Good luck getting a mortgage in Italy…… I’ve been trying for a while with no luck. I’m an Italian citizen living in the USA since 2003. Everything is very slow pace and for my experience the people that look at your paperwork are not really interested to do the extra work. The reason is also that they are not making any commissions. So why spend all the extra time and effort to help out someone without getting anything in return…… Maybe you guys are aware of certain banks in Italy that are willing to go the extra mile to help expats. Please let us know….Right now I’ve been in contact with credit agricole which is actually my bank in Italy. I have a current bank account for almost 10 years with them. Just wanted to share my personal experience. Thank you.
For a mortgage in Italy is it still possible to get a mortgage with a contratto determinato? I have had both and changed jobs because of pay issues. I make more money in a year on seasonal contracts rather than indeterminato but how does that effect me?
Yes, would definitely interested to know more about college for potential dual citizens or Italian citizens residing outside of Italy. I am have young children, and thinking about getting dual citizenship. I , a US citizen, have heard that college is much more affordable in Italy & Europe . However I would like know more about the process for a your adult (16-18 years old) living in the US, and looking for college in Italy/Europe, if they are a Italian / Dual citizen. What's the selection process like for them. What if anything should they know. Should they start to do something prior to looking for college. Any or all information on this process would be helpful. Are they at a disadvantage if they only know English. Would it be required if they know Italian fluently?
