Exactly what I had in mind, the bed is ok for 1 person. I love the idea in general, very good and smart use of space, except for the the countertop IMO is too wide for the limited space, I'd make it much smaller for more bed space.
Love it! We drew out a very similar design but decided we wanted a whole mattress. It’s so great to be able to see this design come to life! Thanks for sharing!
You guys did a nice job on Tracey! I am converting a Blue 2010 FTC XLT myself. They are great vehicles, but alas 2 seaters and you guys want to have a family! There are larger vans with extra seats for a car seat as well. Best of Luck on your Adventures!
Nice job. I never really thought about making a shelf for the stove on the door. I'm looking to build a sleeper travel van with light cooking for road trips. The main concern I've been looking at is front to back sleeping. This would work for me. I've been looking for ideas and how to incorporate them in different van scenarios (ie: Promaster City, Ford Transit, Grand Caravan, Toyota Sienna, etc) Thank you for this detailed tour of your van. It's one of the neatest and cleanest ive seen so far!
You explain everthing so nicely. The conversion ist awesome!! But the wind is so horrible! I had to switch the tone of completely in my TV because I anyway understood almost nothing.
Awesome setup. I have a 2018 transit connect. I use it for my plumbing business. I'd love to convert my van like this! I would build the same exact setup but built out of steel and aluminum
Also a plumber but have a high roof long body I picked up for about the price of a new transit. Got it from a plumber who already did the conversion with all the storage racks and bins with overhead bins for pvc and copper and a folding ladder. Thinking of making it a camper with space for a dirt bike inside. Might have the space
Just bought one for my MX bike but want to do the back so I can have best of both . just fitted the new shape St recaro seats an steering wheel up front too ! Gotta have comfy seats haha . here in the UK the connects are super cheap now
Gorgeous van, but you could have saved quite a bit more space by cutting that counter top width down by about 8 inches and still had quite a bit of counter space! In these vans, every square foot counts!
Your van (bed,) setup is comfortable for one person n ok for two. You could have used foldable stand below your bench to make it more sturdy. Rest all fine. Best of luck.....😃
damn, I would love to finish watching this video because it looks like a cool build but I can't hear a damn thing with that brutal wind and bumping the camera...but I will say you should get an electric heater inside since you have adequate power to run it.
Great build! I have a blue 2011 Ford Tranist Connect and currently living in it. It is not converted yet, but once I convert it, I will definitely be taking some ideas from you. Cheers.
It's very hard to hear with the wind and traffic, looks like a nice van but it hurts my ears. Why would you block all entrances to the van with furniture, and only be able to enter from the back?
_"It's tight with the dog"_ 🌭🐶🦴 Lol ☘️🎋 Nice build 💖 Q: After the build & sleeping 2, can we consider making the sink cabinet less wide & giving the bed more width?
Love the conversion. I need a big bed. My thought is to have the sink area lower to the height of the bed and cover the entire area inside with mattress pieces. A good nights sleep is critical. I noticed no toilet. Has that been any issue?
Honestly when it comes to a toilet in such a small van you’re better off either stopping somewhere, staying on a camp site that has on site toilets or taking an awning and a compact toilet and putting the toilet in the awning, it might not be as private as going to the toilet inside but it sure as hell smells better than going to the toilet inside
I bought a 2012 Transit XLT 2 weeks ago. I bet that sold fast. I want a bed built that is a single and slides down to back of passenger seat. Can't block both side doors. Had someone to do it, I guess not now. Tried Craigslist, to many weirdos and can't sort them out. Craigslist is bad now.
I would never block entrances by solid builds. You need minimum a second entrance, in case of emergency, to leave the car. Also you feel more like be in a jail, if you fill your space with builds. And block all, with one entrance only.
Amazing work you did!! The wind sound is terrible so maybe you could do a voice over of the outside your and hope you got a wind muffle for your mic for other videos.
Nice concept, even if you don't wanna do long camping trips and use it as the main driver to work or the mall. It stays a nice commuter.
🎁This is the perfect build for me, but alas, I'm a year too late to purchase. Thank you for the great and inspiring post. Blessings to you! 💖
I absolutely love it. It looks like a pro did it. Way better than any micro camper you could buy
The bed layout is perfect for 1 person and the small cutout is great for a dog!! Love that idea!!!
Exactly what I had in mind, the bed is ok for 1 person.

Super design. Love the way the bed just assembles so easily and your simple approach to electrics.
Good job nice conversion, just what I need. 🇬🇧👍🍻 And congratulations. 👍
Love it! I love how stealthy these models are
Very good, I like the way you used the room in the van!
I saved this video. It is one of the most organized and cozy layout. 👌👌

If your Dad was a carpenter since before you were born then carpentry skills are encoded in your DNA. Nice van man!
For someone that doesn't do any carpentry this is quite impressive. Good job on the build.

