great tutorial, straight to the point
Thank you so much for the tutorial very helpful. Glad I found your channel definitely going to follow
It's such a relief to know that the heat resistant tape doesn't affect the frosted glass. (I know, how else would I stick down the design, but just haven't used the frosted yet.)
Love!! We have those blanks too! Love your works!🥰
Thanks so much I messed up 3 glasses alredy hopefully it will now work Your tutorial
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for the tutorial! I was able to sublimate my first glass can with my Cricut Mug Press ;)
Yay!! 😁🤩 You’re welcome!!! 🦋
GREAT tutorial!! Just made three following your tutorial and they came out great. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much! 🥰 love to hear it helped! 😁 🫶🏽
which heat setting did you use?
Loved this video! Thank you for sharing. What are the measurements for the wrap? Mine didn’t come with the measurements and I’m having trouble getting them. TIA! ❤
Great tutorial. However, Ive watched several videos on subbing on the frosted glass and not a one (the ones ive watched) covered the topic of the texture of the outside of the glass. I have 6 glow in the dark beer can glasses and the surface is very rough like a course sandpaper. And yours is the only video that wiped it down with the rubbing alcohol.
Just made 17 glass cans using your tutorial 🥰 All turned out perfect and crisp on the edges...except the bottom of I forgot to tape it in my assembly line of cups😅
Oh the ones you showed at the start look really good.
Awesome tutorial! THANKS!!!! My 1st glass came out Perfect!!!
Yay!! That’s Awesome! Thank you ☺️
Very cute. Thanks for the great tutorial.
Thank you!! 😁
These are so cute!
Thank you!! ☺️
Hello! I’m totally new to this. I’m currently using vinyl to layer on this kind of glass cups. I’ve been thinking of changing it up to sublimation. When purchasing templates if they’re not at the size we need it how would I adjust it to the sizing of the cups? Thank you! This video has been very helpful.
Do you mind please telling me the measurements for these wraps? Mine didn’t come pre measured 😢
omg thank you
You’re welcome and thank you for watching! 🥰
I have a snow globe glass can. Is this the same steps for that too?
Does it matter how thick the silicon over the heating element is? I have a silicon mat that I can cut up and do that, but it's a bit thicker then yours.
Do you have the link to the silicon material to cover the head plate?
What size should the design be to fit this glass?
Will the press times be the same for a clear glass?
What size do you change them to if they don’t come like that already? I’m new to this
Did you use the high heat option or medium?
This is adorable! Thanks for sharing! One question--why do you need to rotate so many times, especially turning it upside down? Thanks! 😊
Hey! 😁 I turned it over on its rim to do the very top of the design because it wasn’t touching in the press when it was pressed on its bottom. :)
Thank you for watching! 💕💕
Which heat setting did you use?
Can u use regular uv dtf transfers to do this
hi if its one sided design, how long do i press for? thanks
Love this! Very easy to follow. My question is, do we have to use the silicone piece on the bottom?
Happen to know which heat setting she used? Or which did you use?
Can you please give me a suggestion or what to put at the bottom of the press if I don’t have that?
What kind of paper we need to buy for printing
Can u use regular uv dtf transfers
is there a certain kind of paper and ink to use in the printer ?
does that mean because the glass isnt thick enough u need them to work is that with any mug press?
Hi I followed your tutorial but both of.my attempts came out blank... The image didn't transfer do I need a specific type of glass can ?
Love this!! Does this work for the clear glass as well?
Yes it does!
what ink is used for this? I have this exact same printer but just the ink that was in it when it arrived. What was kind of paper was that printed on?
Great video!! Do you have a link to the design you used? Thanks!
Hey!! Yes here’s the link! She has tons of other cute ones too. 🥰 www.etsy.com/listing/1298315415/
Thanks for the tutorial, I don’t like the yellow heat tape either
You’re welcome and I know 😣😅 Thank you for watching! 💕
Hi, which epson model can u suggest for more affordable price?
Why do you put the small silicone in the bottom?
looks really good I do have a question. what are the care instructions on cleaning it? Like does the ink come off if you soak them are they dishwasher safe?
Hey!! I would recommend hand wash only :)
I have an Epson 2800. I did everything from my MacBook Pro like you did, but my image didn't transfer to the clear glass can using my mug press. Please help!
what is is size of this disign plz
I’m new to this and don’t have a sublimation printer so do you sell designs already printed out that you would just have to wrap around your glass and heat press? Love the video.
Hey!! I used to sell some but I took them off the store. I may try to add sublimation transfers again soon!
