Gaston installs a Rough Country 3.5 lift kit with Vertex Coilover on the 2021 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 and makes it look so easy - because it is! - Авто та транспорт
Thank you so much for making this video definitely was a visual aid when installing the 3.5 kit... But for future reference it would be nice to have torque specs... Final note installing the front shocks the way you stated in the video I wound up scratching the s*** out of my shock absorber..😡🤬😡 I found it best to install it top first then pry the bottom in... I'VE WATCHED THIS VIDEO ABOUT 20 TO 30 TIMES AND DOING SO HELP ME COME UP WITH A GAME PLAN FOR A ONE-MAN INSTALL... Anyway thanks again for the VIDEO VERY HELPFUL...☺️
Been running this for about 5 months and I love it! Looks great rides great and budget friendly!
I have this kit & I have serious clunking coming from the passenger side. Id love to see some pics of yours
@@adenacemedia5376 you prob need more lift??? That happened to me awhile back when i installed 5100s on my 5 lug with no lift
@@adenacemedia5376 did you install it yourself or professional…if not professional have them look at it probably something small to fix…if not install tight things like that gonna happen…don’t get icon suspension just a head up worst quality experience I had with them
On the 3.5" coilovers does anyone know the min.-max height adjustment from these? I hear they come set at 3" inches out the box.
Does it bring the back and front up or just one side?
My shop has had this kit ordered since the end of September. Still waiting on the damn thing to ship one of these days. Hopefully soon!
Is there a similar kit for a 3rd gen 4Runner? I am currently using a Rough Country 3" lift but with stock UCA'S.
Whats the spring rate of the coilovers? I have bumper 165lbs and winch about another 55lbs.
I was wondering if you have any suggestions. I have a 2010 toyota tacoma, i plan on adding a winch bumper and 255 80 r17. I dont need a fancy off road kit, figure i need about 3" to 4" lift to account for the drop from the bumper and to clear the tires. Thank you for any recommendations and the content.
I have a question. Yesterday I ordered my 3-inch elevator front shock absorbers. I need to modify some of my suspension as you have put spacers on the differential arms or I don't need to modify anything, just install the new suspension?
Are those leaf springs for your 3” lift, and can you buy them separately?
Hi what kind of tire and rim set up are you running on this lift kit?
What is a good wheel size to go with for a currently stock Tacoma ride height but I have plans on going with this lift? 17?
Brake lines are tight before offroading. Need extensions on the lines
Nice Rig, what wheel's and tires did you go with ?
Just a question, shouldn't you wait to torque everything down until the weight of the truck is on the ground?
I love Tacoma
Does the sway bar need to be dropped if I got the n3 loaded struts?
Whats the specs on the u bolts and everything and is this set up different the the kit with out the reservoir
Saw this kit
Wondering how the ride is given the budget friendly price
I am really hoping this exact kit will make its way to the 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro-4x!
I heard Nissan truck been having a lot of problems
is this upper control arm will work on 3 inch lift?
Ppl say their quality is trash if it's true so is their customer service. Many ppl on here asking questions yet not a reply from them. I submitted an inquiry on their website few days ago and still no reply.
Is there gonna be one made for the 4Runner?
How much lift are you getting in the rear over stock?
How long does this install typically take for professionals
Did you have any issues with the rear passenger shock aligning in the top bushing hole? My rear shock is too wide at the top to fit properly in the rear passenger side. It doesn’t line up in the center of the hole, the shock body hits the frame. The rear driver side fit perfectly. And also, I didn’t get any reservoir bracket hardware for either rear shock in my kit.
Mine is too but i think they mounted the bushings wrong as i followed these instructions.. if you look at jesse rizos video he did it vise versa and it looks like that nipple bushing and nipple washer acts like a spacer and gives it a lil more clearance. Will try tomorrow
Question? Will this kit work on 2022 taco? Nicely done lift. Have a fantastic day
i have it on my 22 sr5 taco im happy with it
Just had this 3.5” lift installed on my 2016 Tacoma Sport, along with 285/70/R17 tires. However, now anytime I make a sharp left or right turn and accelerate during the turn, my Slip Indicator light/VSC turns on and sometimes engages the ABS. Took it to the Toyota dealership to fix the problem. They calibrated the steering angle sensor and the yaw sensor. It seemed to fix the issue for a day or 2. But now it’s doing it again. Any advice/suggestions on how I can fix this?
