only a few days a week. While you're at it visit Kings Island too! They are less than 4 hours apart.
Can't wait to see how the coaster turns out!
@@bigblueamusementproductions oh wow, I never knew this. Will look into it.. did Kings Island last time I went and drove there and back to cedar point.
It’s perfect!! If even close to this it’s gonna be an incredible ride.
Thanks you man so much, it give me a lot of motivation! Hope to see you back in the comments on my next video's
Sick 🤘
Nice🎉🎉🎉
Honestly the most realistic and best concept POV I've seen so far.
I have seen another concept that was very similar and I agree. Switch track, launch up the top hat, rollback, reverse launch up the reverse 400 ft.Spike then launched over the top hat with MAYBE a few airtime hills mixed in before, and or after the top hat
Thanks man for the nice words, realy gives me motivation!
Well done
Thanks man for the nice words and hope to see you back in the future for later vids!
@Casper.CoasterCreator
I think your design is pretty close. I must admit, I'm getting old. I don't know if I'll have the courage to ride it.
This is likely spot on, nice work. Very exciting!
Thanks man for your awsome comment, it motivates me a lot!
This is what I had in mind since begging..but the reverse spike twisted.. every thing else spot on..💯💯👍👍🔥🔥
Yeah, everyone loves the twisted spike concept, however, the footers are not in the correct placement for that
Nice!
Thanks for the nice comment! We'll keep up the nice work and deliver even nicer content!
Looks epic 😮😮
Thanks man!! Nice to see your name in the comments
We haven't decided on a name yet.
So far we have either Polaris, Dragon lightning, Dragster Reborn, or Quimera. Also taking suggestions.
Ty
Excellent job! Very impressive. But the switch track will engage AFTER the Ridders are off, let me explain.
We decided it'd be safer to launch the riders up the west side of the top hat first, and over the top, down the east side. That insures not such a long wait time.
Then we speed through the old station up a "beyond vertical spike" about 120 degrees.
That's the record we're going for, the height of the spike.
Then when we go back down we stop at an exit station, and the train switch after you get off and back to the start.
Those two bunny hills are in there, great representation of the ride!!!! We enjoy watching what you guys come up with
How’d you know all this
could be a really nice lay out!
Great work - I think this prospect looks likely in most every regard. If there is going to be a "spike", I hope it is as you have imagined it: BIG, vertical (90 degrees), and straight down (no stupid spiral), to give you the true sense of a downward roller coaster drop.
Yeah, I really liked that big drop on the spike as well! Big shoot out to Dustin from escape design for designing it!
that spike would be insane holy shit
500ft high, a coaster and drop tower combined..
Dang. Someone took some time on this animation. Nicely done!!!
Thank you man for the nice words! Stay tunned for more concepts!
This would be the biggest upgrade hands down world class coaster if this concept were realized.
Sorry man, There have been a few updates between the uploads two weeks ago and now. I will release an updated video this sunday
Now we know the roll back will only be from like 180 ft up, and there's no hill on the launch. Wasted potential.
My god, you probably pull ejector airtime on the full top hat go-round! Can’t imagine how terrifying that would be, especially after the rollback and 500-foot spike
It will be a bit terrifying! You will experience -1,2g ...
Idk if it's just me, but I think the pullout on the spike is a little too tight for how high the spike is. Also I doubt we see an airtime hill on the launch. I think we're looking at a straight launch like Soaring with Dragon in China. I also am doubting the hump after the drop as the old supports from the brake run are still intact. I'd love to be wrong though! Great concept!
TBH, I was kinda hoping there'd be no airtime hill. The one on KK is crap, never got any air on it.
This one would give -0,6G on the backwards hill, so it would be a nice add on + intamin has used a airtime hill a lot for triple launch coasters. We will see!
@@Coasterdude02149 helps capacity
That would be wicked!
It will be..it will be!!
Very good job!
Thank you! I am really happy with all the nice comments!
Wow! Would probably feel like you were in space with the time spent on that spike...
You will experience 0g for around 6 or 7 sec, depends on which seat
@@Casper.CoasterCreator Wow!
That would work!
It will, I really hope it will become this concept :)
This is the precise layout we need. Escape Designs did this a couple weeks ago also and I got so excited when I saw it, I like yours equally and I just hope CF do this, I really do.
It will make it a beyond elite coaster, a WW must do for all coaster lovers.
Hi man! This project was a collaboration with Escape Designs, so it is the same park. I was the one that did the cinematic part. Never the less, thank you
@@Casper.CoasterCreator That makes sense now lol.
No problem! Also, let me know after sunday what you think of the updated version!
@@Casper.CoasterCreator Oh ok, really looking forward to it! Is this still a guess/hope or something based on actual rumours?
@@Casper.CoasterCreator Also can I suggest, PLEASE, to include a back seat POV at the end of the vid? I just wanna feel the full height of that rear spike. If you can of course.