How long and what temp
Your video was easiest to follow along! Thank you! But I had ALOT of residue from the paper why did this happen? I’m not sure if I can save it the whole cup feels rough. I did the exact same time as you and this happened.
Hey!! Mine had residue too! Just get a wet rag/paper towel and rinse in sink and scrub it. :)
Have you tried in crystal clear cups?
Do you have the link for the 3 blue inserts that you talked about?
Hey!! I’m so sorry I forgot to link them! Here is the link and I also put it in the description. 💙amzn.to/3h7DKFD
Thank you so much for being so thorough with the tutorial!
If I do not have silicone, is there something else I can use to put on the metal plate?
Hey!! So I’ve seen some people say they don’t even use silicone on the bottom and have no issues but I just like the extra protection. :)
@@TheWesleysThank you!
@@TheWesleys Why do you place the silicon on the plate?
Where is the small black silicone piece for the bottom from?
The link for it doesn’t work. I’d like to know as well.
Could I cut it from regular permanent vinyl?Thank you so much
Hey! You can use permanent vinyl on any glasses using a SVG cut file. :) In this specific video I’m doing sublimation for the design. Thanks for watching!
Hi there, just caught your video. Thank you. But have a question because I want to start sublimating beer glass can glasses as well as tumblers. I bought the shrink wrap sleeves, can I use this in place of the butcher paper? I will also be using the Cricut mug press. Can you please advise? Thanks.
Sorry, one other question to my previous one above...can I use the same process for a 20oz glass?
What sublimation ink do you use? I bought the hippo sublimation ink but every time that I heat the picture on my glass cup it does not stick. And I even heat the cup for 5 minutes.
Hey! We use Cosmos Sublimation Ink. I have it linked in the drop description under this video. Is the glass you’re using labeled “sublimation glass cup”? Items need to have a polyester:polycrylic coating for the sublimation to print to.
Hi! Ok so you just go to your images in your downloads ? Then print from
There?
Yes :) I go to my downloads, select or double click the png and then file and print. The print dialog will automatically pop up.
Would this work with infused Ink transfer sheets?
Hey! I’m so late for reply! I’ve never tried infused ink! 🤷🏽♀️😁
Hello! The square piece of silicone-is that from Amazon also?
Hey! 😁 Yes it is :) it’s actually a sheet of silicone I cut the square out of. Here is the link amzn.to/3KGobRG
Hi! Do you need the butcher paper ? Or can I use regular parchment paper?
Hey! I have seen some people use parchment paper but I prefer butcher paper because it absorbs the moisture that is created when pressing. 😁
Should the glass have coated coat, or does it work on any glass heat resistance ?
Hey! The glasses or items you sublimate need some sort of polyurethane/polyester coating. You can experiment and coat your own items but I usually buy things labeled sublimation bc I know they’re prepared. :) I enjoy experimenting so that’s why I try different things on our channel! 😁❤️
Great tutorial. My question is. Do you use this cricut mug press to make coffee mugs?
I was wondering if timer being off and on without going through the full process might change the heat settings.
Hey!! Yes I make coffee mugs in my Cricut mug press as well. I don’t have problems with the heat settings but there are actually three on your mug press. :)
Does anyone have the links for buying the silicone?
Hey! The links are in the description drop box under this video. 🥰
Hi do you have to order the sublimation prints for glass or can you still use the ones for the tumblers??
All sublimation prints are the same and only differ in size for certain items:) I use sublimation ink and sublimation paper. The printer is the Epson 15000 that I bought NEW and filled with sublimation ink. Do not use the regular ink the printer comes w. 💛
Do you need to cool down the mug press before starting another cup? Or can you just keep going making them?
I usually prepare a few glasses and press them back to back. If you don’t prepare first then you may want to turn off the press so it doesn’t overheat and continue to keep turning off on its own. (It’s happened to me! 🫣😁
Where is the silicone link for the piece you put at the bottom of the press ?
Hey! I have it linked here for you: amzn.to/3j4gkTa
What type paper do u use please
Hey! I use A-Sub Sublimation Paper 125G ☺️ The link to it is listed in my description 💕
What are the care instructions for this? Is it dishwasher friendly? Please help!
Hey!! These are recommended hand wash only. :)
Hi where did you find your small silicone mat? Thank you ❤
Hey! The exact one I have came from Amazon but it is currently unavailable. 😕 Here is a set of two just a different brand! Here is the link: amzn.to/3hK939U
@@TheWesleys the small mat you put inside the mug press🙈
What type of paper did u print on? and did u print on regular printer?
Hey!! The sublimation paper and sublimation ink is what’s used for this. You would need a tumbler or mug press too. I have everything I use linked in the description of this video. :) I’m sorry for slow reply. Hope you have a great weekend! 💛
I have a question, is the paper you used to print the design normal paper or is it a special kind of paper ?
hi i need the same question answered is it normal paper or ?
