I always forget that the stars for each chamber don't reset when you restart the whole floor, so you can just go back with a new team and focus on the other chambers
I'd say the only requirement are 2+ decently well built 5* per team. Don't see how anyone could struggle outside of something like "4 star only challenge". I ran my usual Yoi/Chiori/Yelan/Zhongli on one side and Noelle/Fischl/Xilonen/Furina on the other and had no problems ... and then I even realized I just did the flying wolf boss with Noelle/Xilonen and used Yoi for the Natlan boss with the shield that breaks easy with nightsoul attacks so it would've been even easier if I had switched teams.

I’m a triple crowned Ningguang main who uses her as often as humanly possible forgive me for being excited someone else used one of the least used characters in Abyss history.
I tried it with Kachina hyperbloom then reality set in when I realized her skill was 20 second cooldown... never again Ningguang with Wandering Evenstar and 4pc Instructor saved the day!

With lineys i got to clear floor 11 and just now a few months back i got to 36* for the first time. And i started back in 2.5 so it took me a little over 2 years before i actually did it. You only miss out on 2 pulls every month anyways if u stop af floor 10

A valid strategy is genuinely using two teams to clear chambers one and two and then resetting with teams specifically for chamber three. Even if they suck at one and two you already three starred them so who cares
I restarted with a different team for chamber 3 and died like 7 times to the Papilla. Somehow it was harder to survive that fight while taking my time than it was when trying for full stars 😅
Yeah the only thing ruining the first chamber was the magma rock things having pyro self-app. It ruins hyperbloom. Other than that those teams would have worked just fine.
@@sumawardhen198I don't know what you mean by ideal, but it has 3 bosses (and Chasca means kill bosses), Chasca with Ororo, Benny, Layla is a very easy clear, even without Furina. Cause she is archer/can fly/has nightsoul, she alone meets every requirement of second half.

The fact that he's using four 1.0 characters really says something about how little choice we have with newer 4 star characters or maybe Bennet Xiangling and Xingqiu are just too good. its kinda funny that he had to use Ningguang for Geo on the Wolf like Geo 4 star options really suck. We do have good modern 4 stars and a bunch of really solid ones they're all used for different things Yaoyao Gaming Sumeru Miku Chevreuse Kuki Sethos Ororon Kirara Charolette There's nothing wrong with making 4*s fit certain niches
@@DragonoftheDarknessFlame Kuki, Chevreuse and Yao Yao are the only really SOLID units there. Gaming and Sethos are DPS units that suck at their roles. Ororon's niche is incredibly low damage. Kirara is a non-Baizhu unit. Sumeru Miku needs 5* Anemo units to be good.

I starting to see the trend. Last abyss or IT they put enemies with weakness to geo, promoting zhongli for geo and shield. Then what you know, next banner is zhongli. Same thing here, i wish i have mavuika and clorinde so i can easily finish 12-2
I think it’s just because the emphasis on having specific characters. Most people don’t have strong characters built that also do things like long range damage and or good against specific boss resistance or support characters that do well against the specific boss or enemy. I know the first chamber is always a breeze but it’s a pain trying to essentially “meet boss conditions” for my other teams
It's got 5 waves, includes a boss with resistance and animation time, beasts with resistance, eroding lava with Pyro status to ruin reactions and spread out eremites. So yeah it's hardest one to get through
I think thats a really good thing, earlier hardest part used to be in 12-3 or even 12-2 Having in 12-1 really gives alot of flexibility to be able to try many teams against hardest stuff.
the only way to make it worse would be to put the wenut somewhere i went for 6 stars on floor 12, im kinda too horizontal invested to actually have the dmg to burst these massive bosses
Horizontal investment is a pretty good decision imo. Keeps game fun with many characters to play with. Depending on how close you are to clearing, it can be fun to make use of the 30 day period to plan out some optimal vertical investments to push the performance further. Eventually the gap will bridge when similar bosses return next time.