I'd like to see a longer video showing off more of the surrounding area you built.
Escape design will publish a longer vid later this week 👌🏻
Spot on
Thank you man for all the nice words! Really gives me motivation
Some people are saying this will be the exact layout, not exactly I think the spike will be a smaller and the layout will be longer than what people think almost like Velociacoaster/Pantheon. The reason why I think this is the Forbidden Frontier removal and just how long thus project is taking it just feels like it’s going to be bigger..
I would love to see a longer dragster, but looking on the latest footers, I think it will be a spike
@@Casper.CoasterCreator Fr it would be pretty awesome. That could be the case, but this is a two year project and maybe they haven’t put footers elsewhere yet..
That will be fantastic! I will keep an eye on it
@@Casper.CoasterCreator I’m sure no matter what that we will all find out by August !
If this what it becomes I think this would be the best ride in the world.
Sorry, but there is new footage what shows some updates. I will post an updated video this sunday
I went to Cedar Point on Wednesday and got to see what they were doing. If you wait in the Iron Dragon line, you can see the track taken out in the launch area and the station area, so I can definitely see these changes happening.
This lay out would be awsome!
I think it's two top hats facing each other. One being 500 feet. Polaris, polarities, magnets, hence the logo that looks like a magnet. Two polarities. Two top hats.
Thats far forward thinking. Like the idea and it would be awesome if you were right
love it
Thanks man for the nice words, really gives me motivation!
@@Casper.CoasterCreator no prob!
This is fucking amazing
Thanks man, I am so happy with all the nice comments!
That is amazing.
Thanks for the nice words man, hope to see you back in the commets for future video's!
Ngl this would have been so cool
Yeah, I am still in love with the concept!
I feel like it would take a long time in between trains, and with the long line... idk
A train would leave the station around each 40 seconds, so the capacity would be fine
The only other variance i could see is a twist track on the spike but this is great and more than likely what we will see
based on the footers, a twisted spike isn't possible. sorry for that news
This is the perfect concept. I just hope the racing theme stays.
The racing theme will always stay iconic and awsome as well!
Just imagine how terrifying it will be if we really do get a 400+ft rear vertical spike. I mean that's legit a bit nerve racking. I would say, that if they do this IRL, it will be more than twice the height of Pantheon's rear spike! I've been on over 600 coasters and I know I would pee a little lol. Yes I have been on tower of Terror in reverse at Dreamworld many years back and Superman at SFMM in reverse also. And going up the vertical towers of those rides backwards indeed WAS fun, but there's a big but........ Even though they are (were, in the case of TOT) near 400 ft, they really only go up half way. TOT in particular was really bad in the last 7 ish years of its life. This TTD would be completely different and go up high and fast. So something that actually shoots up 400 feet as the ground disappears below you, IS really nerve racking, especially the first time.
Let's imagine what it would be like in reality if it happens like this concept here:
1) floater over the first launch hump forwards
2) Weightlessness half way up the top hat to the top and half way down
3) Reverse flojector on the launch hump backwards
4) Intense weightlessness this time on the vertical spike
5) Likely ejector now on the final forwards launch
6) Sustained floater over top hat, hopefully speed is good so there's ejector in the back seat on descent or ejector for all seats actually.
7) Very sustained floater for all over the final hill into the brakes.
Heaven!
Than, it will become pretty close to heaven
That blue and orange pieces seen at Intamin are for a different project. Too wide for the old structure. Probably the fast & furious universal coaster since the colors match it’s concept
You are correct. Likely for Drift
We will see, I am pretty sure both coasters would be awsome
queue times would be insanely long, dare I say more?
Thats not because of the loading time. Each 30 second, a train will leave the station
part of me wishes that these animations aren’t as accurate as they probably are because the amount of Gs pulled looks absurd!
The g-forces are within the limits. At this spike height, the most is 4.9g for 0.4 seconds. If the spike gets lower, it will be less extreme.
really dope hope its like this if its not twisted
A twisted spike if not an option looking to the footers, so you will get what you want, 500 meters of looking straight down! :)
I know it wont happen but it would be sick if there was a holding brake up there on the spike
That would be awesome! A coaster and freefall in one!
I’m gonna miss dragsters explosive launch.
We all do!! 😥
I shit my pants looking down from that spike
I hope you dont have the back row than:)
its gonna start reversing onto the spike first
That would be awesome! The only question than is, how tall will the spike become?
@@Casper.CoasterCreator dont know, we’ll have to see
Imagine that switch track not working 👀
If it doenst work, the train cant go to the launch, or the next train cant enter the transfer. It will always be safe
@@Casper.CoasterCreator yeah, I’m sure it would be safe haha. Just thinking lmao
Yeah. No switch track would be cleaner. But then we'd have to change the spike into .......an immelmann....
Yeah, dont see that happening, also in terms of capacity
While this is a cute concept, that is all this will ever be. If you have been to the park recently, you would know what's still standing and how it wouldn't work into this concept.