The design that go in on cup is regular printer paper?
No it’s sublimation paper and sublimation ink. :)
Are the cans “sublimation” cans, or just regular frosted glass cans?
Hey!! They are sublimation glass cans. They have a poly coating wish allows sublimation to take place. :)
Does it only work on frosted glass?
Hey!! So there are clear glasses that are labeled “sublimation”glasses but you can always experiment with different ones. There is a polycrylic coating on sublimation glasses and that’s what you need for sublimation to work. I personally prefer frosted bc the prints do show better. :) 🩷
The design can be from photoshop? Or it has to be all with the cricut program?
Hey!! So with sublimation you can use any png image file. The image file name will say “footballcup.png” for example. You don’t need to use a Cricut design to sublimate:) Some ppl use programs mostly for measuring the wrap.
Do those cups come with the straws?
Hey! Yes they do come with the bent glass straw :) 💕
Great tutorial I will try this, quick question just wondering if it ever happened to you the glass broke?
Also how did you know about the times like 4 minutes then 2 minutes after you turned the glass?😊
Hey! I have never broken a glass :) The time and temp was just from watching videos and messing up MANY glasses, trial and error 😂
@@TheWesleys 😄 ok I will try this and let you know the out come. The reason why I ask about glass breaking because the thought scares me 😆
@@melodybabayy lol! I know seems scary but once you do the first one it will be easy 😅
@@TheWesleys ok thank you so much and when its a success I will let you know for sure 😊
Where can I find the small silicone piece for the bottom?
Hey!! I have all the items I use in my amazon storefront and linked in description under video it’s a little drop down arrow ^ Here is the link tho! amzn.to/45d6Rvc I just cut the square out from the sheet. ☺️
@@TheWesleys thanks !!!
Hi! I can’t get my image to transfer to a Libby glass, but I was able to transfer it to a diff style cup. What am I doing wrong? Are there diff types of Libby glasses?
Hey!! So they need to be cups/glasses labeled as sublimation cups UNLESS you coat them with a polycrylic coating. I’ve never seen someone coat the glass and have just tested unlabeled items to see if they would transfer. Most frosted glasses should sub easily. Clear glasses May not always work. 🩵
I’ve used polycrylic spray on different regular items before sublimating such as tiles, metals, canvases, faux leather books. Just spray light coating let dry, repeat and then let dry overnight and sublimate 😁
Ok! I returned those cups (def not sublimation) and ordered new ones from Amazon, they did transfer the ink but only slightly and I used the thickest silicone wrap mat. Can you add the link to the clear glasses you use?
How much this circuit press machine..
Hey!! Anywhere from $149- $200. :) You can buy them used tho!
👍👍👍
😍
I bought a sublimation wrap, and I did everything you did and the picture did not transfer very well. It came out very light or not at all. Help 😢
Me too. I just don't understand 😕 🤦
Put your temperature higher!
I had the same issue... Did you solves it?
I have the same issue except mine did not transfer at all. The transfer worked on mugs, so not sure if it’s the glass or using the glass in the Cricut press or what
Can we use the sublimation print multiple times?
Hey :) I would recommend using a print only once to make sure the colors are really vibrant and also reduce the possibility of ghosting. If you don’t press an item for the full time (usually 50 seconds for shirts/@380*) a lot of the ink may remain on the paper so it obviously wouldn’t hurt to reuse it if you didn’t want to waste the ink. 💕
@@TheWesleys Thank you :)
Ever had any issues where the ink doesn't transfer to the cup? We are trying this with my wife have pretty much the same set up as you and or print aren't transferring? Any idea why? thanks for your time.
Hey!! Do you have a sublimation printer, sublimation ink and a press?
Be sure the items you sublimate are labeled “sublimation blank” or have a polyester/polycrylic coating. A regular cup or glass may not sublimate anything at all if it does not have a poly coating/substrate. 💕
how many minutes for just one side image ?
Hey! It would be 4 minutes for a one side print :) 💕
Is this all really necessary please don't get me wrong but I just saw a person with the same setup do it in less steps.
When was their video made 😂 they probably copied me. Idc but we both get paid the same. 😭😂
@@TheWesleys haha! I didn't check. But to be fair, they didn't use the Cricut mug press. They ended up using something more commercial
Okay yes I have a commercial press now that much quicker and easier but I made the video for those that don’t have one. 🩵😁
🤗💗💗💗💗
New
Hey!! Thank you for watching!! 💛
Can u use regular uv dtf transfers