You should change your settings to only capture sound from the game, and not all windows sounds. Or maybe turn off the windows bloops because they're extremely annoying
This Abyss is fine, I just really hate how restrictive the requirements are. It feels like I am playing Whack-A-Mole avoiding all the annoying mechanics of these bosses. In particular I really dislike Tenebrous. It pushes you to either use really specific teams that have many instances of damage, or just slot in a Natlani character. Ultimately it's pretty easy, I am just a little annoyed the best teams seemed to be Powerwash/Furina on the first half, and then Xilonen/Arlecchino second half. Not really a damage problem, just any other combination of units feels really clunky in this Abyss I have come to find.
@@EdenVix Yeah I just did a run with Clorinde and Fischl on an aggravate comp. Completely shreds the shield, mostly thanks to Fischl. She continues to be the goat years later. Side note, Clorinde is giga underrated
It was a real dick move to put Papilla into abyss so early when most people don't have one of the Natlan character that are good at breaking it's sheild. I failed for about an hour before i finally managed to beat it with 3 seconds left 😭
there's still a plenty of time before the next reset, Mauvika/Citlali/PMC havers will be able to participate in this abyss.. that is if they pre-farmed
Any high hit per second character will either shred the shield faster than or just as fast as the Natlan characters I ran double hydro hyperbloom in the 2nd half and I deleted the shield in ~10s just by doing my rotation
This abyss was torture with the Nathan flower and wolf lord. I had to go through three times with a different team for each chamber and still had two end on the 7 00 mark with not a second to spare
i found chamber 2 side 2 to be the worst 😭😭 somehow i got through it with Alhaitham quickblook but since I don’t have natlan characters except kachina, it was a colossal nightmare. first abyss i might actually skip out on the 4* only run Teams: Navia/Zhongli/Furina/Bennett Alhaitham/Yelan/Nahida/Kuki both carries C1 but i don’t think that’s too relevant except for navia

@EdenVix Maybd but I would guess his alhaitham is more invested than his xinqui. Now double hdyro is nice for less Energy issues but then again double dendro hyperbloom is just better. I would bet althaitham is better even in this niche situation
@@el7284 i tried that and it just didn’t go as easily! probably skill issue on my part. my xingqiu decently built (160/60 with 180 ERR on fav) my alhaitham is quite good so I just ended up doing way more damage (240/80, 321 EM) edit: i should clarify that I never had a problem breaking his phase, it was more so that my navia isn’t the best in terms of artifacts, so even tho my HB is good, i’d still end up a little short on time; alhaitham just did more damage to clear out the boss
Personally had no issues for vertically invested hutao and alhaitham. But id like to point out rathalos shield breaking take 30s for furina/yelan/xingqiu. Thats like operating minus one rotation. You are damaged check by the 2nd half of chamber 2 to kill him in about 45s after the shield gets down or else you get another shield phase plopped down. Then we have the chamber 1 lava goons that may just spread away. Also primo heo vishap stalling. In chamber 3 u also get to experience wolflord stalling. This didnt feel like a character check, it was quite literally artificial stalling.
Image me trying to submit run eula second side when burst happens when a transformation gives the new boss invincibility and I admit to say I use eula here so it hurts twice aaaaaaaaaa
every single floor in 12 felt like a restriction on a character to the point where I ran like C6 Chiori Zhongli Furina Charlotte Arlecchino Xilonen Yelan Bennett and then had to go back for 12-2-2 because of that stupid 2nd floor boss (hate it) Edit: I didn't realize Overload was good here... I thought I was forced to bring a Natlan character SMH (I'm so stupid)
My C0R1 Chasca saved me big time. Took down all the bosses in under a minute. Nueve burgeon cleared the first half painfully slow (mostly because he isnt fully built yet and didnt get full Xilonen dmg buff because of Nahida)
I somehow threw 2 teams together while being drunk out of my mind and cleared with almost 10s leff as a f2p. I'm not trying to say anything, but it was quite an experience.
pretty sure u need 3 apps of Geo to break a wolf's head, so you'd need 1 burst and 1 skill(?), or 3 skills per wolf head which is too long a time in cooldowns :( (the last attack in her normal attack string is Geo infused also rite? but itd still be too long)
First half used noelle, furina, yelan, charlotte. Second half: arlecchino, fischl, xilonen, bennett. I cant imagine doing this 4* star only. The wolf boss was a bit of a nightmare but still a comfortable 36 star.
For us old players. Playing abyss in 4 star team is a necessity. First half noelle gorou xingqui candace. Second half same team, xiangling, bennet, chevreus, fischl. Although a lot of repeat, still manage around 5 seconds left on first chamber and 55 sec left for 2nd chamber.
I’m curious, why charlotte in the first team? Isn’t Noelle enough to out heal furina’s pets? I think gorou would make it easier with geo resonance, def buff and geo particles even at c0
Btw every abyss that everyone says is garbage is the most fun i have in abyss ever. I do live the malding aspect I have cleared every abyss since 4.3 with cybo and keqing but this on i couldnt. So i cleared with f2p ayaka and keqing
I don't think this Abyss is harder per-se, it just demands very specifically Hydro+Geo in the first team and the first side has stalling mechanics. The 2nd side is decent otherwise.
Same. I like the puzzle solving aspect of coming up with a team to beat the Abyss. I dislike it when I can just brute force it with the most powerful meta team each time. Top team requires some hydro and geo. Bottom team mostly requires high rate of fire and a character that can deal with Aeon Blight Drake. If you do not have these then you can just brute force if you are overwhelmingly powerful like killing the Wolflord before he can get his heads out or just killing the Tenebrous Papilla even with 80% resist.
How does Xilonen work for wolflord. After I switched to unbuild ning I managed to clear it in time. Ning bribes the devs to put this shit boss in the last chamber so you have to use her.
For those wolf statues he summons you want to active her skill next to the statue to trigger the first hit then hit it till you get the second then ult for third then for the other two you want to activate her skill and keep auto them till they all break. Tbh that boss was hell for me but my teams as the Wolford takes around 2 ish minutes sometimes a few seconds faster i even had to give my xilonen a sac sword and tons of resets. Tbh i wouldn't be surprised ning clears tbe statues faster but I'm not at a high enough investment to carry dead weight for 2 floors.

