I turned 7 in 84, and have a lot of memories from that year. I fell in love with movies that summer when my brothers took me to see Gremlins and Ghostbusters back to back, and my favorite toy line of the era, Transformers were introduced. I consider it a very key year of my early childhood.
HNY! 🎉 Man, this brings back memories! Was only eight y/o at the time, but I definitely remember watching this at my friend’s NYE party playing board games and Atari while waiting for the ball to drop. I’ve said this time and time again, but 84 is definitely one of my favorite years from the 80’s. 👍🏾 Thank you for the post 🙏🏾
There you have it, the quietest and most subdued Crazy Eddie ad you'll ever see! Captured for posterity 40 years later! Here's to another great year of commercials in 2024!
Happy New Year! Also, who would have expected to see Barry Manilow and the word breakdancing in the same sentence...or in the same description for that matter?
Happy New Year everyone! This was a great set of commercials that led up to 1984, & it was great to see some of those music performers. RIP Rick James & Laura Branigan.
Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice- Apparently Bruce Jenner is so big of a fan of Orange Juice, that, his house is painted to be the same color as the orange juice and is wearing a shirt that bears that same color. 29. WABC Happy New Year Bumper- The snowman in this bumper looks like he could be a long lost relative of Frosty The Snowman from the animated Christmas special, “Frosty Returns “.
Happy New Year! I can't wait for another year of fantastic uploads and wonderful commentary from all the fabulous subscribers to this channel. May your 2024 be better than your 2023!
Club Med-guess theyre all hung over from NYE celebrations too Blue Thunder- Airwolf > BT New Year's Rockin' Eve 1984-had The Cannon Group made Breakin 3 and casted Barry it wouldve been a surefire hit 🤣 Masquerade-some help the "runner"guy was Silkwood-"Oscar Nominations For Everyone!".. Meryl,Cher and Mike Nichols all shouldve won IMO McDonald's-39c hamburgers..good for if you have 5,10 or 20 bucks 😁 The Fall Guy-"..they wont know what hit'em!!" Colt probably fought that guy with the shovel when he tried to Dynasty-a target for kidnapping..? Entertainment Tonight-i think the announcer meant to say Jean Stapleton, not Edith Bunker.. Time Magazine-love that cover
I know the Dr. Pepper ad is obviously a nod to the Hunchback of Notre Dame; however, to me, it has some Safety Dance music video vibes too (ua-cam.com/video/nM4okRvCg2g/v-deo.htmlsi=13287e9yMivPQWw5)

I turned six in 1984 believe it or not. My favorite toy was my little pony. And also the Smurfs Walkman.
Happy New Year 80sCommercialVault and everyone! Looking forward to watching this set after I watch another ‘84 classic, the Terminator!

Ah yes! I wish I were born 40 years earlier as the commercials were so entertaining from the 50s to the 90s.
I’ve been watching this channel since 2008. I’m so happy to see it still uploading regularly. So much media has been preserved over the years here 🥲

Thanks so much for putting that damn song in my head…
@@yusakug sorry about that. I think it’s a good song; it’s definitely an ear worm though.
@@hopegrimsley3427I actually like it, too. Just impossible to get out of my head once it’s in. 😂. Happy New Year!
