To be fair about the last one, legendaries kind of suck as a starter due to the exp needs and the moves they often have. On the other hand, never give your rival a legendary, they don't give a crap about exp xD. Though this is punishment for dissing Slowbro, not a bad mon for nuzlocke purposes between it's bulk and healing options :P

@@SiebayPlays It's not impossible to have a starter without attacking moves, you just need to catch another pokémon asap. Very much not ideal though

I just like Abra, and the challenge that comes from using one over its evolved forms. I certainly wouldn’t choose it over some of the other choices though.
Personally I’d love a Aipom, Abra, kr Magikarp as my starter.
Problem Abra, first depending on the game, like gen 1, Abra has no offensive move at the start, and thus will die in that first rival fight. If no early rival fight, all it has is Teleport, would need to deplete all move points to Struggle to deal damage. Can't heal at Poke Center or if you do it'll restore Teleport. It's a long serious process until it can learn about offensive move / evolve.
One time I got Budew, Magnemite, and Eevee for a nuzlocke.

Uh... I'm pretty sure this is for a randomizer, not Nuzlocke. Nuzlocke is a very specific way to play vanilla pokemon, so I'm not sure why you're calling this a Nuzlocke.

Early Legendary Pokémon are actually okay. Their movepool sucks. A starter Arceus basically has Seismic Toss as its only attack move, which does what, 5 HP damage at that point?

Someone mind telling me what Nuzlocke is? Is it just a randomizer? My knowledge only goes up to gen 3
Nuzzlocke is a self imposed challenge in pokemon where if a pokemon faints, it cannot be used in the playthrough.
Randomizers are an added challenge to it.
A nuzkocke is a popular fan challenge where you start a new save, you can only catch one pokemon per run and if any pokemon faints you can't use it again, ever, the objective is to defeat the champion with whatever survives your masochism.