Yup, this Abyss sucked. Had to restart chamber 1 twice because I was slightly short, and only ended with like 15 seconds to spare on the clear. The other 2 were nothing in comparison (Chasca and Ororon on 2nd side for Papilla). 2nd Side should have had only bosses I think, then it would have been balanced.
Dude i hated this Abyss, i definitely could have done a better pick than Zhongli for First half when it came to the stupid dog. Especially for my hyperbloom trigger since i didn't build Fischl on EM, could have done Kuki instead. {Zhongli, Fischl, Nahida/Kusanali and Nevu} C1,C6, C0, C0 Black Tass, Alley Hunter, Sig and Prototype Amber I do have to fix my rotations for what i used Second half on though, that run was the only time i did it but barely managed to scrape seconds before hitting 7min mark. {Chasca, Xilonen, Benny and Furina} C1(so i was able to get away with not running triple reaction for vape), C0, C5, C0 Sig, Sig, Aquila Fav and Festering Desire
There is no need to do a 4* showcases. No one in sane mind does it. We need example clears with the MOST COMMON characters, including 5 stars, and the BEST teams for each floor/chamber.
I feel like shit, when I use Neuv/Chasca teams for it, it feels extremely easy and just unfair. Like there shouldn't be that much difference for player experience when "not using optimal character".

As a mobile player with 300 ping, I took the easy route: Neuvillette, Furina, Xilonen, Zhongli first half and Nahida, Yelan, Xingqiu, Kuki second half. Cleared chambers 2 & 3 with a minute to spare, chamber 1 with 20 seconds to spare. My builds and artifact quality are just decent, BUT I do have C1R1 Neuvillette and one of the best C0R0 Furinas in the world (0.2% Akasha). The hardest abyss remains to be 3.7 with the lectors and element requirements. No cause to cry in Lector- and Herald-less abysses.
We used the same exact teams, except I had Kazuha instead of Zhongli. Pretty foolish, considering it took me two whole minutes to take down the Wolflord with just Xilonen as my choice for Geo. Thankfully, Nahida hyperbloom demolished the Aeonblight Drake. Just hyperbloom things!

I would say geo mc with with tesser beidou/ fischl, candace/xingqiu. Depends on the chamber 2. Its tesser abyys rotation anyway. Why mc? Crit buff, short rotation, petra/milelith, intruption res. Noelle is fine but tricky with er.
Yeah, its not enough. I try it on my phone just now. With candace c6, beidou c6, geo mc, xingqiu c6, my best clear time 7.38 (2.27s) mc using freedom -cheating. Without freedom around 7.20 - 7.15. The problem lies on second team if use xingqiu on chamber 1. Even with my c6 chev, bennet c6, xiangling c6, fischl c6. The primo vishap early dmg redc wasting a lot of time. The rest of the floor is fine.

Combine all the worms, then put them all in 12-1-1 as multiwaves.

I tried doing that thing and said fk it cause it was a sponge. Destroying the bombs did no dmg to him. Wait is local legend not the same as night trial?

HP scaling isn't a problem for me, as long as the target don't move much even 10 million HP is very doable, stalling enemies are the worst.