This concept is based on what they could do, they can still change some parts. I havent been to Cedar point myself, since its a 14 hour flight for me, but its on my buckedlist!
I love that it makes it almost over the top hat so you can get a proper rollback. What is the max vertical gs? It looks extremely intense
Max is 4,8 and -1,4 (back row on the tophat)
@@Casper.CoasterCreator that’s some strong airtime! Definitely would be a top 4 at CP!
Yeah, it will be for a very short time
Let’s all just hope Intamin does the retrofit
Yeah, I thing a lot of people are hoping for it!
needs a loop on the brake run side
I dont hope so with all the gforces 😳
They had enough problems with launching on a flat surface before hopefully they fix these problems. Now they have to get over the hill before they actually go up.
Yeah, if I am right, that was due some technical problems, the LSM wouldnt have this problems
How do you Mack the ‘track coaster’ move on the transfer when you make a coaster with custom trains? I can only make it so the invisible track moves
I onze downloaded a syn block that connects the movement of the frozen track to the movement of the unfrozen track. I believe it was posted in the nlc server on discord
The spike won’t be over 500 feet. I expect it to be around 460 feet to just beat out king da ka
Yeah, I made an updated version, with a 375ft tall spike
What will be the height ?
The heigest point will be on the spike, around 515ft for the backrow
I dont think there is enough space overall for that first hill...the total length of the ground area is not long enough..
Hey man, I posted an updated lay out last saturday. Let me know whay you think of that lay out!
@@Casper.CoasterCreator OK. :)
Decently thrilling launches? Check.
True roll back from the top? Check.
Airtime hills? Check.
400' up the rear spike? Check.
Cedar Point: No! No! No! No!
🥲
I dont think the spike will be a straight 90 degrees tho. It will probably be twisted.
It will be a normal spike and not twisted because of the triangle spike footers and the direction and placement of the point of the triangle spike footers
What are the G-Forces like on that vertical spike? It seems a little tight.
0g till 4,8g (very short spike, but still realistic)
@@Casper.CoasterCreator Definitely cutting it close but with this kind of ride that's to be expected.
It would be an awsome experience!
What’s the song name?
It's made with an AI music generator called soundraw.
Whats the speed of each launch ?
the first one is 168 km/u, 104 mph, the second one is 182 km/u, 113 miles per hour and the last one is 180 km/u, 11 miles per hour. The second one is the fastest to reach the spikes 500ft high
After seeing the twisted spike I feel like the spike just has to be twisted. The flat spike just doesn't feel right.
I can understand you completly, however, than we would have seen different footers
I want a straight spike! More intense
So is the spike 500 foot, or is it taller than 500 foot.
the zero car would need to clear 500ft for it to be a 500ft coaster
The zero car reaches 502 foot, the spike is 525 totally
How fast is the 1st launch?
Probably around 95 mph
168 km/u, 104 mph, you were very close!
What about 2nd?
the second one is 182 km/u, 113 miles per hour and the last one is 180 km/u, 11 miles per hour. The second one is the fastest to reach the spikes 500ft high
Is it slower than Top Thrill Dragster?
I think launch humps are a huge buzzkill, nearly all Ive ridden ruin a good launch
Which one has you been on so far?
I hope this is real
Lets hope together!
I am visiting Cedar Point soon. I am looking for someone who enjoys roller coasters. If interested, then respond to this message.
Not me, It would be a 16 hour flight
Sucks it's actually a watered down version of this
Yeah, The lay out had more potentiël than what were getting
OH HELL NO
Oohh, HELL YES ;)
I see meny lawsuits incoming if something goes worng
No, because nothing cant go wrong. The switch track will not before the train is over the tophat with the back row
Cool but the g forces would end ppls lives
No, the g-forces stay between 4,8g (very short time) and -1,1g (on the tophat)
Guys this is stupid. People want cedar point to tear down thrill rides and build family rides and restaurant instead, like the new wild mouse. They should tear this ride down and build a new restaurant.
thats what Im sayin fr
tbh, wild mouse is a trip. my kids love it. and the grand pavilion/boardwalk revamp is a nice addition. they're giving us new restaurants, new family rides, new thrill rides... now just need to revamp some bathrooms...
Cedar could really use a family location/area, however, due to the popularity, I dont see them closing dragster
Personally....I find it lame. I dont like stopping and going backwards and it would have been phenomenal to add a second launch and bigger second tophat. P H E N O M E N A L
I can understand that you would like that, however, the new footers are looking lije they are for a spike
The Polaris trademark did expire Years ago and would need to be trademarked NOW if the name change
I know. I choosed the name polaris since it was trademarked and there were rumors of a sci-fi theme
Unfortunately it wont be like this. This is what would be game changer for cedar point again. But according to the latest news no bunny hill airtime hill on the way down. Just the spike. But man what great job on this!