Icon suspension
What was your fix?
Idk if you've found a fix or not but it could be the abs lines getting pinched when you turn.
Want to do something similar with a 2022 SR.
The suspension looks different from the one you linked.
What specs on u bolts torque wrench
So I had got the 3 1/2 invh suspension lift but not with the ujustable shocks just leaf springs and shocks it didn't say anything about dropping the sway bar and moving it forward AT ALL so like wth
I have this same kit.... I never recieved anything to drop the sway bar... Does the sway bar need to be dropped if you don't get the adjustable coilovers?
Will this kit or the 3” kit with N3 struts work on a 2WD Tacoma. It’s pretty much the same suspension just without the cv axles
Did you get this kit and did it work? I want to get this kit also I have 2wd
What wheel specs are needed to clear the new Upper control arms ?
Factory wheels fit just fine. Though I ended up going to a -10mm offset for a slight amount of wheel poke.
Are the front struts ride height adjustable?
No
You see this is the thing. I see a lot of posts on here asking for help and none of them are answered by RC. This makes me question then as most people on the forums don’t trust them.

Love the set up!! Are the suspension components American made?
You're on the rough country UA-cam channel, why would you think these are American made? Lol
I finally got my package been waiting month now I’m missing hardware fuk why rough country why
So will this kit work for a 2wd if I just don't use the dif spacers?
Did you get this kit? And did if fit?
@@franciscoramirez2460 no I haven't lifted my truck yet because people are saying it won't fit a 2wd. I'm going for the 4 inch spindle lift kit made for 2wd trucks.
All those bushings should be torqued until vehicle is on the ground
The video was good but at the end should drove and model the truck little bit longer to see every corner how it look…but you did was a tease whyyyyy if you try to sell this kit
I would love to runs this lift on my truck. How would I get sponsored?
You don’t lol just buy it like the rest of use
Get thousands of followers and make a proposition. Start there. You currently have ZERO subs so any company would have zero incentive to give any anything.
Does this kit fit a 2019 trd sport 2wd ??
Did you get this kit after all ? I’m curious if it works on 2wd?
One Detail to keep in mind on a 2nd Gen Install you will need a sway bar relocation kit for the stock sway bar. It will hit the bottom of the strut once the vehicle squats. Only with the Vertex adjustable Strut.
My leaf spring bushings started squeaking like a mother a week later
Never had Rough Country Suspension but I heard from many that its very low quality. Can anyone on here chime in?
Got my ‘19 O/R in Jan ‘19 and been watching lift instal vids for over 3 years. A clue to your answer is in how they glided right past the UCA bolt removal. At least they’re including diff & sway bar relocation hardware. Just read the comments here. Ya get what ya pay for, folks.
Nice
Funny how product manufactures make everything look so easy, this video would’ve actually been helpful if they had shown the install step-by-step, and all the headaches that go along with it. For example, getting that upper control arm out and itself is a complete pain in the butt but they don’t show you is that you have to bend the sheet metal next to the frame to be able to get the bolt out.
The background music is way too loud.
How about no music, stop showing the guy, amd show the work? Too much to ask for?
I’m guessing Jeremy’s favorite band is Metallica?😉
No guts, no glory.
Visual reference video only, no explanation of torque numbers or why cutting brake line bracket none of that stuff 3/10
They are called rough country being they give you a rough ride, nothing is better then stalk once the suspension is altered many problems follow with alignement & driveline issues.
Your music too load not match your video.
Lol… the truck is lifted so high for your height. It would be much easier for you if it’s a bit lower.
Terrible customer service!
Yeah, I've had a lift ordered since September, everytime their website says it's shipping, the day it's supposed to, they extend it. Thinking about canceling my order at this point.
Yah I installed the 3.5 kit on my 2017 sport. I've sent numerous emails with questions about the uca being very close to the spring. I've asked if they have a knuckle/spindle kit...........no reply!
@@tjeff8439 you get it yet?
@@carsongalaxy yes, I've had it installed and really enjoy it.
@@tjeff8439 you go with 3 or 3.5?
Sorry but the music is louder than you… It’s not “cool” to have the music while you are talking.. it could be a great video, I stopped because of having to mess with the volume constantly…..