This Abyss is fine, I just really hate how restrictive the requirements are. It feels like I am playing Whack-A-Mole avoiding all the annoying mechanics of these bosses. In particular I really dislike Tenebrous. It pushes you to either use really specific teams that have many instances of damage, or just slot in a Natlani character. Ultimately it's pretty easy, I am just a little annoyed the best teams seemed to be Powerwash/Furina on the first half, and then Xilonen/Arlecchino second half. Not really a damage problem, just any other combination of units feels really clunky in this Abyss I have come to find.
Hyperbloom is really good second half too, specially if you slot in fischl. Ive seen people do it with overload too but i haven't tested it myself
@@EdenVix Yeah I just did a run with Clorinde and Fischl on an aggravate comp. Completely shreds the shield, mostly thanks to Fischl. She continues to be the goat years later. Side note, Clorinde is giga underrated

It was a real dick move to put Papilla into abyss so early when most people don't have one of the Natlan character that are good at breaking it's sheild. I failed for about an hour before i finally managed to beat it with 3 seconds left 😭
I didn't even use Natlan chars for it lol, aggrevate can break the shield just fine 🤔
there's still a plenty of time before the next reset, Mauvika/Citlali/PMC havers will be able to participate in this abyss.. that is if they pre-farmed

I ran double hydro hyperbloom in the 2nd half and I deleted the shield in ~10s just by doing my rotation
Any high hit count unit or team can clear that chamber.

This abyss was torture with the Nathan flower and wolf lord. I had to go through three times with a different team for each chamber and still had two end on the 7 00 mark with not a second to spare

i found chamber 2 side 2 to be the worst 😭😭 somehow i got through it with Alhaitham quickblook but since I don’t have natlan characters except kachina, it was a colossal nightmare. first abyss i might actually skip out on the 4* only run

Should have dropped haitham for Xingqiu and you'd have cleared that chamber more easily.

Now double hdyro is nice for less Energy issues but then again double dendro hyperbloom is just better.

@@el7284 i tried that and it just didn’t go as easily! probably skill issue on my part. my xingqiu decently built (160/60 with 180 ERR on fav)
my alhaitham is quite good so I just ended up doing way more damage (240/80, 321 EM)
edit: i should clarify that I never had a problem breaking his phase, it was more so that my navia isn’t the best in terms of artifacts, so even tho my HB is good, i’d still end up a little short on time; alhaitham just did more damage to clear out the boss
Personally had no issues for vertically invested hutao and alhaitham. But id like to point out rathalos shield breaking take 30s for furina/yelan/xingqiu. Thats like operating minus one rotation. You are damaged check by the 2nd half of chamber 2 to kill him in about 45s after the shield gets down or else you get another shield phase plopped down.
Then we have the chamber 1 lava goons that may just spread away. Also primo heo vishap stalling.
In chamber 3 u also get to experience wolflord stalling.
This didnt feel like a character check, it was quite literally artificial stalling.
This abyss finally made me glad I pulled for Clorinde

My C0R1 Chasca saved me big time. Took down all the bosses in under a minute. Nueve burgeon cleared the first half painfully slow (mostly because he isnt fully built yet and didnt get full Xilonen dmg buff because of Nahida)
I somehow threw 2 teams together while being drunk out of my mind and cleared with almost 10s leff as a f2p.
I'm not trying to say anything, but it was quite an experience.

What about Geo Traveler against wolflord?
pretty sure u need 3 apps of Geo to break a wolf's head, so you'd need 1 burst and 1 skill(?), or 3 skills per wolf head which is too long a time in cooldowns :( (the last attack in her normal attack string is Geo infused also rite? but itd still be too long)

me with literally no 5 star geo character ever, been using Ninguang + hut tao & hydro or hyperbloom variants every time theres wolflord.
First half used noelle, furina, yelan, charlotte.
Second half: arlecchino, fischl, xilonen, bennett.
I cant imagine doing this 4* star only. The wolf boss was a bit of a nightmare but still a comfortable 36 star.
For us old players. Playing abyss in 4 star team is a necessity. First half noelle gorou xingqui candace. Second half same team, xiangling, bennet, chevreus, fischl. Although a lot of repeat, still manage around 5 seconds left on first chamber and 55 sec left for 2nd chamber.
I’m curious, why charlotte in the first team? Isn’t Noelle enough to out heal furina’s pets? I think gorou would make it easier with geo resonance, def buff and geo particles even at c0

I don't think this Abyss is harder per-se, it just demands very specifically Hydro+Geo in the first team and the first side has stalling mechanics. The 2nd side is decent otherwise.

