Pokémon (an abbreviation for Pocket Monsters in Japanese) is a Japanese media franchise managed by The Pokémon Company, founded by Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures. The franchise was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1996, and is centered around fictional creatures called "Pokémon". In Pokémon, Pokémon Trainers are people who catch, train, care for, and battle with Pokémon. The English slogan for the franchise is "Gotta Catch ‘Em All!". There are currently 1015 Pokémon species.
The original Pokémon is a role-playing game based around building a small team of monsters to battle other monsters in a quest to become the best. Pokémon are divided into types, such as water and fire, each with different strengths. Battles between them can be likened to the simple hand game rock-paper-scissors.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are 2022 role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch. They are the first installments in the ninth generation of the Pokémon video game series. First announced in February 2022, they were released on 18 November 2022.
Unlike the previous installments in the Pokémon franchise, Scarlet and Violet take place in an open world. The games take place in the Paldea region, based on the Iberian Peninsula. There are three separate stories the player can follow. Scarlet and Violet introduce 110 new Pokémon, alongside two new regional forms. Also introduced are time-displaced creatures known as Paradox Pokémon, and the Terastal phenomenon, which allows a Pokémon to transform into its exclusive "Tera Type". The games maintain features from previous modern Pokémon games, including large open areas and Pokémon appearing in the overworld.
Scarlet and Violet received mixed reviews from critics. The games were praised for their open-world formula and story, while their graphics and technical problems at launch received criticism. The games sold over 10 million copies in their first three days, making them Nintendo's biggest launch of all time. By the end of 2022, they sold over 20 million copies combined, making them the fourth best-selling Pokémon games of all time, behind Pokemon Gold and Silver by 3 million copies sold. - Ігри

What made the Cynthia encounter so bad for me was the fact that i didn't have my main team. Just a few water types i caught while searching the underwater ruins. Decided to take a break and the check the houses. Unfortunately found her. You can guess the rest of the story.
