It’s a cluster jewel, a type of item added in 3.11 which allows you to expand your tree based on the mods of the cluster. Excellent build. Just switched over from EA ELementalist and really enjoying this build. Quick question; how important are the endurance charges for survivability would you say? The grand spectrum jewel is 7-8 Divines...
They definitely help. Endurance charges stack well with your armor/determination and help with physical survival, since our HP pool is not huge. You don't have to invest into them early though. Also: yikes. My jewel costed a divine early.
@@NeverSink I’ve got everything else online so and I could use a bit more survivability so I think I will just bite the bullet as I’ve almost got enough for that as well, even at the overly inflated price
No longer seems necessary. I've already improved the build over the current iteration. Alt orb of storms + awakened chain magnifies clearing IMMENSLY. It marks every mob on screen effectively. On top of that the new setup is about at about ~13M shaper DPS. This basically nukes the whole screen from orbit and oneshots many rares as well. I'll stream/make an update VOD later.
@@markototev I played around with that, but it didn't seem very useful - we also lack the gem slots. It's probably only usable right now with voltaxic-overshock combos.
my ES leech dies during single target fights. how does your ES stay up? besides the ES leech mastery, i even took nodes for ES leech and have ES leech on flasks.
You run overshock if you scale your ailments with damage. Elementalists receive minimum shock/chill effect that scales with ailment effectiveness. So: minimum shock for ele is 15%, with 100% any damage you'll inflict will be shocking for 30%. This scaling allows HUGE shocks/chills against endgame bosses, that are otherwise really hard to shock/chill well.
I'm confused about something. You say at @ 7:00 that you will always shock a boss for 65% and it doesn't matter what the damage is. How? Shaper of Storms only guarantees that you'll shock for at least 15%. You still need to do high damage to bosses to get it to 65%. You can scale all the shock effectiveness or ailment effectiveness you want, it isn't going to matter if your hit is too low and isn't overcoming the boss's ailment threshold. Unless they changed how the game fundamentally works, could you explain that statement. Doesn't Lightning Conduit's multiplier depend on the amount of shock on the monster, not what you potentially can do.
@@NeverSink I'm pestering this because I find this aspect of the game thoroughly confusing. From what I understand, I could have 400% increased effect of shock, and what that means is that I can do less damage in order to shock the enemy. That damage is also tied into the amount of shock. From what I can tell in PoB, you have a 450% increased effect of shock. This means against Sirus, you would need to hit him for 300,000 damage in order to obtain a 65% shocking hit. Is this wrong (which I'm sure it is), and please explain how this does work.
I think i just figured it out. Because we're always applying a shock, regardless of the damage, we just need to scale the ailment effectiveness, but NOT shock effectiveness (because shock effectiveness has to do with lowering the hit threshold to achieve shock). So we can hit for 1 damage, apply 15% shock, increase shock effectiveness, get to 65%. Is that really right?
@@BryanBBryan It is right. We can scale the MINIMUM shock/chill/ailment effect. This type of scaling is exclusive to the elementalist and "ground effects" though (such as shocked ground). All other classes that use direct hits depend on the damage they deal.
Hey, I am playing this right now and made some currency to invest. I am wondering what the drawbacks and strengths for going for your style build with Annihilating light vs the one with Thunder Fists and Doryani Armour. Wondering about direction as I'll likely play this skill all league
Check out m latest vid/update on the guide. ~14M shaper DPS, while being immune to ailments, lethe shade, reducing enemy damage+speed by ~40% and capped spell supression are the benefits. Doryani's/Thunderfist are very powerful, but I wouldn't go for either with elementalist. On our current setup we have around 80-100% lightning pen/exposure/reduction and elmenetalist doesn't need any help dealing strong shocks.
Also sorry for my lack of understanding. I get the call of the void benefits of corpse destruction, but doesn't enemies also chilling you hurt too much? I'm also wondering how you are leeching life with your setup? Do you rely of flask?
@@kamilskorzewski8298 Purity of elements makes you chill immune. I use a large cluster with Doryani's Lesson + Corrosive Element for life leech and exposure appciation.

Thank you for this, really informative. I’m going for it, will also check your stream for eventual future updates.
I love how the +1 endurance charge Grand Spectrum costs as much as his entire claimed build cost. Good old PoE community gate keeping uniques.
Well, it only drops from lab. This is what made it so rare/expensive. That should be your last upgrade.

btw you can get corpse destruction from divergent LC
Yep! Though, call of the void damage reduction seems too good to ignore.
Yap! But it's harder to reach level 21 this way and we also get corpse destruction from call of the void.

Awesome, check out the update onto the build I'll post today.
What give you rampage on the map? I don't see that you added on the map device or a item
It's a kill counter from the beam cosmetic ( helmet) from latest mystery box
So that round group of nodes above the jew socket near eldritch battery does not show up on my skill tree. Why is that?

small cluster jewel, look at the POB
Do you plan on using Inpulsa for more shock and better clear or?

Don't overly maximize your cast speed and get yourself decent ES/EV gear. Currently I'm sitting at 1000ES. With 800+ you can play quite comfortably.

How do you deal with self chill from Call of the Void?
Putity of elements (combined with lethe shade to make the most out of it)
BUT cast then dmg taken + molten shell wont work
Of course it works. Make sure molten shell is not a higher level than cwdt.

Ailment effectiveness scales the 15%. So with 100% ailment effectiveness you apply a 30% shock.