Same. I like the puzzle solving aspect of coming up with a team to beat the Abyss. I dislike it when I can just brute force it with the most powerful meta team each time. Top team requires some hydro and geo. Bottom team mostly requires high rate of fire and a character that can deal with Aeon Blight Drake. If you do not have these then you can just brute force if you are overwhelmingly powerful like killing the Wolflord before he can get his heads out or just killing the Tenebrous Papilla even with 80% resist.
How does Xilonen work for wolflord. After I switched to unbuild ning I managed to clear it in time. Ning bribes the devs to put this shit boss in the last chamber so you have to use her.
For those wolf statues he summons you want to active her skill next to the statue to trigger the first hit then hit it till you get the second then ult for third then for the other two you want to activate her skill and keep auto them till they all break. Tbh that boss was hell for me but my teams as the Wolford takes around 2 ish minutes sometimes a few seconds faster i even had to give my xilonen a sac sword and tons of resets. Tbh i wouldn't be surprised ning clears tbe statues faster but I'm not at a high enough investment to carry dead weight for 2 floors.

I first tried this abyss with my neuv and chasca team. Wow I am so good at this kid's game 🤓
Yup, this Abyss sucked. Had to restart chamber 1 twice because I was slightly short, and only ended with like 15 seconds to spare on the clear. The other 2 were nothing in comparison (Chasca and Ororon on 2nd side for Papilla). 2nd Side should have had only bosses I think, then it would have been balanced.
Dude i hated this Abyss, i definitely could have done a better pick than Zhongli for First half when it came to the stupid dog. Especially for my hyperbloom trigger since i didn't build Fischl on EM, could have done Kuki instead.

There is no need to do a 4* showcases. No one in sane mind does it. We need example clears with the MOST COMMON characters, including 5 stars, and the BEST teams for each floor/chamber.
I dont have the mental capacity to do only 4 star i normally try but this one i care for my mental sake
I was about to give up on a four star challenge but then it hit me. Beidou excels in two target situations…. That is all.

I feel like shit, when I use Neuv/Chasca teams for it, it feels extremely easy and just unfair. Like there shouldn't be that much difference for player experience when "not using optimal character".
Papilloma's shield + drake gatekeeps 99% of my teams super hard, no fun allowed. Getting C6 Fischl in January will make it 90%.

As a mobile player with 300 ping, I took the easy route: Neuvillette, Furina, Xilonen, Zhongli first half and Nahida, Yelan, Xingqiu, Kuki second half. Cleared chambers 2 & 3 with a minute to spare, chamber 1 with 20 seconds to spare.
My builds and artifact quality are just decent, BUT I do have C1R1 Neuvillette and one of the best C0R0 Furinas in the world (0.2% Akasha).
The hardest abyss remains to be 3.7 with the lectors and element requirements. No cause to cry in Lector- and Herald-less abysses.
We used the same exact teams, except I had Kazuha instead of Zhongli. Pretty foolish, considering it took me two whole minutes to take down the Wolflord with just Xilonen as my choice for Geo. Thankfully, Nahida hyperbloom demolished the Aeonblight Drake. Just hyperbloom things!
Mic Sound balance please. Vocal modification when voice goes high is so peircing. And good team template. But my ears hurt between volume adjustments

As for 4 stars only team, its do able tbh (with some 5stars standart weap)
You can go hyperbloom chamber 2, or orororon teser chamber 2, or overload just fine.
As for chamber 1, if no kachina. I would say geo mc with with tesser beidou/ fischl, candace/xingqiu. Depends on the chamber 2.
Its tesser abyys rotation anyway. Why mc? Crit buff, short rotation, petra/milelith, intruption res. Noelle is fine but tricky with er.

Yeah, its not enough. I try it on my phone just now. With candace c6, beidou c6, geo mc, xingqiu c6, my best clear time 7.38 (2.27s) mc using freedom -cheating. Without freedom around 7.20 - 7.15.
The problem lies on second team if use xingqiu on chamber 1. Even with my c6 chev, bennet c6, xiangling c6, fischl c6. The primo vishap early dmg redc wasting a lot of time.
The rest of the floor is fine.
I cant use hyperbloom second half with candace or xingqiu on first half. If i swap them down, i can barely clear it on 7min. With orororon fischl.

his Xiangling don't have a lot of ER, he funneled a lot of particles with Bennett

However xiangling has 235% ER in triple pyro and fischl with 1 fav
Just check how early xianglings burst is charged before its CD is finished.
