      That’s why Aggies have not won in forever. Forgive the ego maniac who thinks it’s smart to fire Jimbo after Ole Miss and eat 77 million. Bc he admitted his mistake? Wow. Now people taking up for Bjork (who got OWNED) by Jimmy Sexton saying we have “phenomenal “ interest from around the country but using the excuse of we just paid 80 million so we can’t afford a top tier guy.

      @@SlobberKnockerrLOL. tamu had an athletic budget surplus of $15 million in 2022. Which is roughly 1/5 of the $76 million. It hits hard no matter how you take it. They are having to reduce expenses. I think the donors will be checking on how much of their money has gone toward this idiocy

    Let's not forget Ross brought us Buzz and Schlossnagle. Both very good hires. He did not hire Jimbo. Give our AD a chance to make another great hire. Ross also pretty much let all of our coaches know that losing will not be accepted at A&M. Im sure after Jimbo was let go they all took a good look at themselves and how they are doing as coaches.

    If I was Jimbo, with that amount of money. I’d consider coaching high school ball, or opening a coaching clinic that helps youth, or maybe even a small college. He won’t need money and in fact could pay some money to help somewhere. It would be stress free because you’re not owed a ton and have to be great. ROLL TIDE!

  • @Divisiononebasketball

    I love having an incentive laden contract. You win you get paid. Forget about the long term deals. These AD’s get bullied into believing that their coach might leave when the reality is that the coaches agent is putting those rumors out there. These AD’s are bidding against themselves.

    • @colbycarroll7746
      @colbycarroll7746 10 місяців тому

      Hilarious concept considering Jimbo only went to aTm when FSU didn’t match what they were offering him. These bidding wars are a very real thing, even if they aren’t super common.

    • @Divisiononebasketball
      @Divisiononebasketball 10 місяців тому

      @@colbycarroll7746 FSU didn’t need to match A&M because Jimbo wasn’t winning national championships at FSU. They did the right thing and let him go if someone was dumb enough to pay him which A&M was. Now how did that work out for A&M? That’s my point, these coaches have one good year maybe two and then the agent reaches out to the school and whispers that that their client is being targeted when the reality is if the school holds tight longer they will either get the results they were waiting for or not.

    I think fans take things way out of content: I think it could be worth noting, it's should have not been about the Coach "Fisher", I truly think that fans persuaded the AD Ross that it cannot go on? However, if you look at the improvements that were being made over the last 2 years in recruiting, NIL $$$ for the athletes, building a stronger fan base, improvements that were " Yes, slowly made on the field" were coming to fruitation, as it will show next fall. I'm not saying the firing of this head coach was bad or good, what I am saying: sometimes fans, boosters are not patient enough to reap the rewards under due time? The most successful programs that have won national championships wether it be in football, basketball, baseball or any major sport takes time during recruitment, transfer portals, building a solid staff that athletes buy into that makes it possible to compete for Championships. We as fans sometimes just don't understand the time frame and, due process?