Very good use of the space. The bed set-up is neat.
The wind noise adds realism to the build lol
Awesome build guys!
Really awesome build! Hope she sold quickly

I just love it !! Congratulations !!
Congratulations, best set up of all the videos I see. Ill be building my van just like yours.
great conversion, very practical! The squeak drove me crazy though lol
I like your video its very simple and showed a lot of imagination, your design is Simple and Clean, good work you guys....
Love what you have done. All what you need, nothing you don't.

Beautiful, clean design.
Very nice, great job! ❤
Beautiful van. Nice work.
Love the build❤️. I heard you just fine with some quality earbuds to improve the sound distribution. Thanks for posting!!!
You need a mic muffler, missed the first 5.45 because of the wind
oh my god that front window shade
This is a very nice setup.
Great van really nicely done , that squeaking bed would drive me crazy
Steve James, I think that was the bike rack, or some component of it, that was squeaking
Great job 💪
Livin the good life man!
Wow this is a fantastic little camper! I've been kind of obsessed with thinking about doing just this.
Thank you! It just got a new home in CO! -Jill
I am looking at buying one in Idaho. What did you sell yours for please?
I’m also curious what you sold it for. Thanks!
Jill Kellogg I’m also curious what you sold it for too! Thanks!
Great build!
👍👍🧔More ford connect camper van videos , from everyone , totally cool👍👍👌
Very nice van fix...i have one too and i like yours better......got some good ideas...gonna make my cabinet above the front
Apart from the sound quality, I really enjoyed this well thought out van build....🚐👏👏☘
You do this fit outs for people good job good luck 😃👌
Great presentation and keep the videos rolling in(I liked and subed from South Africa)
Awesome job! I could hear, only a minute of wind noise. 👍👍
I am 6'2" would I be able to sleep on a bed that size?
Great video man! The van looks awesome.
Great build

Jigsaw great idea for this conversation.. lion lithium batteries are a great addition if you are going to upgrade batteries
Super nice!👍🏽
Love your van
great build
Decent job at making it feel big inside.
this is awesome!

Buen vídeo 😃👌 gracias
you should make a removable shelf to go over the front seats for oscar..
Hi Nate, good work. I just bought a Connect too and was wondering what bike rack system you have used ? Any tips much appreciated. Cheers
damn, I would love to finish watching this video because it looks like a cool build but I can't hear a damn thing with that brutal wind and bumping the camera...but I will say you should get an electric heater inside since you have adequate power to run it.
I couldn't take the noise anymore so I turned the sound off, turned subtitles on and watched.
@@followyourheart7818 THANK YOU! 👍

Very charming.
Nice,thinking about it.
I would put the couch on a slide so you can have a outdoor couch/Bed to chill on
Good and reasonable design for car camping even you are not a carpenter . by the way you should have a mic for recording.
_"It's tight with the dog"_ 🌭🐶🦴
Lol ☘️🎋
Nice build 💖
Q: After the build & sleeping 2,
can we consider making the sink cabinet less wide & giving the bed more width?
Is Tracy still available? How much are you asking?
Where did you get that great front window shade? Btw... Can't really hear much yet.
Very cool.
Job well done
Bello!
Inspiration
noise cancelling and mic and micvolume would have kept me here
Hey guys, this looks great. Thank you. What sort of miles per gallon to you get?
27 mpg average
👍👍

I was wondering if the transit connect as wide as the normal transit?
Just out of curiosity what did the build cost and how much did you get for it?
Hey Nathan super curious, how much did you end up selling it for? Looking to be selling our van in the coming months.
Your dad and Jesus was a carpenter
Wow. I’m gonna do exactly this
Same!
👌
Where did you get that sun screen? Is the goal zero yeti a generator? Does it connect to solar?
Amazon, it's a battery bank and yes connects to solar
Where did you get the front window covering!? I need one for my connect 2010
Nice proyect
Great job. How much did you sell it for ?
How much and which state?
could you put board insulation over your windows at night?
Is this still for sale?
Mytransit connect kept kicking her hub caps off. Just gave up on them love my t c, bought her brand new in2010.
Nice setup! Is this Sean Omealley's older brother?lol
I would buy the blueprints for this build!
can you give info on the solar panel?
can u say where you got the front windshield shade please?
I would never block entrances by solid builds.

Great practical info. The sound was fine.
Looking to do conversion on my van .E150 high top ..put solar power .cabinets .plug outside for generator..anybody around New York city or New jersey

👏👏👏👏👏
I’m interested in buying
I'm probably a bit too late to get a response but just wondering if this is the long or short wheelbase?
It´s the LWB, because it´s high roof also, SWB goes always with the low roof, SWB comes with rear hatch or hinged doors, LWB hinged doors only!
:-D
@@horstszibulski19 Thank you!
Inspiration for my build! Does this van have cruise control?
That's exactly why I'll only buy the XLT. Yea I use cruise in town!
1:31, the cruise control is on the steering wheel. IT's an XLT, electric windows and power door locks.
Thank you!
@@kenhurley4441 That´s nice, the european diesel versions were not available with crusie control, as far as I know...
:-D
